Greece: I am Zeus!

Chapter 160 My Love, Please Look into My Heart

Chapter 160 My Love, Please Look into My Heart

Just as Zeus was fretting about how to appease his beloved goddesses, Metis had already composed herself and came to find Zeus.

A ray of light, imbued with the aura of wisdom, quietly descended before Zeus's temple.

Zeus looked up and immediately felt a little guilty.

He thought Metis had come to interrogate him, and his mind was racing, trying to figure out what sweet words he could use to ease the goddess's distress.

However, to his surprise, Metis threw herself into his arms as soon as she saw him.

Zeus instinctively embraced the goddess tightly, slightly taken aback.

Then he saw the wise goddess, who was simply holding him tightly in her arms in silence.

There was no commotion, no crying, just a quiet embrace.

After a long while, the goddess of wisdom slowly raised her head. Her eyes were red, but she did not let the tears fall.

Even though she could clearly see the extra patch of black on her lover's forehead that didn't belong to her, it still pained her deeply.

The emotions of jealousy, resentment, and even hatred were like countless invisible poisonous insects, frantically gnawing at her soul.

She spoke in an extremely gentle voice, saying, "My love, although I am currently experiencing immense pain in my heart, I do not want to cause you any trouble, nor do I want you to feel embarrassed because of it."

"My love, you are so great and radiant. I am attracted to you and have fallen deeply in love with you. So it is only natural that other goddesses, like me, are attracted to you and fall deeply in love with you as well."

"If there are no other goddesses who love you so much that they can't help themselves, then that would prove that my choice was wrong."

“I also know that you are the embodiment of the sky, the Father of all gods and spirits, and that you are so merciful and soft-hearted.”

"When other goddesses take the initiative to embrace you, how can you bear to watch them suffer and go crazy for you?"

"My dearest love, so I don't blame you. I don't blame them either. Because I love you."

The goddess of wisdom, in the end, could not completely hold back, and the crystal tears belonging to the daughter of the ocean finally slid down her cheeks.

She gently stroked Zeus's heroic face and said in a soft voice filled with holy radiance, "I am fortunate to have your love; this is my good fortune. But there are many more unfortunate goddesses."

"I can understand the pain of loving you deeply but not being able to have you completely. Just like I can't even imagine what the apocalypse would be like if I completely lost you."

"So, my love, my Zeus. I don't blame you, nor do I blame them."

"Even though my heart is in so much pain. Because no goddess can truly open her heart to share her true love with other goddesses."

"But I'm willing to do it for you, and for them too."

Driven mad by love, Wisdom used all her strength to hold Zeus tightly, pleading, "My love, I only ask one thing of you: never, ever, ever abandon me. I would rather share you with other goddesses than lose you completely."

Zeus, who had been quietly listening to the words of his beloved goddess, was deeply moved.

He could feel with perfect clarity the unconditional and pure love that Metis had for him, and the fear of losing that lay hidden beneath that love.

Therefore, this wise goddess would rather deeply humiliate herself than let Zeus feel even the slightest displeasure.

She worried that the other goddesses would completely steal Zeus away; yet she genuinely didn't want to put Zeus in a difficult position because of it.

In love, the one who loves more deeply will always be more humble.

Even the greatest wisdom is no exception.

The noble goddess of wisdom has been humbled to the dust.

Zeus held Metis tightly in his arms, no longer in the mood for sweet talk.

When faced with a goddess who loves him so deeply, and is even willing to tear his heart to pieces for her, how could he still utter those frivolous sweet words?
Zeus gently stroked the soft, purple hair of his beloved goddess and whispered with unwavering conviction, "My Metis, my beloved silly goddess."

“I, Zeus, hereby make an eternal and supreme vow to you: I will never, ever leave you. For your love is the most sacred treasure that I can never give up.”

With that, Zeus gently released Metis, who was silently weeping.

He suddenly ripped open his clothes, then raised his hand, and the scepter symbolizing the supreme god-king's authority on the temple table instantly fell into his palm, transforming into a golden, sharp dagger.

Without hesitation, he cleanly and decisively ripped open his chest, revealing his sacred heart beating slowly yet powerfully. In that divine radiance composed of a myriad of colorful rays, his deep and unwavering love for Metis was laid bare.

“My love, please don’t worry anymore. You never need to act so humble in front of me, it only causes me so much pain and sorrow.”

"What I love is the bright and radiant, confident and wise you, so I don't need you to destroy your noble self."

"Please take a good look. You will always be in my heart. My love for you is steadfast and radiant."

Zeus's actions were so swift and decisive that Metis, lost in her grief, had no time to react.

She was utterly horrified by the resolute yet tragic scene before her. Through the open chest, she could clearly see that within Zeus's surging divine essence lay a clear and undisguised love for her.

Although this love is not unique, and there are several other equally passionate feelings mixed in, that is enough.

Zeus had done enough for her.

At this moment, she felt both indescribable gratitude and heart-wrenching pain.

The tears that had just begun to subside not only failed to stop, but instead burst forth in an even more torrent.

She was momentarily flustered and at a loss, her clear divinity in chaos. She wanted to rush forward and embrace Zeus, but she was also afraid of touching his terrible wound.

With a heavy sob in her voice, she pleaded urgently, "My love, I know, I know everything! Please, please stop hurting yourself and quickly restore your divine body!"

A golden light flashed, and the wounds on the god-king's body were instantly healed.

Zeus tossed his scepter back onto the table in the palace, then smiled slightly and embraced the tearful goddess once more.

He gently inhaled the goddess's soft, flowing hair, rubbed his cheek against hers, and softly wiped away the seemingly endless tears from his beloved goddess.

She said in the gentlest voice, "My love, please never doubt my love for you, and never think such nonsense again."

Metis nodded repeatedly, still tenderly stroking Zeus's now fully healed chest, tears streaming down her face, now only tears of heartache.

With a voice full of pain, she said, "My love, I have never doubted your love for me! I only beg you, please never hurt yourself like this again. Seeing you hurt is a thousand times more painful than if I were hurt myself."

Zeus had no doubt about the sincerity of his beloved goddess's words.

He knew perfectly well that if he were to cut open Metis's heart at this moment, then her heart would only reflect the image of him, a god.

It would never be as he imagined, already a kaleidoscope of colors, filled with countless beautiful figures.

He kissed Metis's smooth, pretty face with tenderness, swallowing all of her tears, and said softly, "My love, please don't be sad anymore, and please don't think so much anymore."

“I never want you to lose your bright self. We have eternal and infinite time, and we will enjoy this infinitely wonderful universe together. As long as we can be together forever and live happily, that is enough.”

Metis nodded repeatedly in His arms, behaving very obediently.

Nothing else matters anymore; Zeus is the most important.

Zeus then coughed twice, leaned close to Metis's ear, and whispered, "My love, was what you just said true?"

Upon hearing this, Metis also wanted to quickly dispel the oppressive atmosphere. She rolled her beautiful eyes slightly and gave Zeus a disapproving look, but still spoke with a tone full of affection, saying reproachfully, "Hmph! I keep my word! Didn't you say that gods cannot break their oaths?"

Zeus immediately nodded heavily and said with a serious expression, "Of course, a god should keep his word."

The goddess of wisdom glared at him reproachfully, and said with a hint of resentment, "I really don't know when you got entangled with my new sister again."

"Besides, you didn't even have a child with me, yet you had a child with my sister first!"

Even Zeus was somewhat embarrassed at this moment.

He could only rub his cheek against the flawless face of the bright-eyed goddess, and say in a very soft voice, "There's a reason for this, and the situation is really special."

Metis gently silenced Zeus by silencing him, and after he had a good taste of the sweet nectar of the Oceanid, she softly said, "If it's inconvenient to say my love right now, then don't say it anymore. I understand."

As she spoke, she glared at her beloved God-King again and said helplessly, "Anyway, she's my sister too. Since I've fallen hopelessly in love with you, it's only natural that my sister would fall in love with you as well."
