Chapter 146 This is the result you wanted.
Do you know why Albus didn't come himself?
After listening to Severus's account, Grindelwald asked a question that had absolutely nothing to do with Vader and his group.
Severus hesitated for a moment before speaking.
"Dumbledore said it's because some people in the wizarding world don't want to see him and you having too much contact, which would make some sensitive people overthink things."
"That's certainly one aspect, but not the main reason."
Grindelwald was still smiling.
"The real reason he didn't want to come was because he felt guilty."
"Guilt?" Severus repeated.
Grindelwald turned to look out the window. The night sky was clear tonight, and the brilliant stars were clearly visible.
"You were once a Death Eater."
He revealed Severus's identity.
Severus was not surprised at all, and he shrugged in agreement.
"I did have a crazy owner eight years ago."
"Tom Riddell is a genius."
Grindelwald lavishly praised the dark wizard who followed him, another one who instilled fear in the wizarding world.
"His talent in magic far surpasses that of anyone I know. Even Albus is far inferior to him in some aspects."
"He may be more ambitious than me and better at finding the right angle to win people over, but when he actually started to realize his ambitions, he became more and more crazy and deviated from his original plan."
Grindelwald stared at Severus.
"I'm sure he learned from my failures early on. The resistance would be unbearable if multiple major powers' ministries of magic were to unite, so he initially focused his main target on Britain."
"But he didn't maintain his initial shrewdness and talent. His madness frightened some of his original supporters."
"So for decades he was unable to completely control the whole of Britain until the prophecy came true."
Severus raised an eyebrow at this. Grindelwald was right; Voldemort was indeed a classic example of someone who was wise in the early stages but became senile later.
However, Grindelwald clearly did not know the inside story about Horcruxes.
“The theory of pure-blood ideologies is too extreme,” Grindelwald commented casually. “If it were Riddle when he first proposed this idea, he might have gradually improved his theory later on. But he not only did not do that, he became more and more insane, so insane that the foundation of his rule came entirely from his personal power, rather than a vision that was sufficient to satisfy the interests of the vast majority of people.”
“When we were young, Abu and I wanted to build a world that was against the Wizarding Secrets Act, and we put forward two urgent tasks.”
"Find and possess the three Deathly Hallows, and wield the power of the master of death."
"Overthrow the Law of Secrecy and establish a new order led by wise and powerful wizards and sorcerers, who will rule the world, including Muggles, in a benevolent manner."
"The first plan was a preparation for the second plan, and at that time, we were not the only wizards who had the same idea. Countless of our compatriots, including Vida and his group, scoffed at the Secret Law."
He looked at Severus with a smile.
"But Albus betrayed our original intentions, which is the main reason why he was ashamed to come to see me even though he defeated me."
“But for Vader and his men, even after my defeat, they never forgot why they were united. That’s very different from the Death Eaters, isn’t it? Riddle’s current loyalists are just a bunch of lunatics who can do nothing but destroy.”
Grindelwald didn't seem to mind talking to Severus more.
He had been alone in that tower for a long time, rarely having anyone come by, especially not Dumbledore's men. He spoke without any restraint about Dumbledore's past betrayal of him. And at this point, Severus understood.
Grindelwald smiled when he heard what the group of old UMNO members had done, not because he knew someone was coming to rescue him, but because he was happy that his past ideals were still remembered by a group of old men.
Unlike Voldemort, who built his power through personal strength, he relied on the ideals that most wizards had once accepted.
"Since you're happy that they still remember your shared ideals, why trap yourself in this situation?"
Severus asked a rather private question.
If Grindelwald hadn't proactively told him all this, he wouldn't have actually planned to ask.
But after noticing that the old man seemed quite interested in chatting, he took the initiative to ask a question.
However, Grindelwald did not respond to this.
He simply turned his head to glance at the waning moon in the night sky and said softly.
"They're almost here. Since Albus sent you here, I'd like to ask you to do something for me as well."
Upon seeing the inscription at the entrance to Nurmengard, several old wizards were moved to tears.
Over the years, they have never forgotten why they came together.
Many significant events have occurred in the European magical world over the years, almost causing them to abandon the plan originally organized by Vader.
But in the end, they still succeeded!
They were well-prepared, and returned with Nicolas Flamel and the original blueprints from when the prison was built.
Vida tried to steady her breathing as she turned to look at Nicolas Flamel.
"This isn't a natural prison like Azkaban; it's a man-made structure built entirely by fairies and wizards, incorporating numerous alchemical techniques! You can dismantle it, right? No one in this world can surpass you in alchemy!"
Nicolas Flamel did not answer her question; he simply gazed at the tower with a sense of wonder.
At the very top of the tower, a light flickers, as if it could be blown out by the wind at any moment.
Have you been here before?
Vida stared intently at him.
"We can't open that door!"
“That’s because he doesn’t actually want to see you.” Lema’s words caused a commotion among the old wizards around them.
Elf-like figures were shouting threats from the crowd, while dark wizards pulled out their wands.
But Vida simply said coldly.
“We’re already here, Nico. You don’t need to waste time saying things like that. We just want a result.”
Lemaître laughed, stretching out his withered arm, like an old tree branch, and pointing towards the prison entrance.
"This is the result you wanted."
Everyone present turned to look in the direction he was pointing.
The prison gate was pushed open from the inside at some point.
A figure that was very familiar to Vida, dressed in a black robe and with a short ponytail, stood in front of the opened door!
