Chapter 205 Battle Wizard Captain
Inside the Witch's Kitchen, Zack offered Locke a glass of Witch's Watermelon Juice, topped with a fairy mint leaf, which gave it a very refreshing taste, along with some magical ice cubes.

This resulted in very high sales during the peak of summer.

Zack said to Locke, "That's how it is."

"Right now, all the major studios are pulling strings, contacting the captains of the combat teams in the combat departments in advance, and reaching some agreements with those captains with whom they had good relations before."

"Use their entries in advance to increase their studio's chances of winning the competition."

"I will support you fully."

“I’m currently helping you connect with various key figures. Your resources might not be any worse than those of the breeders in those studios. We’re helping each other out.”

Zack said, "After all, the result of this competition will determine a large-scale college procurement contract, much larger than the one you and I signed back then. I took a risk back then to give you the only procurement contract authority I had."

Locke nodded. It turned out that obtaining the college's procurement contract was not as simple as it seemed.

I should thank Manager Yuri for recommending my work to her senior, Zack, when I was able to secure my first batch of college procurement contracts.

Then, I want to thank Zack for taking the risk of signing a bulk purchase contract with me the moment he saw my work.

Locke knew that a person should not assume that he will always succeed just because he has succeeded once, and that all such success is due to his own efforts.

Back then, the fact that my Crystal Palm Fire Lotus was able to sign the academy's bulk procurement contract was due to too many coincidences.

Even Zach, who signed the bulk purchase order with him, took a huge risk.

Zack smiled at Locke and said, "Later I've invited Captain Jack Gray, a combat squad leader I'm on good terms with. He's a senior first-class wizard apprentice, having been a first-class wizard apprentice for 25 years, and he's also a storm master."

"There are many wizards in his team who use plant magic. If you can get him to agree to use your Eye of Perseus lichen on the front lines, I believe it will greatly increase the chances of your work winning an award."

Zack respectfully asked, "Locke, is everything alright?"

Their specialty is killing dark wizards. Zack pointed to the transparent window of the witch's kitchen and said, "Locke, Captain Jack is here."

Locke turned to look out the window and saw a middle-aged wizard with a buzz cut walking towards him. He had a serious face, a scar on his face, and his left eye was blind, so it was replaced with an alchemist's creation, the Magic Eye.

Locke also saw on the Mystic Eye the wizard's seed of his old acquaintance, the Ouroboros Ring, and the mark of the alchemist's assistant, Tyne, proving that the Mystic Eye was his creation.

Captain Jack's left eye socket was still spinning, as if he was still watching his surroundings even inside Lilith's cabin, preventing any sudden attack from enemies.

He exuded a fierce aura, yet his square face ironically made him appear righteous.

Jack Gray wore a wizard's robe, typical of storm wizards, with storm patterns along the edges. Beneath the robe lay his muscular, strong physique.

Captain Jack walked in through the door, his superhuman eyes immediately locking onto Zack and Locke's location, and he approached them. "Sorry, Zack, I'm late."

"We recently caught another damned dark wizard spy."

"I personally ripped out the heart of that filthy vampire who claimed to be immortal and electrocuted him. Ah, I'm going to have to spend money on you again today. Zack, you're really rich. I usually can't bear to eat the food from the Witch's Kitchen."

Captain Jack casually sat down next to Zack on the sofa. "And who is this?"

Zack laughed. "Captain Jack, this is Locke Augustine, whom I've mentioned to you before. He's the genius breeder I always talk about."

"Do you remember the Crystal Palm Fire Lotus? Your team used it when they were on bombing missions. That was the work of breeder Locke."

Captain Jack looked at Locke in surprise, and a hint of seriousness appeared in his remaining right eye. "So it was you. I didn't expect the developer of the Crystal Palm Fire Lotus to be so young. That batch of magical plants was very hardcore. I thought it was made by an experienced professional breeder."

Captain Jack smiled and extended his hand to Locke. "A good magical plant is one that can kill dark wizards. Let's be friends. I'm Jack Gray, the captain of the Dark Wizard Hunting Squad 173."

Locke nodded slightly to him, extended his hand, and shook hands with him.

The moment their hands touched, Jack Gray's darting eyes suddenly turned bright red and began to flash, seemingly as a warning, and then began to spin even more violently.

Jack Gray quickly pulled his hand back and pressed it against his left eye. A powerful magical energy burst forth from his magic eye, almost surging out from between the fingers of Jack Gray's hand covering his eyeball.

"Damn it, the product that Tyne sold me is useful, but it has way too many bugs! This isn't a battlefield, this isn't the enemy, cancel the attack now!"

Zack was startled, but Captain Jack managed to control his impending attack with his magic eye and apologized to Locke, saying, "Ah, my magic eye was probably damaged by a dark wizard on the battlefield. It feels a bit unreliable. Sorry, Augustine the Breeder."

“I think I should still ask Tyne to fix it for me. This thing is still under warranty. When he sold it to me, he made it sound so good, and I actually believed him. It turns out it doesn’t work at all.”

“Augustine, the breeder, you seem to have the aura of a dark wizard about you.” Captain Jack’s magic eye and right eyeball both stared at Locke. “My magic eye sensed the aura of a dark wizard on you, that’s why it reacted.”

Zack blinked, looked at Locke, then at Captain Jack, and quickly said, "I'd better order quickly."
