Chapter 428 showed some scenes.

Su Miaoyi walked into the hospital, thinking about the clues she had just obtained.

If Han Zhanpeng is arrested now and the birthday party is canceled, the drug trafficking lead will be cut off.

However, Di Xin has only provided clues so far, without any substantial evidence, so there's nothing that can be done to Han Zhanpeng. The most important thing now is to find evidence first.

The fact that Han Zhanpeng and Lu Min had an improper relationship does not directly prove that Lu Min's disappearance was related to Han Zhanpeng.

However, the necessary procedures still need to be followed.

Han Zhanpeng is the emergency room doctor.

The person who had been put on a tube suddenly disappeared; he had to go and ask them.

She wanted to see how he would evade this responsibility and how he would lie.

Su Miaoyi shook her head, took out her phone to check, but there were no messages.

She entered the inpatient building and then walked from the fourth-floor corridor toward the west building.

I ran into Aunt Qu again on the connecting corridor.

Aunt Qu spent most of the day at the hospital.

There were still quite a few cars parked outside the hospital, but it was quieter at night than during the day.

There were few people on the connecting corridor, and the lighting was a bit dim.

"Aunt Qu, have you gone back?" Su Miaoyi asked.

Perhaps because of the dim lighting, Aunt Qu squinted at her and said, "It's you."

Su Miaoyi helped her walk a little further towards the inpatient department.

“There’s really something wrong with the west building. As soon as I went in, I felt a chill down my spine. I always felt like someone was watching me,” Aunt Qu said.

"Did you feel like someone was watching you today?" Su Miaoyi asked.

"Yes. I feel very uncomfortable."

Su Miaoyi did not speak.

She didn't know before, but today she spent almost the entire day in the West Building, so she knows what's going on there.

There weren't many security guards; it was always the normal number.

"Alright, you go ahead and do your work. I can walk back by myself," Aunt Qu said.

"I'll see you out." Su Miaoyi escorted her out of the hospital building, hailed a taxi on the roadside, and paid the fare.

Aunt Qu held a small wallet and kept trying to give her money, but Su Miaoyi refused and helped her into the car.

Aunt Qu still wanted to give her money.

Su Miaoyi took her wrist and put her hand back. She touched the bracelet on her wrist, which was a jade bracelet.

She noticed it yesterday.

The jade bracelet wasn't of very high quality, but Aunt Qu treasured it greatly; it must have been a gift from someone important.

It was very likely given by her son, Ning Cheng.

Su Miaoyi placed one of the snacks she was holding on the car seat, closed the car door, and let the driver leave.

As she turned to walk back towards the inpatient department, she suddenly saw some images.

She stopped in her tracks.

In the video, she is walking in a large hall, an environment that is both unfamiliar and somewhat familiar.

The motion-sensor lights above her head lit up one by one as she walked forward.

Suddenly, at the end of the hall, around a corner, I saw a man.

She was startled, but after seeing the man's face clearly, she slowly let out a breath.

But I was still very nervous, and my heart was pounding.

She tried to calm herself down, and managed a smile: "Dr. Han."

She heard herself utter a man's voice.

The man stared intently at her: "Ning Cheng, you've already been suspended. What are you still doing here?"

"I...I can't sleep, so I came to check on you."

"What are you looking at?" the man asked. "Looking at my workplace. I probably won't be coming back."

"You don't work on this floor, so what are you doing here looking around?" the man asked, looking at her.

"I just wandered up here."

As soon as she finished speaking, the light above her head suddenly went out.

She stomped her foot, trying to turn on the voice-activated light, but it didn't.

She stomped her foot again, and the next second her mouth was covered. She struggled violently, but the person behind her was too strong.

In the darkness, she could feel a handkerchief covering her mouth, and by the time she realized what was happening and tried to hold her breath, it was too late.

Soon, she lost her strength, her body went limp, and her consciousness began to blur.

Her remaining senses made her feel like she was being dragged along by two people.

Her consciousness was hazy, and it was dark all around her; she didn't know where she had been dragged.

She felt that after being dragged for a while, it stopped, and then something was loosely put around her neck. Then, she felt herself being lifted up and then thrown down.

After falling, the thing around her neck tightened suddenly, and she quickly lost consciousness.

Su Miaoyi pulled herself out of the scene, and the feeling of empathy made her legs go weak and she fell to the ground the moment she pulled away.

She gripped her neck and gasped for breath.

Suddenly someone supported her arm.

She turned her head to the side, and because she couldn't breathe properly, tears welled up in her eyes. Suddenly, she couldn't even see who was next to her.

After wiping away her tears, she finally saw Xi Xian's face clearly.

Xi Xian lifted her up as if pulling her out of the ground, and helped her to the side of the flower bed to sit down.

Su Miaoyi was still a little unwell, breathing heavily, feeling uncomfortable all over.

Xi Xian sat beside her, looking at her.

What's so good about this place that I have to come back despite all this suffering?

"Why are you here?" Su Miaoyi had calmed down a bit.

"Zhuang Yanzheng gave me my ID card yesterday, so it's very convenient for me to go anywhere now." Xi Xian's tone was dry. "With a new ID card, of course I have to use it."

"Why are you still angry?" Su Miaoyi looked at her.

“I want to be angry,” Xi Xian said. “I see so many cars, so many people, it’s so dark and so cold, I just want to be angry, is that not allowed?”

“No,” Su Miaoyi said.

Xi Xian stared at her.

Su Miaoyi patted her head: "You're not allowed to get angry here."

Xi Xian: "."

Su Miaoyi asked, "How did you know I was here?"

“I naturally have my own way.” Xi Xian said, then looked at Su Miaoyi and said, “You go take care of your business first. I’ll go find something to eat.”

"I haven't eaten either."

"Who in their right mind wouldn't eat at this hour?" Xi Xian said.

"you."

Xi Xian choked for a moment, then got up and poked her between the eyebrows.

"What are you doing?" Su Miaoyi touched her brow.

Xi Xian didn't say anything and just left.

“I haven’t eaten,” Su Miaoyi said again.

"Okay, I'll bring it to you in a bit."

Su Miaoyi watched her leave, and as soon as she was out of sight, she heard some noises.

"Help me, please help me." Su Miaoyi's consciousness wavered for a moment.

"I'm here, I'm here, please help me, please help me."

The sound continued to appear intermittently in her mind. After a few seconds, she got up and walked towards the direction from which the sound came.
