Chapter 30

After a brief exchange, Jordan Belfort warmly offered his guest a bottle of champagne.

The company has no shortage of three things: alcohol, women, and flour.

“I remember now, you're that handsome, helpful citizen from Times Square! Dude, your words really resonated with me; you spoke my mind. I've never felt so much for anyone before. Fuck New York, this chaotic city cost me two good brothers!”

"The passing of a close friend is indeed a heartbreaking thing."

“Mr. Greco, thank you for helping those incompetent cops catch the murderer. The experts at the Continental Hotel are indeed extraordinary. Let’s get down to business. Name your price and help me take out those FBI agents who are investigating me.”

This guy got carried away and probably took a lot of sleeping pills, so his head isn't working too well right now. He immediately told Luca to kill the FBI agents.

“What’s the point of killing them? If agents are assassinated during the investigation, the FBI will only send more people to deal with you. Balfour, then your charges won’t just be stock manipulation, but also murder of government officials.”

Luca took the drink Jordan offered but didn't drink it; who knows what weird stuff was in it?

Jordan rubbed his still slightly dizzy head. "I know your rules. You're paid to do things, so just tell me how you want to help me. As long as you can help me get rid of the FBI's troubles, just name your price."

"500."

"."

Jordan's mind cleared instantly. "Oh shit! Are you crazy or am I? The SEC's fine doesn't even need to be 500 million, and you want 500 million? Do you know how much 500 million is? If you piled it up, it could bury your head and suffocate you!"

"The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) will take more than 500 million yuan from you. They will also force you to withdraw from the stock market, completely cutting off your source of income."

Luca spread his hands. "With your abilities, if you continue running the company, is it difficult to earn 5 million? You're the Wolf of Wall Street; you can earn 20 million in three hours."

That makes sense, and that's why Jordan broke the agreement. It wasn't that he couldn't afford the fine, but that he didn't want to leave the company.

The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) wanted to completely cut off his source of income, which he naturally refused to do.

But $500 million is too much. Jordan shook his head and said, "No one will accept your offer, and I don't have that much money right now. All my fixed assets are under FBI surveillance. With such a large amount of money flowing through my account, the FBI will definitely track it down."

"Don't you have 2000 million in savings in Switzerland?"

"!!!"

Jordan's pupils contracted sharply, filled with horror.

Shit! How did this guy know about this?

The money was earned through insider trading and stock manipulation. To hide the ill-gotten gains, he had his wife and business partner find a group of relatives in Switzerland to smuggle the cash to Switzerland. After several trips, the money was laundered and deposited into his wife's aunt's account.

Only a handful of people know about this, not even the FBI. How did this assassin know?
Jordan suddenly felt a sense of dread, as if his underwear had been seen through.

Wait a minute, I'm not wearing underwear right now.
He feigned ignorance and evaded the question, saying, "What twenty million? My accounts are all under FBI surveillance; all the funds are..."

"If I remember correctly, that money was kept with your wife's aunt. And the Swiss banker who helped you launder the money was named Jane Jacques Sorel. He was the one who suggested you open a front-running operation in Switzerland under a relative's name, and it was during the money transfers..."

"That's enough! Stop talking!"

Jordan said with a grim expression, "How the hell did you know? Did Donnie tell you? Or Naomi?"

One is his business partner, and the other is his sexy wife.

"Still my two dead brothers?" Jordan stared intently at Luka.

Luca simply placed the gold coins on the table. "Don't get excited, buddy. Do you think the information I just shared is worth 500 million?"

"."

Okay, you're the assassin, you're the boss. A flicker of fear crossed Jordan's eyes. He took a deep breath and raised his hand:
"Okay, okay, 500 million, right? Tell me first, how are you going to help me get out of this mess? I'm demanding that the SEC drop the charges against me and make those damn FBI flies disappear from my life completely!"

"The CSRC's accusations and investigations cannot be cancelled."

Luca shook his head. "Your company defrauded customers with penny stocks, manipulated stock prices with your friend's insider trading, and evaded taxes by declaring company costs as private jets and brothel services. If I remember correctly, 100 million shares of Steve Shoes' IPO came from your insider trading."

With each thing Luka said, Jordan became more and more anxious.

Shit! How does this guy know everything?

Is Damn, isn't he a federal agent? How did they find out so much?
Or does he have the ability to read my mind?

A wizard?
Jordan increasingly felt that the person in front of him was filled with a strange and mysterious aura.

Luca spread his hands. "Your company has committed countless crimes. How could the Securities and Futures Commission possibly let you off the hook?"

Jordan was furious: "I don't need you reminding me of these damn things, I need a solution!"

“Calm down, buddy,” Luca said calmly. “You can handle the SEC’s troubles on your own, right? They’ve been investigating for so long and haven’t found any evidence. It’s just that the FBI’s involvement has thrown you off balance.”

The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) is a civil body, while the FBI investigates criminal offenses; they are not on the same level at all.

Luca greatly admired Jordan's abstract and awesome company. The SEC investigated their finances for so long but couldn't do anything about them. Finally, when they were really forced to, they called in the FBI to investigate.

Luca said slowly, "Of all the investment banks on Wall Street, which one has clean hands? Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, these big investment banks guaranteed debt instruments and hyped up internet concept stocks. You know that's all bullshit. What they did was much more serious than what you did. They are the real wolves of Wall Street, and you are just a golden retriever."

Jordan: "."

It can't be a Golden Retriever, it's a German Shepherd at least!
Luca: "But they can handle the FBI, you can't, that's the difference between you. I can help you solve the FBI's problems and prevent them from finding evidence of your crimes, as long as you follow my instructions. As for the SEC, you can handle it yourself, I believe you are capable of dealing with them."

Luca mainly didn't understand the professional aspects of finance, so he didn't bother with the Securities and Exchange Commission, but he knew why Jordan had been arrested by the FBI.

Dealing with those problems in advance and cutting off the FBI's chain of evidence would allow Jordan to remain at large for the time being.

For example, Steve Shoes later betrayed Jordan and caused him a lot of trouble.

Jordan asked with some skepticism, "You really can handle the FBI for me?" "As long as you're not stupid enough to confess your crimes to the FBI, I can make those agents leave empty-handed."

Luca picked up the coin, flicked it with his thumb, and the coin spun once in the air before landing in his palm. He glanced at Jordan's tense face, his gaze turning playful.
“Belford, you have no choice now, because I know more about your crimes than the FBI does. You have no choice but to cooperate with me.”

Luca smiled and extended his hand. "I believe in making money through harmony, and I value peace above all else. I'll help you, you help me, and we'll both get rich, how about it? You don't want the FBI to know about this, do you?"

Jordan cursed "Fuck you!" countless times in his mind, then smiled and shook Luka's hand.
But now he'd rather have a bottle of sleeping pills and then fuck all the female employees in the company.

[Bond: Follow]

[Jordan: SR]

【Persuasive: When giving a public speech, your words are more persuasive, inspiring, and morale-boosting. The audience is more likely to be persuaded by you by an additional 10% to 30% (depending on your speaking ability).

When communicating by phone, you are more likely to gain the other party's trust, trust +10%; when promoting stocks by phone, trust level increases by an additional 20%.

[The Wolf of Wall Street: When illicit proceeds are obtained, the conversion rate of stolen money increases by 50%]

[Learning Requirements: Bond level must be at least Partner level; Requires 200 Skill Fragments]

All three skills are quite good.

The first is his incredible persuasive speaking skills; I bet every US president knows that trick. But let's skip the second part; Luca doesn't want to be a stockbroker.

The second nerve paralysis skill isn't just effective against drugs like heroin; it can also be used with things like truth serum and anesthetics.

The term "toxin" here is a relatively broad concept.

Luca had to admire Jordan; that guy, with his womanizing ways and drug use, had somehow developed a resistance to drugs.

The most crucial skill is the "Wolf of Wall Street".

Magic skills.

Jimmy's skill level resulted in a 5% conversion rate for stolen money, and only 20% after clearing out teammates, while Jordan's was 50%.

For example, with 100 million in illicit funds, no matter how the money is laundered, there will be some loss. If the loss is 20, then Jordan's skill can reduce the loss to 10.

Luca could only sigh in amazement; this skill was both abstract and powerful.

As expected of an SR card, even with no combat power and a body as weak as a sickly person, it still possesses such powerful skills.

It's a pity that you need a partner to learn it.

How can you be a partner to this idiot? Are you going to have sex parties every day?
After Luca left, Jordan called several close business partners into his office and recounted his conversation with Luca to them.

After hearing this, everyone looked incredulous.

They were all swindlers, with an innate ability to keenly detect their peers.

"That guy is a shameless liar."

Donnie, the second-in-command, who was the fat guy who peed earlier, angrily cursed, "Don't believe his nonsense, he's just here to extort money from you."

“But he knew everything about our company’s criminal activities,” Jordan said helplessly. “He not only knew about our money laundering in Switzerland, but he also knew who the bank manager was who helped us launder the money, and even my wife’s aunt knew! I suspect it was Robbie and his crew who leaked it.”

Jordan grew increasingly agitated, "Tell me, do I have a choice now? What am I supposed to do if he tells the FBI?! Huh? What the hell am I supposed to do?! Fine, let's all go down together, all go to jail, but hopefully we can still buy drugs from the guards!"

Everyone looked at each other.

This sounds outrageous. How did that guy know?
Everyone did it very discreetly, and even the FBI couldn't find out.

After thinking for a moment, Donnie asked, "Did he tell us his plan to deal with the FBI? He needs to prove his abilities; we can't just believe everything he says."

500 million is a lot of money, but it's still affordable for most people.

The premise is that the other party can actually take down the FBI.

"Before he left, he told me to keep a close eye on Steve and his company's stock, saying it was a gift for me." Jordan himself looked completely bewildered.

Steve owns a company called "Steve Shoes," which was previously managed and listed on the stock exchange by Jordan and his team.

The listing process was inevitably irregular. They engaged in insider trading of 100 million shares, defrauding customers by driving up the stock price and then letting retail investors take over at a high price, thus completing the asset transfer.

Otherwise, how did they make 2200 million in three hours?

The problem is that although Jordan's company and clients control 85% of the shoe company's shares, the equity is all in Steve's name.

If at this time...
"Does he mean Steve will betray us?" Donnie asked.

"How the hell should I know? But he did give me a heads-up."

Jordan said, flustered, "The FBI is investigating us now. If Steve stabs us in the back at this time, we will suffer heavy losses!"

"Donnie, that bastard Steve is your friend, you fucking have to keep a close eye on him. At this critical juncture, I don't want to hear anything bad about the company! Everyone! You all need to zip your mouths up, not a single piece of shit can escape your lips!"

After saying that, Jordan buried his face in the coffee table, took a deep breath, and his expression became ferocious.

Mama fak!
