Chapter 21 Level 5 Dark Blue Jade

Locke heard the arguing outside getting more and more heated, so he opened the door.

He saw, in the lower-level corridor below the deck, an adult woman carrying a two-handed greatsword and dressed in swordsman's attire, arguing defiantly with a young wizard on that level.

The woman seemed to be named Angela. Locke sensed that her magical power was slightly weaker than his own, but she was indeed at the level of a third-class wizard apprentice.

From Angela's words, Locke also learned that she only had the aptitude of a level 1 wizard.

That's why Angela felt aggrieved; if the accommodations were allocated according to strength, she should at least live on this floor.

However, the accommodations on the wizard ship are mainly allocated according to future potential and aptitude, rather than current strength.

Inside the corridor, many aspiring wizards opened their doors to see what was happening, drawn by the loud arguing.

Under the watchful eyes of everyone, Angela blushed and became even more furious.

She glared at the apprentices blocking her way. "You're all third-class wizard apprentices, and my mental strength is even stronger than yours. Why can you live here, but I can't?"

At that time, a wizard mentor had already come down, so all the aspiring wizards in the corridor fell silent.

Locke recognized the wizard mentor who came down from outside as Jarvis, the one who had tested them earlier.

Instructor Jarvis looked at Angela coldly, as if she were a roadside stone. "Angela, a third-class wizard apprentice, go back to where you belong. Don't make me repeat myself."

Angela said, "But...this...this is not fair."

"I ask you, how long did it take you to become a third-class wizard apprentice?"

In the corridor, many people gasped in shock.

Because a level 3 wizard typically only needs two to three years to become a third-class wizard apprentice from the start of their studies, while Angela took fifteen years.

Jarvis pointed to a wizarding prospect he had brought in and said, "He only took three and a half years. Most wizarding prospective students at this level take about two to three years to become third-class wizarding apprentices."

“If you dare to cause trouble again, even if you are protected by the Wizard Seed Protection Law, I will make you pay the price.”

Jarvis turned and left.

Angela's pupils dilated and glazed over. "Troublemaker... In your eyes, I'm just a troublemaker..."

“On the continent of Koso, I am a respected prodigy, but on this ship, I am merely a troublemaker with only a level one qualification.” The wizard mentor’s words undoubtedly shattered her beliefs. Angela’s eyes became dejected, and she stiffly walked towards the stairs, preparing to head to the lowest deck.

Locke closed the door; this scene was both expected and unexpected.

Most of the aspiring wizards come from the archipelago. In their respective worlds, they are the chosen ones, but once they arrive on the wizard ship, they find that they are just ordinary people, and may even have a very low status.

When they lose their mental balance, they will naturally act irrationally.

Locke retrieved the level 5 crafting item from the Horadric Cube; it was a dark blue gem the size of an adult's index finger.

"This time the formula is successful." Locke's spirits lifted. During this period, he had been carrying a large number of gems with him and trying out different synthesis formulas according to different types of gems.

This time, the crafting recipe is a level 4 deep blue gem, a level 4 common black agate, and a level 4 common black pearl.

In most cases, these level 4 gem items, when synthesized, will only change in color and size, becoming more of a worldly value, and rarely will they produce special effects like the Deep Blue Gem.

However, this time, the level 5 Dark Blue Jade has a different description: "[Level 5 crafted item, Dark Blue Jade, a rare gem from deep underground mines.
