Chapter 423 Lu Min is Sick
Upon arriving at the hospital, Su Miaoyi and the other two went to Kang Ting's ward, but there was no one inside.

Song Yucheng contacted Kang Ting.

"Captain Kang and Painter Lu are in the emergency room," Song Yucheng said.

The three of them rushed to the emergency room.

A resuscitation room that is quite far from the inpatient department.

Kang Ting and Lu Zhishen were both sitting in chairs.

"What happened?" Song Yucheng asked.

"Lu Min suddenly fell ill and was taken to the emergency room." Kang Ting glanced in the direction of the emergency room.

Su Miaoyi looked at Lu Zhishen.

Lu Zhishen said, "We've been here for ten minutes."

"What illness?" Chu Xingrou asked.

“It’s a lung problem,” Lu Zhishen said. “Lu Min suddenly couldn’t breathe, and her blood oxygen kept dropping. They said it was a lung problem, but they don’t know the specifics yet. The doctor said she’s been feeling discomfort in her heart, which might be related to her lungs, so they couldn’t find anything wrong with her heart when they checked her heart.”

Su Miaoyi also sat down in a chair: "When we came over, we saw several emergency rooms that were relatively close by. Why did we come here?"

Lu Min's situation must be quite urgent, considering how far she has come.

"They say the equipment here is advanced, and Lu Min will need it," Kang Ting said.

Su Miaoyi nodded, looked towards the emergency room, and then suddenly covered her ears.

Seeing that Miaomiao had her head down, eyes closed, and brows furrowed, Chu Xingrou asked softly, "Sister Miaomiao, what's wrong?"

Su Miaoyi covered her ear with one hand, frowned, and did not move or answer her.

Chu Xingrou noticed that she didn't seem to have seen anything; she didn't stop, but rather looked very uncomfortable, her brows furrowing deeper and deeper.

She looked around, then gently touched her back to ease her discomfort: "Sister Miaomiao, are you feeling unwell? Should I go call a doctor?"

Su Miaoyi grasped her arm with her other hand and shook her head to indicate that she didn't need to.

"okay, I get it."

After about two minutes, Su Miaoyi lowered her hand and shook her head.

"Sister Miaomiao, are you alright? What happened?" Chu Xingrou asked.

Su Miaoyi looked around.

There were only a few of them outside the emergency room; there was no one else.

No one spoke; it was very quiet.

But just now she suddenly heard a lot of sounds in her ears.

There were many voices talking at the same time, which was very chaotic.

However, upon closer inspection, one can distinguish the voices of men, women, teenagers, and children.

All the sounds were mixed together, and it was impossible to make out what they were saying; it just sounded like howling, very miserable and sad.

“I heard some sounds,” Su Miaoyi said.

"What's that sound?" Chu Xingrou asked.

Su Miaoyi shook her head: "It's hard to say."

She glanced at the door of the emergency room again, but this time she heard nothing more.

Almost an hour later, the door to the emergency room opened.

Lu Min was admitted to the intensive care unit.

The doctor explained the current situation to them.

Lu Min's lung condition is very serious; she has been intubated. Her recovery will depend on her condition. She is currently under observation in the intensive care unit, and it's uncertain whether she will recover.

They watched as Lu Min was wheeled out of the emergency room.

A tube was inserted into his mouth, and his eyes were closed.

The doctor said, "Intubation would be very uncomfortable, so we gave her a little sleeping pill to keep her from moving around."

"Besides the lung problems, are there any other health issues?" Kang Ting asked.

No. It's just a problem with my lungs.

"Why didn't you notice it yesterday?" Kang Ting asked.

"I heard they've been checking her heart all day," the doctor said. "Her heart is fine, but she keeps saying she's not feeling well. Since there's this connection, didn't you think of checking her heart as well?" Kang Ting said. "If it had been discovered earlier, it wouldn't be this serious now."

The doctor said, "You should ask her attending physician about this. We only came into contact with this patient today."

“If this is your level of treatment, we have no choice but to transfer her to another hospital,” Kang Ting said.

"Her condition is such that she cannot be transferred to another hospital. She might not make it to the ambulance," the doctor said.

Kang Ting took a deep breath and said nothing more.

Su Miaoyi glanced at the doctor, then followed the nurse to the intensive care unit, watching as Lu Min was wheeled inside.

Lu Zhishen said, "Isn't it a coincidence? We just made arrangements to go fishing yesterday, and she suddenly fell ill today."

"Yesterday's test results were clear, but today there's a problem. How can such a big hospital make such a basic mistake?" Chu Xingrou said.

“If it really was arranged by them, then this hospital also has a big problem.” Su Miaoyi said, recalling the screams in her ears.

“We need to be careful,” Lu Zhishen said.

Su Miaoyi nodded and discussed it with Kang Ting. Kang Ting then arranged for someone to guard the place.

"Doesn't Lu Min have any other relatives or friends?" Su Miaoyi asked. "She's in the hospital here, and not a single person has come to visit her."

“We couldn’t get in touch with her,” Kang Ting said. “As soon as she entered the emergency room, I called her father. He said they had severed ties and that we shouldn’t talk to him about this. We couldn’t find any other relatives or friends either. Some people from her company came to see her yesterday, but they didn’t see her.”

Su Miaoyi nodded: "Go see her attending physician."

Kang Ting looked at Song Yucheng and said, "You stay here with them and keep watch. Contact us immediately if anything happens."

"it is good."

I went to the ward and met Lu Min's attending physician.

Kang Ting asked the doctor.

The attending physician talked about this and that, using a lot of medical jargon.

In short, the conclusion is that his treatment was not the problem; Lu Min suddenly fell ill on her own. Her lung disease is relatively difficult to detect, and the fact that it was not detected has nothing to do with him.

In the end, Kangting felt he had been convinced, because he was starting to not understand anymore.

Su Miaoyi looked at Kang Ting and began to nod in agreement with him.

After asking his questions, Kang Ting looked at Su Miaoyi.

Su Miaoyi asked, "How long have you been working here?"

The doctor said, "I came here the year before last; I was previously at another hospital."

"Do you know Ning Cheng?" Su Miaoyi asked.

Ning Cheng is Aunt Qu's son.

The doctor thought for a moment and said, "I don't recognize him."

Su Miaoyi and the others left.

"Aside from the feeling that he's shirking responsibility, I can't see anything wrong with him," Kang Ting said.

Su Miaoyi nodded: "Captain Kang, check their information. This attending physician, and the one in the emergency room."

Without any leads, all suspected individuals must be investigated.

"Row."

At noon, Su Miaoyi and Chu Xingrou came out of the hospital to have lunch.

The two had just arrived at the hospital entrance when they encountered Aunt Qu.

She fell to the ground again.

The two quickly helped her up and put her on a chair in the hospital lobby.

“We met yesterday, didn’t we? You were with Officer Song.” Aunt Qu touched her leg. “Officer Song is a good man. We’ve known each other for many years.”

"Did you come here today because of your leg pain?" Su Miaoyi didn't ask directly.

"No. I'm here to seek justice for my son and to find evidence."

Thank you everyone for your donations, monthly tickets, and recommendation votes.
