Chapter 332 Asking her is not as good as asking me
When Lu Zhishen came out of the interrogation room, he still couldn't persuade Tian Min to draw a portrait.

He returned to his office and drank a large glass of water first.

All three of them were looking at him.

"I want to go back to Jiangcheng." Lu Zhishen's voice was weak, as if he had exhausted all his energy.

Zhuang Yanzheng hooked a chair over with his foot: "Come on, sit down."

Lu Zhishen sat down.

Zhuang Yanzheng placed his hand on his shoulder, whispering like a devil: "Don't think about it anymore. You can only go back to Jinghai. You only have this one choice."

Lu Zhishen pulled his hand away.

“It is indeed very difficult,” Chu Xingrou said. “Tian Min will cooperate fully with what she wants to say, but it is really difficult to get any information out of her if she doesn’t want to say anything.”

Su Miaoyi sighed: "Where's Captain Duan?"

"I returned a call." After saying that, Lu Zhishen didn't want to talk anymore.

A short while later, Duan Wenrui returned.

“Team Leader Zhuang, I’ve contacted my colleagues in the city to take people to check those places you mentioned.” He said, “There are two entertainment venues, but we didn’t find anything. We asked their owners and showed them photos of Lu Xian and Cong Yu, but they both said they had never seen them before and had no recollection of them.”

"There are two other addresses that are properties under the same person's name. We found that this person is in country D, but we couldn't contact him or find any information about his family."

"What about the bar?" Su Miaoyi asked.

“There was indeed a bar called Nightfall on Shanghe Street three years ago. I asked around, and it seems that it suddenly closed down three years ago and hasn’t reopened since.” Duan Wenrui took out his phone. “The owner’s name is Fan Hui. Here’s a photo.”

The four of them huddled together looking at the photo.

Duan Wenrui continued, "We haven't been able to contact him yet. The police have a missing person report for him. We've managed to contact his wife and children. His wife said that three years ago, Fan Hui went out to work at night and never came back. She couldn't find him or contact him, so she reported him missing to the police, but they haven't been able to find him either."

"According to Cong Yu, he must have run away to save his life," Zhuang Yanzheng said.

"Does his wife know anything?" Su Miaoyi asked.

“She knows nothing. For the past three years, she has been looking for Fan Hui.”

“That’s true,” Su Miaoyi said. “If she knew something, she wouldn’t have called the police.”

"What about Fan Hui's other family members?" Chu Xingrou asked.

“His parents passed away before he got married. He was an only child and had an uncle who almost stopped contacting him after his father passed away,” Duan Wenrui said. “I asked around, and his uncle knew he was missing, but he didn’t know anything else.”

"Send me the photos," Zhuang Yanzheng said.

"Okay." Duan Wenrui sent him the photo. "Tian Min is still not cooperating on the portrait matter."

Let's ask again tomorrow.

Duan Wenrui nodded, paused, and said, "I want Tian Shi and Tian Xuan to meet before Tian Min goes to Changshi."

Zhuang Yanzheng looked at him: "Captain Duan, the case is solved. Once the rain stops, we should head back. You can make the decisions about the rest."

"We really owe you all this time; otherwise, we don't know when this case would have been solved," Duan Wenrui said.

"You're being too polite."

After chatting for a few minutes, they all went back to the next room to rest.

The temperature is low at night, and it gets damp and chilly when it rains.

Lying in bed, Su Miaoyi listened to the sound of rain outside and fell asleep in no time.

Moreover, she slept for a long time, and when Chu Xingrou got up the next morning, she didn't hear her.

Chu Xingrou came to call her for breakfast, but she mumbled that she didn't want to eat and went back to sleep.

I slept until after 10 o'clock.

I felt a little dazed when I got up and sat on the bed.

It's still raining outside, so I can't tell the time.

She looked at her phone, her eyes still glazed over: "How did I sleep for so long?"

No one responded to her.

I put on my coat and went to wash up. After washing up, I went to the police station.

"Awake?" Zhuang Yanzheng and Lu Zhishen had just come out of the interrogation room.

Su Miaoyi nodded, glanced at the two of them, and continued walking towards the office.

"Why don't you ask us if we've successfully created the portrait yet?" Zhuang Yanzheng said.

"It's obvious it didn't work." Su Miaoyi took a glass of water and drank it.

Lu Zhishen gave her two bags of cookies.

Su Miaoyi tore open a bag: "Don't ask anymore. You might as well ask me instead of her."

Zhuang Yanzheng was reaching for her cookies when he heard her words and paused, looking at her: "What did you remember?"

Lu Zhishen also looked at her.

Su Miaoyi slapped his hand away and ate a small cookie: "Mmm. I dreamed about her last night and it reminded me of some things."

"What's your name?" Zhuang Yanzheng asked.

Su Miaoyi shook her head: "I also call her Sister Ying. I can't remember what she's called."

Lu Zhishen suddenly looked relieved: "There's no need to persuade Tian Min anymore."

"Your savior has arrived," Su Miaoyi said.

Lu Zhishen took a pen and paper, moved a chair, and sat down next to her.

Su Miaoyi began to describe, and Lu Zhishen began to draw.

Zhuang Yanzheng glanced at them, then sat down without saying anything more.

As Su Miaoyi spoke, she ate one bag of cookies and then another bag of cookies.

She watched as the person in her mind gradually emerged on the drawing paper.

Thinking about the content of my dream.

“What’s so great about Jinghai? They sent you here as an undercover agent because they don’t care about your life at all. You know perfectly well what happened to the people who came to infiltrate before. Why would they still send you here? They’re treating you well here, so why don’t you just settle down and live a peaceful life here?”

Sakura's voice was very cold, devoid of any emotion, and her face was expressionless.

High brow bones make it look like the eyebrows are pressing down on the eyes when looking at people, which can be quite intimidating.

"Give in a little, don't be so stubborn. If you're more comfortable, it'll save us a lot of trouble. You're suffering like this every day, it's not good for you, and it's a hassle for us too. Just cooperate, it's just a memory eraser, you'll forget about it and everything will be fine."

She sat on the bed with her legs drawn up, looking at Sister Ying: "Sister Ying, I'm really from Dian City, not Jinghai. I've never been to Jinghai in my life."

Sister Ying looked at her for a while and then said, "Even if you're exposed, will you still insist on being an undercover agent?"

"I didn't." Her voice was very soft and pitiful.

"Qin Leyan, we're already open about our cards, there's no need for this. Continuing like this won't benefit anyone." Sister Ying finished speaking and moved the food closer to the table. "Have some."

She shook her head and shrank further into the bed: "I feel nauseous and have no appetite."

Sister Ying glanced at her, then at the food, and asked in a cold tone, "Is there anything you'd like to eat?"

She still shook her head.

Sakura said, "Would you like dessert? I'll have the chef make it."

"I don't want to eat, I want to sleep for a while." She said, trying to lie down, then looked at Sister Ying and asked fearfully, "Will he take me to that room again today?"

Sister Ying looked at her without saying anything.

"I don't want to go," she said in a muffled voice, her head down.

“No one can change his decisions,” Sister Ying said. “You can only cooperate and try to alleviate your pain.”

She didn't say anything, and after lying down, she covered herself with the blanket.

 good night
