Chapter 307 The Sacred Order of Justice: The Current "Loophole"

After all, given their strength, it was already quite fortunate that they weren't tasted by other, more powerful divine beings in the past.

Furthermore, "mortal beings" absolutely lack true higher intelligence.

They are mostly driven by primal instincts, possessing only a faint spirituality and vitality, living in a daze, in a hazy, indistinct state.

Therefore, in God's eyes, humanity is so special.

They are merely humble mortals, with shallow souls and incredibly fragile life force.

Yet, it possesses true wisdom.

Even so, many of the Olympian gods, who were too high and mighty, were unwilling to lower their gaze.

However, it is difficult for the various divine beings living on the earth not to notice this newly emerging mortal intelligent life.

However, the commotion caused by the birth of humankind was so immense that it was subsequently protected by numerous powerful deities.

These "little karami" didn't dare to even look at us.

Whether it was good intentions, malice, or simply curiosity, they could only suppress all their thoughts deep in their hearts.

But it is different now.

Hey, humanity is out of divine protection now!
They've returned to their proper ecological niche!
These interesting little things are so worth getting to know!

Although humans possess intelligence, their bodies are truly too weak; their strength is truly too insignificant.

Wisdom is certainly valuable.

But wisdom alone is absolutely not enough.

No matter how wise one is, it is utterly powerless in the face of an absolute power disparity.

Gods and mortals are absolutely different, with an absolute essential gap.

Under the sacred and just order of His Majesty the God-King, divine life can feed on mortal life.

Because the very meaning of the existence of mortal spirits is to exist for the sake of the gods.

As beings derived from the divinity and power of the gods, they naturally surpass mortals.

The divine and just order of the God-King, the Twelve Sacred Laws, forbids gods from waging war against each other at will, nor allows gods to destroy the world at will.

However, the management of lower-level divine beings, or even those with relatively low intelligence, is more relaxed.

After all, we can't just deprive people of food and drink.

They were not entitled to enjoy the divine wine and delicacies of Olympus, so it was only natural for them to eat some mortal food.

As long as it's not random destruction, indiscriminate killing, or any form of extermination.

If it's just about having enough to eat and drink, then it doesn't constitute violating His Majesty the God-King's sacred and just order.

Previously, such regulations were perfectly acceptable.

However, there is currently a significant vulnerability here.

This only came about after the emergence of humankind.

That is, the current order does not distinguish between "higher intelligent life" and "lower intelligent life".

The only distinction that order makes is between "divine life" and "mortal life".

Thirdly, many of those lower-level divine beings born merely from the influence of divine power do not possess true "higher intelligence." And among divine beings, those who truly possess higher intelligence are often not to be trifled with.

However, the emergence of humans perfectly filled this "niche" gap.

True wisdom, like light, attracts attention.

Since humans can attract the attention of many great gods on Olympus, they can naturally attract the attention of the "minor gods" and "monsters" living in the mortal world.

The brilliant light of "wisdom" is invisible to ordinary mortals, but it is so clear and dazzling in the eyes of divine beings, and even... so "fragrant".

Especially for those divine beings who lack wisdom, the brilliant and precious "wisdom" is full of endless attraction.

It was an instinctive, genuine, and immense temptation to devour it whole and possess it!

Divine beings do not necessarily possess higher intelligence.

Divine life is not necessarily God.

These mainly consist of the gods of the celestial and night god systems, as well as their direct lineage deities within three generations.

In the eyes of the Olympian gods, only those beings who possess the three elements of "law authority," "profound divinity," and "higher wisdom" can be considered true "gods" and truly be considered their "kin."

These belong to the lofty "True Gods of Law".

They are the true rulers of the universe. Below them are the nymphs who serve the gods, the powerful elemental deities, and the descendants of gods from the third generation onwards.

They possess profound divinity, high wisdom, and formidable power, and are capable of transforming into perfect divine forms.

In the eyes of other life forms in the universe, such an existence is undoubtedly already a supreme "god".

The Olympian gods wouldn't mind being called gods.

After all, apart from not having the core laws to govern, being unable to truly be immortal, and having power, divinity, and authority far inferior to the gods, they are otherwise no different from the true gods.

Moreover, they are either related by blood or by marriage, or they were created by the gods, or they are direct derivatives of the gods' own bloodline or laws and authority.

They are qualified to live in heaven and Olympus, and are considered (servants) of the true God of the law.

Of course, the word "servant" is just something people talk about privately, but they understand what it means.

If you were to shout that out in front of any deity or nymph... that would be a death sentence.

Although their overall conditions are far inferior to those of the Olympian gods, if the Olympian gods are excluded, they are still formidable fighters!

Further down are some low-level nature fairies, low-level elemental spirits, or beings with weak divine bloodlines and shallow divinity, but whose birth is still inextricably linked to the gods and contains divine qualities.

Such beings, as long as they possess advanced intelligence and can transform into divine form, are also considered "gods" in the eyes of mortals.

After all, in the mind of an ant, there is really no essential difference between facing a three-year-old child and an adult piloting a Gundam.

In any case, they are all terrifying beings that can be crushed to death with a single finger.

However, in the eyes of a true "god," such an existence can only be considered a divine life form, not a true god.

Further down are those simple and uncontroversial divine beings.

Such an existence can hardly be called a "god".

Even mortals would not call them gods.

Of course, this excludes those mortals who are too ignorant and foolish, or those who pursue and believe out of fear or self-interest.

Most of them were contemptuously referred to as "gods and monsters".

Many divine beings were born simply because of some unintentional actions by certain deities.

These divine beings typically have unusual, diverse, and unique forms.

Without special blessings from the gods, their wisdom is often not high.

At the very least, they cannot be compared to truly intelligent life.

Many others are extremely unintelligent, acting entirely on their most primitive instincts.

Such beings are generally considered to have low intelligence because their divinity is not strong enough compared to their massive bodies.

It is a congenital defect.

And then there are the unlucky ones.

Having been so severely eroded and corrupted by the divine laws of a certain great god, their insignificant spirituality was simply unable to withstand the overwhelming "Dao," and instead was "swept" into folly.

Spiritual wisdom was washed away and scattered, leaving only a muddled body dominated by divine instinct.

Simply put, anything of low intelligence or unable to take on divine form is a deity or monster.

Regardless of their origins, they can only be considered gods and monsters.

Such people are only fit to live on Earth or in the cosmos, that is, in the mortal realm. They are not worthy of entering Heaven, let alone Paradise.

In the realm of gods, there is also an unspoken rule: those who lack wisdom are forbidden from taking on divine form.

Otherwise, it would be "usurpation" and "blasphemy"!
If seen by a true deity, it will basically be purified and disposed of on the spot.

Of course, under normal circumstances, those who lack wisdom are simply unable to transform into divine form.

Even if someone is intelligent, if they cannot transform into a divine form, or at least cannot transform most of their body into a divine form, they are still a god or monster.

There are many reasons why it's not possible.

It may be because their physical bodies are too powerful, or because they are too deeply influenced by the divine laws, while their own power is insufficient, or their understanding of the laws is not enough to support them in completing the creation and transformation of divine form.

Of course, there are also some special beings of noble birth, with extremely strong divinity and power.

However, because their life essence at the beginning of their birth, the divine laws that gave rise to them were too close to the primordial laws such as "chaos," "disorder," and "destruction."

This leads to their spirituality being easily dominated by instinctual laws, making them very prone to acting on instinct.

This kind of being can also be considered a "god".

However, they were not recognized by the Olympian gods.

Although these gods possess true wisdom, they generally disdain to use it and are too lazy to transform into divine form.

They have always preferred their own being, which contains the "truth of existence," and like to act according to their nature, doing all sorts of things that conform to the chaotic divine laws that led to their birth.

Simply put, this kind of god, although "certified" (is a god), does not actually do any divine things.

The gods often find this rather troublesome.

However, as long as they do not disrupt His Majesty the God-King's sacred and just order, the gods are too lazy to care about them; their existence is legitimate and necessary.

However, this kind of person is definitely not popular and tends to be a loner.

Even within the social circles of "minor gods" and fairies.

Beings that lack higher intelligence, cannot control their own spirituality, and cannot transform into divine form, even if they possess great power and even if they have noble bloodlines, will not be considered among our own.

They would still contemptuously call them "monsters" and wouldn't play with them.

Therefore, the class division of "divine life" mainly depends on: first, whether it has "divinity"; second, whether it has "higher intelligence"; and third, if it can transform into "divine form", then it is a true "divine and intelligent being" recognized by the pantheon.

Of course, whether daily habits become part of one's spirit or not, or only part of them, is another matter.

However, whether you can do it or not is another matter.

Some of these entities lean towards justice and order, but many more lean towards brutality and chaos.

Below "divine life" are "mortal spirits".

This is the absolute, essential difference.

No matter how many levels are defined for mortal spirits, they are completely unimportant to God and divine life.

Mortal spirits are just mortal spirits.

Even if you put it bluntly, it's still just a mortal spirit.

Mortal beings exist for the sake of God.
