Chapter 19 Ocean Currents

Holy Rhea nodded in agreement: "You're right."

"But how can you win over other great gods to help you? Rebelling against the God-King is a dead end; even neutrality is tantamount to betrayal."

"The gods fear the invincible God-King, how can you achieve that?"

Zeus smiled slightly and replied, "The gods fear the Father only because the Father still possesses unparalleled power."

"Once they discover that the Father God does not possess overwhelming absolute power, then too many great gods who are dissatisfied with the Father God will no longer obey him."

Zeus said slowly, "Rule by pure violence will collapse instantly once absolute violence is lost."

"And as long as there are enough powerful figures standing with us, those neutral powerful figures will gradually lean towards us."

“I have no intention of harming or humiliating any of the gods. I will guarantee the honor of all the gods (this honor is a general term for status, authority, and reputation, and will be the same in the following text). I also guarantee that those gods who are not currently honored by the Father will have their honor in the new era.”

"The gods who now possess their own honor, I also assure them that in the new era, they will retain their honor without the slightest loss; and their children, in the new era, will also possess their own honor."

The mother goddess Rhea nodded repeatedly, and the worry in the goddess's expression dissipated considerably. Zeus's words gave her hope.

The once great and invincible Father Uranus was still overthrown by the united gods. Even though Cronus was powerful, he could not fight against the gods by himself.

The difficulty lies in how to unite all the gods.

Zeus's words greatly surprised Rhea. After thinking about it carefully, she realized that they made sense.

For a child to say he wants to rebel against the God-King who rules the universe and then ask the Mother of All Things for her support is simply too far-fetched.

Only if this child does something that the gods cannot do, and tears away the invincible facade of the God-King, will it be possible for the Mother of All Things to overturn the table with the God-King.

Zeus continued, "Mother Goddess, please tell me about the recent events; I need to know more."

Rhea nodded, extended a fair and delicate index finger and touched Zeus's brow, instantly transmitting to Zeus everything she knew recently.

He looked closely and saw that since Rhea's last visit, the entire universe had been quite peaceful, with nothing unusual happening except that a few more children had appeared among the Titans.

Zeus nodded and said, "Nothing much has happened in the world recently. The most important first step now is to make a name for ourselves."

"Weaken the power of the Father God and gain fame by stepping on the name of the Father God."

Rhea asked, "How can I do that?"

Zeus said solemnly, "My authority can weaken the Father God, but only if the Father God does not resist. Mother Goddess, your authority is the flow and vitality within the world. Can you make the Father God lose his vitality and movement?" Rhea shook her head, her tone tinged with helplessness, "The King of Gods is too strong. I cannot do it. Even if we add the holy Thea and the luminous Phoebe, we still cannot make the King of Gods do nothing."

Zeus nodded as expected and smiled, "Then it seems we can only seek the help of a wise man first."

Rhea looked slightly surprised and asked, "Who is it?"

"Metis, daughter of Oceanus and Thetis, who nourishes the world," Zeus said slowly, a strange ripple flashing in the depths of his golden eyes as he mentioned the name.

Rhea nodded gently: "So it's her. I heard that Oceanus's daughter is quite intelligent and is also very much loved by Oceanus and Thetis."

The Mother Goddess frowned slightly and asked in return, "But does she really have the courage and ability to get involved in this? She's just a tiny sea nymph; what can she possibly do to help?"

Zeus raised an eyebrow and smiled, saying softly, "Courage is the beginning of success, while wisdom is the guarantee of success."

After saying this, Zeus's brows furrowed, and his tone became firm: "Mother Goddess, please rest assured, just focus on keeping Father God in check. Leave everything else to me. Please wait for my news."

The illustrious Rhea nodded solemnly, and finally stroked Zeus's cheek: "My child, do not rush, but be careful."

Zeus nodded emphatically, and the Queen of the Gods forced a smile, no longer bringing up such a heavy topic. She chatted with Zeus about some interesting things that happened in the universe, and finally, after a long time, she reluctantly left.

Zeus watched Rhea's departing figure, his expression growing increasingly serious. He then headed straight for the ocean currents beyond the world, determined that from this moment on, no mistake was allowed in any step.

To confront a god-king who has held absolute power for countless years is not just a matter of nine deaths and one life, but a matter of fighting for survival against all odds.

All of this success was made possible by the help of this goddess.

Metis, the goddess of wisdom.

Oceanus, the god of ocean currents and the chief of the Titans, who circled the world, and Thetis, the goddess who nourished all things, had so many children that they themselves could not count them.

But they have conceived and nurtured very few children with their own care. They cherish every law that they have conceived and nurtured with their own care.

And they dared not put it into the world, after all, the current god-king Cronus was someone who could even devour his own child.
