Chapter 285 The Salvation Cauldron and the New Dungeon
On the third floor of the lighthouse, a bright, moon-like crucible burst open with dense ice cracks, before the hard magical metal shattered into pieces, turning into dust.

Lin Bo was in no hurry to use it; he still had some matters to attend to.

Today is the day the crucible returns, and also the day the expedition team achieves its goal.

The lighthouse apprentices welcomed their returning companions, and the group chatted and shared their stories.

Lin Bo strolled down the steps and stepped out of the lighthouse.

Just now, everyone saw the crucible stored in the courtyard rise into the air and turn into a stream of light that flew into the third floor, so they knew that the Grand Master had retrieved the strange object.

In the courtyard, the old priest stood before them. After months of separation and traveling thousands of miles, the weariness on his face was like that of summer ivy, and his skin was even darker. Yet, he still smiled broadly and knelt in worship before the miracle walker.

Lin Bo leaned down and pressed on his shoulder without saying a word.

"Miracle, my Lord! The people of the islands have been saved!" The old priest said calmly, giving his answer after a long journey.

Behind him were the lighthouse followers and young recipients from all over the archipelago.

The disciples remained silent, while the young recipients, bewildered, saw the old priest worshipping and quickly prostrated themselves, pressing their foreheads to the soft soil and wild grass.

"What do you need as compensation?" Lin Bo asked softly.

“Miracles, I ask for nothing more. The journey itself is magnificent enough. I have met countless people and saved countless good people. Their lives have been extended under the grace of my Lord. There are many more smiles in the world. I still recall the journey like eating a full fruit.”

The old priest smiled broadly, his eyes reflecting the bright sunlight.

“Since you demanded ‘nothingness,’ then you will receive ‘nothingness,’” Lin Bo replied with a smile.

“But I do have one request,” the old priest blinked. “I wish you would allow me to continue my journey to the farthest reaches of the world to save the people there.”

While the epidemic in the Sail Islands has indeed been eradicated, it does not mean that the whole world has gained peace. In fact, the disease continues to spread across the Bountiful Continent and the New World.

Even though vaccines have been widely distributed, the vaccination efficiency varies greatly from country to country. Racing against the epidemic is a difficult task, and most countries are not doing a good job.

If left unchecked, the virus is more likely to mutate into unknown forms, potentially making it even more difficult to manage.

Lin Bo's solid panacea still retains about half of its potency, enough to produce 20 million bottles of health tonic.

He did not intend to undertake another crucible journey. He chose this method in the Kening Empire to avoid embezzlement and to help the people to the greatest extent possible by avoiding dealing with the nobles and officials of the time, but its actual efficiency was not high.

It took almost half a year to travel all over the Sail Islands, let alone travel around the world.

Lin Bo's original plan was to mass-produce the decoction directly in the pharmaceutical factory and send it to various countries as a form of aid. However, it would most likely become a tool for those in power and businessmen to make money, which was a helpless move.

"I grant your wish." He nodded in agreement. "Go back and rest first."

The old priest bowed again, thanked the four apprentices who had escorted him, and strode away with a smile.

As he walked out of the cape, he saw a young major and a foreign pilgrim waiting by the roadside.

The old priest remembered the man who had tried to attack the spy who had destroyed the cauldron, and who had since worked diligently to atone for his sins.

The spy blocked their path, his voice impatient, "Priest, where's the pot?!"

"It has returned to God's treasury."

"But the epidemic isn't over yet!" The spy stepped forward. "The epidemic... in the Bountiful Continent, in the Republic of Anfeng, in my homeland... there are still many people waiting for medicine!"

"You once considered destroying this cauldron." The old priest tilted his head slightly, meeting the gaze of the sturdy middle-aged man. "You used to disdain miracles. What made you change your mind?"

The major standing nearby answered for him: "Brutal pragmatism. And the despair of recognizing reality."

The old priest was taken aback for a moment, then laughed. "Do you think our Lord of Miracles is prejudiced against people? He believes that those who believe in His Kingdom are saved, while those who do not believe in His Land are plagued by disease. Is that so?"

“…I have never seen him in person,” the agent said, glancing at the pristine white lighthouse so close at hand.

"Then go see him. Go ahead." The old priest smiled, patted the spy on the shoulder, and pushed him deeper into the headland.

The spy kept looking back as he took a step, all alone; his party comrades hadn't followed.

The path through the overgrown weeds wasn't long; it soon came to an end, where a low wall and gate enclosed a small courtyard. There stood a tall tower covered in white plaster, its top tiles were jet black, and a branch-like antenna stood upright, with several proud, white seagulls perched there.

A group of cloaked apprentices stood in the courtyard, surrounding someone.

From afar, the spies heard a language with an exceptionally powerful timbre and a vast vocal range that was beyond human comprehension. The impact of this language upon entering their ears was even greater than the waves that could deflect a ten-thousand-ton ship, and their entire chest and skull resonated with it.

The sound stopped, and everyone in the courtyard suddenly turned to look at the spy outside the door.

He strode in, chest puffed out, saying nothing, staring straight ahead with an air of reckless abandon. The followers of the Lighthouse smiled and made way for him.

The spies were able to see what they were doing there. Several teenagers stood in a row, looking tense and uneasy, as if they were being investigated.

He finally met the lighthouse keeper.

"I'm here to find someone." The spy forced himself to speak, but his words were still incoherent, and his face flushed red. "My seagull mentioned you."

"You can talk to seagulls?" the spy blurted out, his tone curt, his hands clenched into fists and fidgeting nervously before he scurried into his pockets to hide.

The barber then elaborated on the man's background, detailing his true identity as revealed while he was unconscious: he was an intelligence agent for a political party on the Bountiful Continent that had been severely persecuted and targeted.

Lin Bo nodded upon hearing this. He beckoned the spy closer and carefully examined the honest-looking man. He then used the Dragon Language to inquire about the man's character from the Tower Dragon.

The dragons of destiny are extremely adept at seeing into people's hearts. The dragon of the tower recounted some of the facts it had observed to the mage.

"He once swore to turn away from all gods and saviors, he once swore to save the suffering laborers, he once swore to create an ideal kingdom. To this day, some of his thoughts have wavered, but some of his vows remain unchanged."

The spy's voice was hoarse: "Are you talking to me?"

"Do not."

"Who are you with?"

“Fragments of the world’s spirit,” the Night Watchman replied gently.

"Are you kidding?" The spy shook his head in frustration, but then sighed in despair. "No, you're not lying. But how could this be..."

He said dejectedly, like an avalanche, "I want to ask you, I beg you, I plead with you, I desperately hope you can help the people outside the Kening Empire. They really need your medicine."

The spy slightly bent his knees, but immediately stood up straight. After hesitating for a while, he slowly knelt on one knee, then changed to knees touching the ground, his forehead touching the earth, with a few wildflowers blooming in the grass beside his ear.

"I'd like to ask you for a favor," Lin Bo said softly.

The spy suddenly looked up, his forehead covered in mud, which blended seamlessly with his tanned face.

The miracle worker reached out his hands, slipped them under the spy's armpits, lifted him up, chanted a spell to cleanse him of the mud and sweat, and explained his request in detail.

“Hugh Norway will lead the priests of Kening to various places, where they need the help of the locals. I hope your party can help distribute the medicine to the people.”

"I...I...this..."

"Try contacting your leader and ask him to consider my proposal. You may leave now."

The spy walked slowly, distracted, and it took him a long time to return to the entrance of the cape. The young major was waiting for him there.

"You've seen him?"

"Yes. I saw him."

"What did he say?"

"Let our party help distribute the medicine."

"That's great news!" the major clapped his hands. "Our comrades will definitely be thrilled. Hey, what's wrong?"

"I was wondering why I didn't talk to him more."

The spy's spirit seemed to gradually return, turning his head to look at the cape where the lighthouse stood. The place was simple and peaceful in the daylight, yet it seemed to be permeated with a mysterious air, making those who stepped in feel as if they were traveling through a dream. Everything that happened here seemed as distant as a memory.

"I understand. You're wavering too, aren't you?"

"Or perhaps it's seeing the truth. I can't say, really. But why are my veins burning right now? Good comrade, we must contact the leader immediately. This is important, more important than my life. I absolutely must get it done..."

Lin Bo inquired about the personalities and experiences of the young recipients brought by the Tower Dragon's disciples, but then offered no comment. The teenagers watched blankly as the Archmage turned and returned to the tower.

"Alright, don't worry. You can stay in town from now on," the witch said with a smile, waving her hand at them.

The grocer smiled and said, "From now on, this Ms. Carini will be your teacher. Come with me, I need to introduce you to your future accommodations and some new friends."

Lin Bo returned to his study on the second floor and opened the integrated network panel.

"Use reverb."
