Chapter 165 Barty's Harvest

Chapter 165 Barty's Harvest
Luo could smell the sea and hear the sound of the surging waves.

He stood on a high, black rock protruding from the sea, with waves rolling and foaming beneath his feet.

He turned his head to look behind him, and there stood a cliff, its steep rock face falling straight down, dark and indistinct.

Several large rocks, like the one where he and Barty were standing, seemed to have broken off from the front of the cliff sometime in the past. The surrounding area was bare and desolate, with no trees, grass, or beach in sight except for the vast sea and rocks.

"Where...where is this?" Rol shrugged, cautiously following behind Little Barty.

"A small island near England."

Little Barty stared at the giant boulders that were half-exposed above the sea around the cliffs, his eyes shining with excitement.

“Some Muggles use this place for leisure and vacation, but most of the time no one comes here.”

"How...how did you find this place?" Rol looked around nervously.

Little Barty simply pointed to his head.

“I told you before, the ring left by the master showed me some scenes, and this place is one of those scenes!”

Luo Er finally stopped being so nervous and scared, but the damp, salty sea breeze still made him shiver.

Where do we go now?

This time, Barty didn't answer his question, but instead raised his wand.

"Fluorescence."

The tip of his wand glowed with a golden light, illuminating the dark rock wall in front of him!

Through this light, Luo Er could clearly see a crack in the cliff, with dark seawater swirling inside.

"How's your swimming skill?" Little Barty suddenly asked.

Luo Er didn't react immediately, but after two or three seconds, he suddenly realized what Little Barty wanted to do.

At this moment, Little Barty had already taken off the large robe he was wearing and threw it on the rocks beside him, revealing the close-fitting shirt and trousers underneath.

He asked Luo Er's question as if it were just a casual remark, and he didn't really care whether he would get a positive answer or not.

When Luo Er came to his senses, he had already crouched down and then silently slipped into the water!

Barty was clearly familiar with everything in the water. He held the wand in his mouth and swam toward the dark crevice in the rock with a very standard freestyle stroke.

He was incredibly fast. Before Rol could even hurriedly take off his outer robe, Little Barty's figure had already disappeared into the darkness, with only scattered golden light faintly shining through the gaps between the water and the surface.

Soon, Luo Er also jumped into the water with a "plop".

He could swim, but his technique was clearly not as good as Barty's. After struggling and swallowing mouthfuls of salty and seaweed-tasting seawater, he finally managed to keep up with Barty.

They swam through the crevice into a dark, murky passage, and swam there for a long time. Only when the icy seawater made Rol's fingers numb did he see Little Barty stand up in front of him and walk back onto solid ground.

Rol followed him and stood up from the seawater.

"cough cough"

The Death Eater, who was not good at swimming, coughed incessantly and eventually even began to gag.

"Don't spit it into the seawater, we might have to swim there later."

Little Barty said indifferently.

But then his face lit up with undisguised delight as he walked up the stone steps that were clearly man-made!
Rol grumbled a couple of times as he followed little Barty with difficulty into a large cave.

They used spells to dry their clothes, which had been soaked by seawater. Although they could no longer feel the cold dampness, Rol still looked around uneasily; there was no way forward.

"What should we do next?"

Barty didn't look at him; he just stared at the stone wall in front of him, reached out to touch it, and then raised his wand again.

He didn't chant any incantation; he simply waved his hand lightly at the stone wall.

However, nothing appeared on the stone wall, but some obscure and profound patterns caught Little Barty's eye at that moment.

A smile spread across his face.

"This is it! Only the master could have set up such a system! It refuses entry to outsiders. Even the master's most loyal servant must leave something behind to enter!"

"Things? What things?" Roel looked at Little Barty in surprise.

Because he discovered that this young man, who possessed the same ruthlessness as his master, had somehow already grasped a short knife that had been transformed by shapeshifting!

This made Rol's eyes widen, and he backed away uneasily.

"No, no! You can't do this!"

"Don't be afraid, I'm not going to kill you!"

As Little Barty spoke, he pulled Rol in front of him and then slashed Rol's arm without hesitation with the short blade!

"what!!"

The pain of his skin being cut open by a sharp blade made Roel scream.

A bright red and glaring thick liquid was sprayed onto the stone wall, leaving a pattern like unfolding plum blossoms!

"Stop yelling, it's just some blood!"

Little Barty spoke calmly, while gently stroking the fresh, narrow wound on Rol's arm with his wand, and the wound healed instantly.

The physical wounds may have healed, but the blood that had flowed out could not be returned in a short time.

Luo Er's face was pale; he had suffered a double blow to both his mind and body, and his body was trembling uncontrollably.

A dazzling white archway outline appeared on the cave wall.

The blood-stained rock inside the archway suddenly disappeared, revealing a doorway that seemed to lead into endless darkness.

"Follow me."

Little Barty continued walking ahead, calling out to Roll.

Rol shivered, glanced back, hesitated for a moment, and then continued to follow Little Barty.

Through the doorway, they stood on the shore of a large, dark lake.

The lake was incredibly wide and boundless, making it impossible to see the opposite shore in the distance. The cave they were in was very high, and even looking up, they couldn't see the top of the cave.

Seeing this, Barty became even more excited! He took a deep breath of the still foul-smelling air and then walked along the shore of the large lake in front of him.

"Hurry up and keep up! Even if our master isn't here, he must have hidden something extremely important here!"

Roel trembled as he followed behind Little Barty, but this time he deliberately kept a distance from him.

He looked uneasily at the calm, mirror-like surface of the lake, but could not see anything in the center. It was shrouded in a hazy green light, as if concealing something.

Not long after, Little Barty made a surprising discovery on the shore!
He stood on the edge of the rock, one hand clenched into a fist as if grasping something, and finally, he tapped his fist with his wand.

Immediately, a thick green copper chain suddenly emerged from the depths of the lake. Little Barty grabbed the chain and pulled a small boat out of the lake!
Rol watched this scene in shock.

He was completely speechless. Before, he thought that Barty had found this place because he had received some profound revelation from the ring. But now, if he still held that idea, he would be sorely mistaken!

Their ability to get here was not solely due to the information provided by the ring to Barty Jr. The young man before them possessed a talent and wisdom that most Death Eaters lacked!

Little Barty obviously didn't know what Roll was thinking, but even if he did, he wouldn't care.

After pulling the small boat to the shore, they discovered that it could only carry one person across the lake to the center of the lake, which was glowing with green light.

Little Barty forced Rol to board the ship first. No matter how much he pleaded with Little Barty, he could not soften the heart of this young man who was as cold as iron when facing anyone except his master.

In the end, Roll could only board the small boat with trepidation, and then Little Barty cast a spell on himself.

The spell allowed him to float in mid-air like a balloon, and Rol could simply grab his sleeve to sit on the boat and take him wherever they wanted to go.

The small boat started moving, and they sped towards the center of the lake.

As he moved forward, Luo clearly saw those things in the lake!
Corpse!

Countless corpses!

His body was stiff and cold, like a dead man, and the hand that was holding Little Barty was trembling uncontrollably.

But Little Barty didn't even glance down at what was underwater; his eyes remained fixed on the green light in the center of the lake!
The green light grew larger and larger. A few minutes later, the small boat hit something and came to a stop. Then, Barty broke the spell on his body and lit his wand again.

This is a small island in the middle of a lake, and the thing emitting a green light is actually a stone basin!
The two of them approached the stone basin, which was filled with a bright green liquid that shimmered with phosphorescence.

Little Barty's figure trembled uncontrollably with excitement.

right here!

The place he saw in those images, where the owner put a locket, was right here!

Although he didn't know what the liquid in the basin was, he could tell from the images he had seen how it should be removed.

He conjured a goblet with his wand and placed it in Rol's hand.

"Use this to scoop out the liquid from the basin, and then drink it!"

Luo Er was terrified!

He instinctively stepped back.

"You can't do this! It will kill me! Who knows what kind of poison it is!"

“It won’t poison you, I’m sure. You have to listen to me and drink it!” Little Barty said impatiently to Rol.

"If it's not poisonous, why don't you drink it yourself!"

Raul clearly couldn't believe Little Barty's assurance. He continued to back away, unaware that he had unknowingly retreated to the lakeside!

A pale, marble-like hand suddenly emerged from the once calm, mirror-like surface of the water and grabbed Roel's ankle!

"Oh my god!! No!! I want to go back!!!"

This terrified Rohr to the extreme!

He shouted, but more and more arms emerged from the lake. The things that were originally dormant seemed to be disturbed and all came to life. They rushed to drag a living life down and make it like them!

Just then, a blazing light suddenly appeared!

Barty waved his wand with a cold expression, crimson flames erupting from the tip of his wand.

The monsters that were initially excited and wanted to rush out of the water all retreated back into their lair the next second after being exposed to the light and heat.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Little Barty grabbed Roll's hair and pulled him back from the lakeside, then threatened him in a voice colder and more sinister than the seawater.

"If you listen to me and drink what's in the basin, you won't die. But if you don't want to, I can't guarantee that the things underwater won't have an extra midnight snack tonight!"

Luo Er was clearly terrified.

Among the group that Barty Jr. gathered, he could be considered the best of the best; he was simply the tallest among the short!
The truth is that, apart from Barty Jr., everyone including Raul was a bunch of rabble.

In this situation, Rol had neither the ability nor the courage to resist. Under the cold gaze of Little Barty, he could only stand up again, pale-faced and trembling, while holding onto the stone basin, and then take the wine glass.

His hands were trembling as he scooped out a cup of slowly sifting green fluorescent water.

Luo stared at the liquid in the glass, closed his eyes, gritted his teeth, and put it into his mouth!
He couldn't taste anything at all, as if nothing was flowing into his throat.

But when he finished his drink and looked back at the stone basin, a strange sense of fear and resistance rose in his heart.

But with Little Barty's piercing gaze fixed on him, he could only repeat the action he had just taken and drank the second cup!
After finishing that drink, he collapsed to the ground.

"No, I can't drink it. I want to go back. I don't want to drink it anymore."

Little Barty stared coldly at Rol, realizing that the liquid in the stone basin was the one that had an effect.

He showed no pity for Rol, but snatched the wine glass from his hand, then scooped out another glass of liquid and forced it into Rol's mouth!

You must drink it!

Rol was struggling desperately, but every time Little Barty brought the liquid to his lips, he would drink it all down as if he were extremely thirsty!

Finally, the medicine in the stone basin was empty.

A gold locket lay there quietly.

Little Barty dropped his cup, ignoring Roel who kept shouting in a hoarse voice that he was thirsty and wanted water.

He just stared wide-eyed, as if he were holding some sacred relic.

Take the pendant box out of the stone basin.
