Seeing the crime scene flashbacks made me the darling of the police station.

Chapter 370: It feels like there are a lot of people.

Chapter 370: It feels like there are a lot of people.
Su Miaoyi and Zhuang Yanzheng were looking at it in the dressing room.

The walk-in closet is very large, filled with clothes, luxury watches, ties, and cufflinks.

Su Miaoyi thought that Guan Zhou might have a hobby of collecting cufflinks, and that he might have several that were collector's items.

“There were no signs of the place being ransacked.” Zhuang Yanzheng collected several fingerprints on the glass of the wardrobe and display case. “The murderer only wanted to kill, not for money.”

Su Miaoyi opened each cabinet one by one, looking at the clothes inside and checking for hidden compartments or similar features.

There's nothing there, just a regular walk-in closet.

After closing the last wardrobe, Su Miaoyi glanced at the dirty laundry basket next to it.

There were trench coats and shirts lying on top. She picked up the trench coat and felt the pockets, but there was nothing there. Just as she was about to put it back, she saw pajamas in the laundry basket.

She pulled it out; it was a woman's nightgown.

Apart from this nightgown, there were no other women's clothes or accessories in the walk-in closet.

Coming up from the first floor, in the kitchen and bathroom, there were no signs of anyone else living there.

Su Miaoyi packed up her nightgown, intending to take it back to see if she could find any DNA.

After leaving the dressing room, the two went to the room next door.

The room next door looks like a guest room.

The toiletries in the bathroom were all new and untouched, making it seem like no one had lived there.

Zhuang Yanzheng checked the fingerprints, while Su Miaoyi opened all the cabinets to take a look.

After opening the bedside table drawer, Zhuang Yanzheng shone a survey lamp on a painting on the wall next to him and said, "There are a lot of fingerprints on this painting."

Su Miaoyi looked up and asked, "Is there a hidden compartment?"

Otherwise, who would keep moving the paintings on the wall?

Zhuang Yanzheng tried to move the painting, but it was too sturdy to be moved.

Just then, Su Miaoyi felt a button on the top of the bedside table drawer. She was about to press it when she paused and said, "Captain Zhuang, move to the side a bit."

Zhuang Yanzheng moved to the side.

Su Miaoyi pressed the button, and the painting on the wall suddenly popped open, revealing a safe embedded in the wall behind it.

Zhuang Yanzheng took a look, but couldn't open it.

"Can you smell anything?" Su Miaoyi asked.

"The scent of aromatherapy," Zhuang Yanzheng said.

“More than that.” Su Miaoyi approached the safe and sniffed it. “It has a somewhat pungent metallic smell.”

After she finished speaking, she exchanged a glance with Zhuang Yanzheng.

The two said together, "Ice poison."

Zhuang Yanzheng took out his phone and made a call: "Have the technical department come over and open it."

"Ah."

As they left the room, the two encountered Lu Zhishen and Chu Xingrou, who were coming out of the room in front.

"There's a study on the far west side, and we found two cell phones inside." Lu Zhishen said, holding the cell phones in the evidence bag. "They were both turned off, and I just charged them. They both have passwords and can't be opened."

Chu Xingrou said, "We found a lot of fingerprints on the sofa on the first floor, as well as in the bathroom, the sofa, table, and chairs in the study. It feels like they belonged to several people."

"Several people?" Su Miaoyi asked. "I think so," Chu Xingrou said. "We still need to take them back for further investigation."

"Fingerprints were only found on the headboard in the bedroom, and the bathroom in the bedroom had been cleaned," Su Miaoyi said.

"Fingerprints were also found in the walk-in closet, and they don't seem to belong to the same person," Zhuang Yanzheng said.

“Many people have visited this villa,” Lu Zhishen said.

"Let's look at other places."

After checking the second floor, the four of them went up to the third floor, which was a gym and a home theater.

A considerable number of fingerprints were also extracted.

"Didn't the assistant say that Guan Zhou asked him to hire a cleaner to clean this place before his vacation? The area where fingerprints were extracted doesn't look like it's been cleaned," Chu Xingrou said.

“It might not have been cleaned thoroughly,” Lu Zhishen said. “Some places look like they’ve been wiped down, so there are no fingerprints, while other places look like they were just done perfunctorily, so there are fingerprints.”

"I feel like all I see right now are fingerprints," Su Miaoyi said.

“Let’s go,” Zhuang Yanzheng said. “Let’s ask that assistant.”

Su Miaoyi asked, "Have you checked out the smart home system for that villa downstairs?"

“I’ve checked,” Lu Zhishen said. “It can detect when someone enters the villa, but we don’t know who it is. It also monitors the villa’s temperature, water, and electricity. On the two days with the highest water usage, there were indeed people entering the villa. There were four records of people entering and three records of people leaving over those two days. Then, until today, someone came in. It was the assistant who came in and left, and then we came.”

"He went in four times and came out three times," Zhuang Yanzheng said. "It started from the day Guan Zhou said he wanted to take a break."

“Yes. The assistant said Guan Zhou left the company at 11:00 AM,” Lu Zhishen said. “The smart home system shows that someone entered the villa at 12:00 PM, which should have been Guan Zhou. Then at 1:17 PM, someone else entered the villa. Nearly twelve hours later, at 12:54 AM, someone left the villa, which I think was the murderer disposing of the body. At 3:21 AM, someone else entered the villa, which might be the murderer returning. They left at 7:08 AM the next day. Finally, at 2:33 PM, someone came in, and the murderer returned to the scene again, leaving at 8:12 PM.”

“Guan Zhou said he didn’t book tickets for his trip, and there were no signs of forced entry on the door. Does that mean Guan Zhou arranged to meet someone at the villa?” Su Miaoyi said.

“Very likely,” Zhuang Yanzheng said. “There are no security cameras inside or outside this villa. The nearest camera is outside the villa next door, but it can’t capture this area; it can only capture cars passing by on the road.”

“Why isn’t there a security camera installed outside the villa?” Chu Xingrou said. “This house is full of valuables, and they’re not worried about anyone coming in to steal them. I feel that the front door and the lock on the door can be easily opened.”

“There’s blood here,” Su Miaoyi said, pointing to the crack in the floor below the steps.

They came down the steps and squatted down to look at the tiny bit of blood in the crack in the floor.

Chu Xingrou collected blood. After the collection was completed, Zhuang Yanzheng sprayed occult blood blue light reagent on it. When the lights were turned off, blue light appeared, but the area was not very large.

“If it’s Guan Zhou’s blood, could he have been killed here?” Chu Xingrou asked.

Zhuang Yanzheng and Lu Zhishen walked up the spiral staircase, spraying reagents as they went. There was also blue light as they went up to the master bedroom, which must have been dripped onto the staircase when they were carrying the reagents up.

Su Miaoyi is taking photos.

As she was taking pictures, she suddenly saw something else.

The scene they witnessed was brief, and no one noticed anything amiss with her.

When she pulled away from the scene, she felt a little uncomfortable and staggered to the side. Chu Xingrou supported her, saying, "Sister Miaomiao."

Zhuang Yanzheng and Lu Zhishen looked at them and walked over to them.

Su Miaoyi took a deep breath, but felt like she couldn't catch her breath, so she pounded her chest twice. Chu Xingrou quickly patted her back.

"Okay, okay," Su Miaoyi said, "I suddenly saw something."

"Are you alright?" Lu Zhishen asked.

“It’s alright.” Su Miaoyi took another deep breath. “It was seen from the deceased’s perspective. He came downstairs and kept looking towards the living room. Then, when he reached the stairs, someone suddenly covered his mouth from behind and slit his throat. He didn’t see the murderer, but he heard the murderer say ‘Die,’ and it was a man’s voice.”
