Greece: I am Zeus!

Chapter 187 Zeus's Right to Be a Guest

Chapter 187 Zeus's Right to Be a Guest
“All living beings who have followed my divine laws and contributed to the prosperity of the universe, and all living beings who are pure and clean, may ascend to the Kingdom of Heaven.”

"All beings who have made outstanding contributions to the universe and fought for the survival of all living beings may enter my 'Paradise' and enjoy eternal happiness and glory."

"I am the ruler of the sky, the king of all gods, the god above gods! I am also the lord of the divine realm, the king of the heavens, the god of paradise! I will protect all gods and spirits who follow the sacred and just order, and bestow upon all who deserve it endless happiness and glory! This is the eternal and sacred covenant I have made with you!"

Styx was the first to step forward, shouting, "Your Majesty is virtuous and wise! Praise be to His Majesty Zeus, the all-good, loving, just, and faithful king!"

Themis, Mnemosyne, Hera, Metis, and many other goddesses who were closest to the god-king also immediately echoed his sentiments.

Now that a precedent had been set, the gods in the hall quickly joined in, shouting in unison, "Your Majesty is benevolent and wise! Praise be to His Majesty Zeus, the all-good, loving, just, and faithful king!"

Zeus nodded slightly, signaling the gods to be quiet, and then said, "I am overjoyed and gratified that the gods have set aside everything and gone through all hardships to come and celebrate with me. Today, all the gods are my honored guests."

“The gods treat me with respect, and I will surely repay them with grace.”

A gentle smile appeared on the majestic face of the God-King.

He slightly swung the thunder scepter in his hand and said in a slow yet incredibly resonant voice: "Today is a celebration for the entire universe! I hereby bestow upon all the gods present today, regardless of their rank, a jar of divine wine and a plate of celestial delicacies!"

"Your Majesty is wise!" the gods cried out once more, their voices of gratitude ringing out.

This time, they shouted the loudest and most sincerely.

Zeus raised his hand to stop the gods' cheers, and then said, "The relationship between living beings should be based on trust and benevolence. Mutual respect and assistance are essential for peace and tranquility. Every living being, whether facing familiar friends or strangers, should prioritize kindness."

"I do not wish for cunning and untrustworthy people to appear in this world, nor do I wish for all living beings to be wary of and kill each other. This is absolutely not what I desire, nor is it the way for the prosperity of the universe."

"Today, the gods come to pay homage to me, which is an honor to me. I will surely repay the gods with grace. And all the spirits in the universe should gather together on this sacred day as an eternal model."

"In the name of Zeus, the ruler of the universe, king of the gods, father of all spirits, I hereby declare: From this day forward, whenever a guest arrives, whether familiar or unfamiliar, the host shall have the obligation to warmly welcome the guest who has traveled from afar, to provide them with food, lodging, bathing, and gifts, and shall not inquire about the guest's origin or purpose, much less harm or plunder the guest!"

"Guests, as the recipients of hospitality, also have an obligation to respect the host's home and customs, and not to cause trouble or harm to the host, nor to be greedy, fraudulent, or to harm the host or their relatives and friends. Upon departure, they should express their gratitude and, if necessary, reciprocate with equal goodwill."

"From this day forward, I shall be the sacred protector of all guests! This is my right to be a guest—the right of Zeus! Any one who disobeys this right will be severely punished by my divine and righteous thunder!"

The gods once again agreed, this time with genuine conviction.

Under the holy and righteous decree of the God-King, the entire universe was reborn.

In this new era, under a new order of justice, all civilizations will never again become the pathetic dark forest of mutual suspicion and destruction.

The God-King is truly a benevolent and compassionate god!

It is only natural for everyone to come and pay homage to the God-King.

But His Majesty the God-King, because of this, extended his own feelings to all living beings and established this sacred and benevolent law.

The God-King is truly great!

Zeus then turned his gaze to the three special goddesses behind Gaia, who looked rather cautious and reserved—the Furies (Erinyae).

These three are the first drops of blood shed by the spiritual sovereign, and also the largest source of spiritual blood.

They were also the only beings with the authority to enforce the laws during Uranus's last three lives.

They are the embodiment of hatred and loathing, the embodiment of the God of the past, amidst endless negative emotions.

This also resulted in the fact that the image of these three goddesses was not the conventional kind of beauty; the aura they exuded was quite sinister and cold.

They were three goddesses who still possessed charm and the appearance of newlyweds, and whose faces were beautiful.

However, his eyes were blood red, filled with an inextinguishable, chilling hatred.

Their teeth were sharp, with two fangs even protruding slightly from their lips. Behind them grew a pair of ferocious black wings, similar to those of bats and covered with fascia. Even now, folded behind them, they still exuded an ominous aura.

Especially their hair, which was made of countless venomous snakes of various colors, such as blue, green, black, and red, intertwined and coiled together.

Normally, these venomous snakes would rise and fall, hissing menacingly as they flick their forked tongues. But in this sacred and solemn occasion, these snakes that resemble hair were behaving remarkably well.

They were all pretending to be dead, with their eyes closed, tongues retracted, and mouths tightly shut.

Normally, they would also carry burning torches, whips woven from venomous snakes, and blood-dripping swords as weapons.

Of course, during this sacred pantheon, none of the gods carried any weapons; they were naturally empty-handed.

Zeus thought rather presumptuously: "My foolish little brother might like their type."

Although these three goddesses are of noble birth and extremely powerful, to be honest, there is currently no place for their honors in the universe.

After all, ever since Uranus ascended to heaven, the primordial Titans, as the new ruling group of the universe, have been extremely disgusted by these three incarnations of Uranus's hatred.

If it weren't for their mother Gaia protecting them, their lives would probably be very difficult.

At this moment, the three goddesses stood rather reservedly behind the mother goddess Gaia, trying their best to conceal their aura, afraid of being noticed by the great gods who held high positions in the divine realm, keeping an extremely low profile.

If it weren't for the fact that this audience with the God-King is the most important and significant event in the universe, they truly wouldn't want to show their faces at all.

And now, Zeus, the king of the gods, was actually looking directly at them.

They all lowered their heads in unison, screaming in their hearts: You can't see me! You can't see me! You can't be seeing me!

"Erynyes, come forward." However, Zeus's words shattered their hopes.

Upon hearing this, the three goddesses Alecto, Megara, and Tissiphonne were immediately filled with extreme unease.

They had no idea why the great god-king would suddenly summon them, and they were secretly groaning in their hearts.

However, they dared not disobey in the slightest. They could only quickly step out from behind Gaia, come to the temple, and bow deeply to the God-King: "Alekto (Magera) (Tisiphonne), pay homage to the supreme, holy and great God-King."

Zeus, with a gentle smile, slowly said, "Erynyes, you are remnants of the old order."

These words made the three poor goddesses tremble, but before they could react, Zeus continued, "However, you have not defied my order."

"You are also deities born of the spiritual sovereign and the great Mother Goddess of all things, and you also possess incomparably noble bloodlines. My new sacred and righteous order welcomes you to join."

"Are you willing to obey my will? To accept my gifts?"

Upon hearing this, the three vengeful goddesses were first taken aback, and then their endless unease instantly turned into ecstasy!

So this is how we integrate into the new order?! What a stroke of good luck!

Without hesitation, they immediately knelt on one knee and shouted in unison with the most impassioned voices from the depths of their divinity: "Great God-King! Thank you for your grace! We are more than willing to obey your will and vow to uphold your sacred and just order to the death! You and the great Mother Goddess can bear witness to this!"

Zeus smiled and nodded, saying slowly, "Rise. In my sacred and just order, the gods do not need to kneel arbitrarily."

"Thank you for your generosity and magnanimity!" Upon hearing this, the three vengeful goddesses slowly rose, but still bowed deeply, not daring to stand upright.

Zeus surveyed the gods and then declared majestically, "Those who advocate and practice my sacred and just order will be generously rewarded; but those who defy and destroy it will be severely punished!"

"Rewarding merit and punishing demerit is the proper way to conduct oneself."

“I know that the gods are born from various causes and are all different. They each have their own nature. Forcing the gods to go against their nature is not the right way, nor is it my order.”

"However, if one acts arbitrarily, it is by no means beneficial to all beings in the universe or to the gods themselves."

"The sublimity of divinity should originate from one's nature, then be controlled by one's nature, and finally transcend one's nature."

"The sublimity of divinity should stem from 'restraint'. God should be controlled by the 'id', not the other way around, by 'nature', allowing those primal impulses and desires to completely dominate the self. If that happens, it will be chaos and disorder."

"And 'disorder' is the greatest destruction of my order, and also the greatest destruction of the entire universe. If all the gods act arbitrarily, in the end, all existence will be swallowed up by the ultimate chaos and nothingness of disorder."
