Chapter 215 Unicorn and Stone Arch

Chapter 215 Unicorn and Stone Arch

"Can it be blown now?" Lupin asked, looking at the whistle that looked exactly the same.

Severus had no doubts about this.

“Nicole said it was fixed, so it must be perfectly fine now.”

"Then what are we still hesitating about? Don't you want to find the legendary Fountain of Good Fortune?"

Upon hearing his words, Severus shook his head.

"The Fountain of Good Fortune is not the goal. The key is to find another person who is clearly interested in the Fountain of Good Fortune by following the clues left by that underground ruin."

After he finished speaking, the research room fell silent.

After a moment, Lupin looked at Severus with a furrowed brow.

"So, now that things have come to this, can you tell me why you chose to come here?"

Severus did not answer; he simply looked into Lupin's eyes and smiled.

"You actually had a suspicion all along, didn't you?"

The two stared at each other for a long time before Lupin finally took a deep breath.

“I can’t believe you’re really going to do that, and it’s too audacious. If you’re looking to find him, you should call Dumbledore over too.”

“Dumbledore?” Severus chuckled. “Believe me, with so much attention being drawn to what’s happening here, even if he has ulterior motives, he’ll be carefully observing everyone. If he finds anyone troublesome, he’ll definitely run away without hesitation.”

Lupin's gaze did not leave Severus.

"You seem to know a lot about his current situation?"

“Perhaps I know him better than he knows himself,” Severus shrugged, as if making a joke.

"But what about Harry? Bringing Harry here to find him is tantamount to putting Harry in danger!"

Severus simply said this calmly.

“Look, even you think that bringing Harry here is putting him in danger. Do you think he might think the same way? That I am still his most loyal servant, having found and brought his mortal enemies to him? Would he still doubt my loyalty?”

Lupin's tightly furrowed brows remained furrowed.

"What if Harry really gets into danger?"

“He is incapable of harming anyone right now,” Severus said seriously. “This is the weakest he has ever been. If we can seize this opportunity, we will never have to worry about him again. But if we miss it, who knows how many people will die in the future.”

"Among those who died, there was you, there was me, there was that reckless, stupid dog, and many others, both younger and older."

Lupin simply stared into Severus's eyes, and finally he took a deep breath.

“My father chose to believe you, and he didn’t make a mistake.”

"I think I can trust you this once."

Severus was not surprised by his answer; he simply made a sarcastic remark.

"Back at Hogwarts, did you ever imagine you'd ever trust me again?"

Lu Ping said calmly.

"At that time, I did think that if I actually bit you to death after I transformed into a werewolf, it would be worth it even if I went to jail."

"I should thank you for your past tactlessness."

Severus casually pointed his wand at the silver whistle, and Lupin's gaze was already fixed on it as well.

“I have a feeling that something unusual will happen after this thing is blown. The unicorn can’t just appear out of thin air in front of us after the whistle is blown and then take us away.”

Lupin gripped his wand tightly, ready to fight.

The next moment, a gust of wind blew from Severus's wand, the flowing air passed through the whistle, and then a crisp sound rang out!

The whistle sounded like a bird's song and had a very strong penetrating power. The sound quickly spread from the research room, then from the tent, then from the troll camp, and almost throughout the entire forest!
The wizards who were exploring the forest in search of the Fountain of Good Fortune almost all heard this clear whistle.

Everyone looked up in confusion, trying to find the source of the sound.

However, no one could tell where the sound came from, but a golden figure suddenly appeared at the edge of the forest!
Many wizards saw the golden shadow rushing toward the center of the forest at an incredible speed.

"It's that golden unicorn!"

"Oh my god! We've seen it! It's appeared!"

"Quick! Keep up with it! It will definitely lead us to the Fountain of Good Fortune!"

Almost every wizard who saw this unicorn thought of chasing after it and following it to find the legendary spring.

But the unicorn was too fast; ordinary wizards couldn't catch up. Only those wizards who were fully prepared and had flying brooms could keep up with it from the sky.

The golden unicorn hadn't stopped since it appeared; it raced all the way until it finally arrived at the troll camp where Severus and his companions were.

The commotion outside drew Severus and Lupin out of their tent, and there they saw the legendary golden unicorn by the river!
Unlike the somewhat blurry figure in the photo, once you see this unicorn in person, just one glance is enough to tell that it is no ordinary creature.

Its pale golden fur, like a fairy's wings, shimmered even in the daytime, and its long, sharp horn, as if made of pure gold, emitted a metallic luster.

Just as the unicorn appeared, Harry and the others heard the noise and came out of the tent. Upon seeing the unicorn, both Harry and Draco's eyes lit up!
"It's that unicorn that can lead us to the Fountain of Good Fortune!" Draco screamed, feeling a dreamlike sensation as if a beautiful dream had suddenly come true.

Harry's eyes widened, and he didn't even notice the fluffy creature that had jumped off his shoulder.

Above them, six or seven wizards who had been chasing after them on flying broomsticks had gathered. They had all seen the unicorn finally stop at this spot.

Just as everyone was watching the incredibly sacred-looking creature, a dazzling light suddenly shone from the unicorn's horn.

The light was so dazzling that everyone who was looking at it instinctively turned their heads away and closed their eyes, until the light dissipated and everyone looked back at the location of the golden unicorn.

There, a rough archway made of stacked stones quietly appeared!
The golden unicorn stood beside the archway, and after summoning it, it turned and walked inside.

The amazing thing is that no matter whether you look at it from the front or the back, the archway is clearly a continuous passage, but the unicorn just disappears from it!
This scene immediately excited the wizards riding flying brooms in the sky.

Two of them, without any hesitation, lowered their flying brooms the very next second after the unicorn disappeared, and with a "whoosh," they flew into the archway!

Like the golden unicorn, their figures vanished without a trace the moment they passed through the archway, as if they had evaporated into thin air.

Seeing this, the other wizards no longer hesitated and rushed into the archway.

Harry and Draco were clearly getting anxious.

They were the ones who summoned the golden unicorn to open the door, but now someone else has taken it first.

But just as they were grabbing Severus's sleeve, wanting him to lead them through the door, Severus pressed down on their shoulders.

"Don't rush. Have you forgotten the original story of the Fountain of Good Fortune? Even if the entrance is opened, you won't find the spring water immediately. There are still many difficulties to overcome in between."

"What else do we need to prepare? A wand? I've already brought one!" Harry said impatiently, as if he couldn't wait a second longer.

Draco, too, would have rushed into the stone archway long ago if Severus hadn't been holding him back.

At this moment, Harry seemed to have figured something out, and he looked at Severus with a suspicious expression.

"Teacher, you don't want to take us in, do you? You promised us! You said that after we helped the troll build the house, we could go find the legendary Fountain of Good Fortune! It's right here now, you can't stop us from going!"

Severus looked at him helplessly.

“Since you met me, when have I ever broken my promise to you? Don’t worry, I know that even if I don’t take you in now, you two will find a way to sneak in later. You’re going to go anyway, so I’ll keep you by my side from the beginning.”

"Then what are we waiting for!" Draco cheered upon hearing Severus's words. "We can set off right now!"

"We're waiting so that you two understand that you'll have to follow those rules once you're inside."

“We promise we’ll do as you say!” Harry emphasized hastily.

“We will never run around!” Draco added.

Severus crossed his arms and emphasized.

"But these two points are not enough. You must also ensure that you report any new or interesting discoveries you make inside to the adults immediately. In case of emergencies, you must ensure that you stay with the adults and do not act on your own."

“We promise!” Harry and Draco said in unison.

“Blake will be following you around, watching you,” Severus added as a safety precaution.

Blake, who had been lying to one side, showing no interest in either the golden unicorn or the suddenly appearing stone archway, instinctively showed a disdainful expression in his eyes after hearing Severus's words.

But when he saw Harry again, he hesitated for a few seconds, then reluctantly got up and followed behind Harry.

After making these preparations, Severus was finally ready to enter the stone archway.

Aside from their small team of two adults, two children, and a dog, Nico, who had personally repaired the Silver Whistle, had absolutely no interest in the legendary Fountain of Good Fortune that Helbo was guiding.

After confirming that Severus and Lupin were in front, Harry and Draco in the middle, and Black was at the back of the group, they finally entered the stone archway.

Nico watched their figures disappear, then shakily pulled a deck chair out of the tent, sat down, and leisurely watched as wizards from other parts of the forest, having received the news, came searching for him, and finally, one after another, they called their friends and rushed into the stone archway.

So many people are chasing after that elusive luck.

He murmured to himself, then looked up at the azure sky.

"Why not try to take control of what we call destiny?"

The moment they stepped through the stone archway, Severus and his companions felt as if they had passed through a film of water. After a brief moment of dampness and cold, they found themselves in a brand new space!

This is at the foot of a high mountain, and it's hard to tell if it's still in the forest of Albania.

But the fact that the sun was not visible in the clear sky led Lupin to make a guess.

“We may have been pulled into a special space. I read in some books that some ancient wizards liked to leave behind their legacy in such spaces, waiting for later generations to discover it.”

Severus was pulling out some alchemical gadgets, like shorthand quills, from his pocket, but these things had lost their effectiveness here.

"Most of the alchemical tools have failed, and many people had already entered before us. Even if they were moving very fast, they couldn't have moved so fast that we couldn't even see their backs."

He looked up at the hillside, where the trees were so dense that it was impossible to see what was inside.

"Either each group of people is sent to a different location after entering the stone arch, or the place we are in now is actually an illusion, and that the door has collectively sent us to another place, and then trapped us in this illusion."

Just then, Severus suddenly felt a weight on his shoulder and a fuzzy sensation on his cheek.

He turned to look at his left shoulder, where the fluffy cat that Harry had adopted when he first arrived in the forest had inexplicably jumped onto his shoulder.

Upon seeing this almost mindless, magical creature enter, Severus immediately dismissed his second conjecture.

“This shouldn’t be an illusion. The setup for this Fountain of Good Fortune has been in place for at least a thousand years. No wizard could maintain such a sophisticated illusion for a thousand years without making a mistake.”

"So, are we going to set off now?!" Harry and Draco rubbed their hands together, their faces full of excitement.

For them, this is the real adventure!
Severus didn't spoil their fun; he pointed to the hilltop.

According to legend, we must climb to the top of the mountain.
