Chapter 43 Strong Man

Chapter 43 Strong Man
Feeling something was wrong with his body, Zhang Wenda opened one eye and saw a small black cat with its head and tail intertwined, forming a flat cat pancake that perfectly covered his belly button.

Upon closer inspection, Zhang Wenda realized that this cat seemed to be the same cat from the Children's Palace.

"You still love me the most." Zhang Wenda hugged the cat's head, kissed it, and then lay down on the ground and fell asleep.

To be honest, he didn't sleep very well. The hard floor and the various dreams that kept popping into his mind kept Zhang Wenda tossing and turning, and he was always in a state of half-sleep and half-awake.

It felt like an eternity before Zhang Wenda was jolted awake by the constant trembling sounds.

"Who's renovating so early?" Zhang Wenda, feeling more tired than if he hadn't slept at all, sat up, rubbing his aching head.

He first looked in the direction of Song Jianguo, only to find that there were only the black cats lying around; Song Jianguo was nowhere to be seen.

"Huh? What time is it? I absolutely can't be late." Zhang Wenda turned his head blankly, looking in the direction of the trembling sound.

Immediately afterwards, he saw a burly man pinning Song Jianguo against the wall!
"Holy crap!!" This scene almost instantly made Zhang Wenda's drowsiness disappear without a trace.

Almost instantly, he pulled out a flashlight and slammed the end of it into the red core. With a hiss, a blinding lightsaber shot out.

"Ha!" Zhang Wenda exerted force with both feet and leaped up, landing directly on the burly man, his lightsaber piercing into the man's body.

With a "plop," blood gushed from the wound, instantly staining Zhang Wenda's blue and white school uniform pants red.

"Fuck your mother! Get out of here!" With a tremendous force, Zhang Wenda was thrown out and crashed into the treehouse wall.

Before Zhang Wenda could land, a large, hairy hand slammed down, smashing him against the messy wall.

The intense abdominal pain almost made Zhang Wenda faint. He could feel the sound of bones breaking. In just those few blows, he had broken at least several of his ribs!
The opponent's strength was immense, even greater than his own after being enhanced by the red core. If he hadn't been able to endure pain, he would have fainted from that blow.

Holding the flashlight in reverse, Zhang Wenda swung it forcefully, slicing off the opponent's half-meter-wide fist.

The burly man felt a sharp pain and staggered back several steps, giving Zhang Wenda a chance to catch his breath.

He fell off the wall, knelt on one knee, clutching his throbbing abdomen with one hand, staring intently at the other person.

Meanwhile, the other person was also clutching his severed hand, glaring fiercely at Zhang Wenda, and the atmosphere in the room instantly became extremely tense.

Their breathing became heavy, and just as they roared and lunged at each other, Song Jianguo's sharp cry came from the side.

"This is so annoying! Stop it, everyone!!"

Upon hearing Song Jianguo's words, the two of them stood still, staring in shock at Song Jianguo's grim face.

Song Jianguo pointed at the burly man and explained to Zhang Wenda in an annoyed tone, "Why did you hit him? Did I say he was an enemy?"

"Isn't he an enemy?" Zhang Wenda's eyes widened in surprise.

"She's my aunt!!"

"Huh?!" Zhang Wenda's mouth gaped open, and the flashlight in his hand slipped from his grasp, falling to the ground with a thud. "You said...she's your...what?"

"Damn it, you little brat! Are you deaf? I'm her aunt!" The burly man glared at Zhang Wenda angrily, then turned to pick up his severed hand. It was at this moment that Zhang Wenda noticed that although the burly man looked unshaven and had a robust build, his clothes were clearly feminine; he was wearing a long red skirt, dressed like Sister Hong.

When he realized what the other person was, Zhang Wenda was so surprised that his voice almost became shrill.

"What?! Has Aunt Flo come to life?!"

For the next few minutes, Zhang Wenda listened to Song Jianguo's explanation, but eventually he couldn't stand it anymore and interrupted.

"You mean this thing is your period? It comes for a few days every month and makes you feel uncomfortable?"

Auntie snorted and raised her right hand to deliver an elbow strike to Song Jianguo's abdomen.

"I've asked you so many times! What is it that you don't understand? Are you mentally challenged?"

"No, how could she be your aunt? She...she...her accent doesn't sound like yours at all." Zhang Wenda, unsure of what to say, managed to come up with a reason.

At this moment, Zhang Wenda realized that the other person's hand had been easily taken back without even a scratch, and it really didn't look human.

"Do other people's periods happen like this too?" Zhang Wenda then asked in surprise.

“No, it’s not just me.” Song Jianguo, whose face was pale, gently rubbed his abdomen with one hand. “It’s because of some things that my body has experienced some unexpected changes.”

Suddenly, Zhang Wenda seemed to realize something, and he looked at Song Jianguo in surprise. "So, you stole my special ability back then just to get rid of your period?!"

"What?!" The burly man beside Song Jianguo stared in shock. "Mimi, I've been so good to you, and you don't want to see me again? Fine! I'm leaving!!"

With tears welling up in her eyes, she stood up abruptly, picked up her red handbag from the ground, and stormed off toward the treehouse that had been squeezed out of shape.

Song Jianguo practically lay on his aunt's back, like a refrigerator magnet trying to prevent her from leaving.

"No, no! Auntie, Auntie, don't listen to his nonsense! I don't want to get rid of you! I just want to regain my memories!"

"Memory? Have you lost your memory?"

After finally managing to calm his aunt down, Song Jianguo sat on the ground and said irritably, "Yeah, I not only have amnesia, but I also have a cat ear on my head. I want to regain my memories and get rid of my cat ear!"

"So, you're saying that something happened that caused you to grow cat ears, lose your memory, and have your period become a spirit?"

"Yes." Song Jianguo knew he was in trouble as soon as he said it, and quickly changed his answer.

"No, no, Auntie, don't cry. I don't want to get rid of you. I like you so much. I really wish you would come every day."

Looking at Song Jianguo, who was hugging his period like a giant damsel in distress, Zhang Wenda scratched his head in confusion. "Can periods be personified? Why does that sound so weird?"

While comforting his aunt, Song Jianguo glared at Zhang Wenda with annoyance, "Your adult world is even weirder, okay? You still have the nerve to say I'm weird!"

After learning the whole story, Zhang Wenda turned off the flashlight and said with a sigh of relief, "You should have said so earlier! You made me fight with your aunt. Look at this mess, I'm covered in blood."
