Chapter 406 Zaraki Sword 8
Chapter 406: Kenpachi Zaraki
Renji and his group fought quite easily.
The three were already among the most talented in their class, and with Luca's guidance during their holidays over the past few years, they easily achieved the top three positions in this final assessment.
However, to Luca's surprise, the ultimate winner among the three was not Kira Izuru, whose winning rate in practice was close to 80%, but rather Abarai Renji, who fought bravely and relentlessly.
In fact, because Kira was quite proficient in Kido, his fighting style was quite similar to Luca's under Luca's guidance.
His skill in pulling a kite with one hand allowed him to bully Renji, a 'kendo prodigy,' to no avail.
However, ever since Rukia was adopted by the Kuchiki family, Renji has always harbored a strong desire to improve, and he has become increasingly ruthless towards himself during training.
It's probably because Byakuya Kuchiki was there that Renji managed to snatch the championship from Kira today.
Fortunately, Byakuya Kuchiki has now officially taken over as the captain of the Sixth Division.
If he takes him as his role model, Renji probably won't have the courage to face his feelings for Rukia for a long time.
“They’re all very good young men, aren’t they? Luca, the third seat.”
Aizen Sousuke, who had somehow appeared beside Luca, praised him without any airs.
However, Luca simply shook his head reservedly.
"Captain Aizen is joking. Renji and I are in the same year. Saying we're young people is just too awkward."
Before he was strong enough to protect himself under Aizen's command, Luca would subconsciously want to keep his distance from him. Even when they met in the past, he would unconsciously be more wary of Aizen in his words.
However, before Luca could even figure out what excuse to use to get away from Aizen's 'flirting',
"boom--"
A loud bang suddenly came from the other side.
Everyone looked in the direction of the sound and saw Kenpachi Zaraki, the captain of the 11th Division, casually brushing the dust off his clothes as he walked out from the collapsed and shattered wall.
On his shoulder, the pink-haired Yachiru Kusanagi was excitedly patting Kenpachi's ferocious face.
"Little Sword, Little Sword~ See, I told you it was over here~"
Well, there's no need to ask any more questions now. Everyone immediately understood why Kenpachi Zaraki was late, and why he had to crash through the wall to get there.
After crashing into the wall, the two showed no embarrassment whatsoever and swaggered towards the group of captains.
He acted as if to say, "You're making a fuss over nothing, I'm perfectly normal."
However, when they passed by Luca, Kenpachi and Yachiru had completely different attitudes.
When Kenpachi Zaraki saw Luca, he simply snorted and turned his head away.
Meanwhile, Kusajishi Yachiru excitedly leaped off Kenpachi's shoulder and landed on top of Luca's head.
"Little glasses~ Snacks, snacks~"
Yachiru excitedly hugged Luca's head, shaking it and shouting.
The Zanpakuto, which was almost as tall as her, was casually slung over her shoulder, and its wobbling caused Luca's head to thud loudly. However, Luca wasn't annoyed by this; instead, he actually took out a small bag of pre-prepared cookies from his pocket and handed it to her.
Upon seeing this, Yachiru immediately took the bag with a beaming smile, then tore open the bag, tilted her little head back, and swallowed all the cookies inside in one gulp.
His mouth bulged out like a hamster's, yet he kept munching away, making Luca's head covered in flying cookie crumbs.
Amidst the envious gazes of Ise Nanao and the others, he somewhat reluctantly lifted Yachiru off his head.
Luca first shook the cookie crumbs off his hair before speaking to the pink-haired girl.
"Yachiru, shouldn't you give Haro back to me?"
Upon hearing this, Kusajishi Yachiru, who had just been smacking her lips, immediately rolled her eyes and pretended not to know anything as she looked up at the sky.
However, the occasional glances she gave Kenpachi Zaraki had already given Luca a clue as to where the other man was hiding his Haro.
In fact, several years ago, Luca had already used his mastery of spirit technology to create a brand new Haro that was unique to the Soul Society version.
After all, it was the auxiliary robot he was most familiar with, and making it sooner would make it easier for him to assist in his research.
However, since the handmade production process is quite complicated, Luca was too lazy to set up any more Haro production lines.
Therefore, in Soul Society, Luca only created a portable dock to facilitate Haro's connection to other devices within the Technology Development Bureau, and did not continue to manufacture more, such as the overly complex Haro cluster computing devices found on Earth.
Unexpectedly, this pink-haired girl, Yachiru, has taken a liking to her own Haro machine at some point. She would sneak into the 12th Division from time to time and take the Haro that wasn't working back to her own barracks to "raise" it for a few days.
Turning to look at Kenpachi Zaraki on the other side, Luca originally wanted to say, 'This has been exposed, why don't you give it back to me?'
Who would have thought that Kenpachi, the roughneck who always disliked himself, would actually look up at the sky like Kusajishi Yachiru, pretending to be stupid.
Left with no other choice, Luca could only sigh and offer his assurance.
"I need to use the Haro for a research project these next few days, Captain Kenpachi, please return it to me first. I'll make a new Haro for Yachiru later."
"Choose your own color!"
Upon hearing this, the two clowns of the Eleventh Division finally stopped pretending to be stupid.
Kusajishi Yachiru leaped onto Kenpachi Zaraki's shoulder in a few quick steps, pulled out the small, blue-black Haro from the 'fourth-dimensional space' behind his neck, and handed it to Luca.
"Little glasses, I want the pink ones~"
Seeing that he could finally escape the clutches of evil, the somewhat introverted blue-black Haro quickly hopped and hid behind Luca.
Luca glanced at Kenpachi Zaraki, who hadn't spoken to him at all, and could only shrug helplessly in the end.
In fact, there was no real conflict between Luca and Kenpachi Zaraki.
However, Luca was already quite famous before, with titles like "a once-in-a-millennium genius" and "defeated a captain-level powerhouse head-on before graduating," which were quite impressive.
Not long after he graduated, he happened to hear about the legendary Kenpachi Zaraki from one of his subordinates, and immediately came to him with his sword, wanting to have a good fight with him.
It's just a pity... Luca's fighting style...
