Chapter 324 Trying to trick her

Su Miaoyi knocked on the door and entered Tian Min's house.

"Is anyone home?" she called out when she didn't see anyone in the yard.

After a while, Tian Min came out of the room. When she saw her, she was first surprised, then frightened.

Su Miaoyi laughed and said, "Surprised?"

Tian Min shook her head and clasped her hands together.

Su Miaoyi looked at the glue on her clothes; it had already dried.

"Are you doing crafts?" Su Miaoyi asked.

Tian Min nodded.

"Would it be convenient for me to go and take a look?" Su Miaoyi asked.

Tian Min looked at her, then nodded, and led her to the room.

The two went to her room, where Su Miaoyi looked at the various wooden sticks, knives, glue, and other items on the table.

It looks like it's been going on for a while.

"Your mother isn't home?"

Tian Min shook her head and went out to pour her a glass of water.

Su Miaoyi took the water.

Tian Min then gave her a stool.

Su Miaoyi sat down.

Tian Min sat down and picked up her phone to type: [My mom went out to play, and my aunt had something to do at home, so she went back first. My aunt will come back after my father's body is returned.]
Su Miaoyi nodded.

Tian Min typed again: [Did you come here for something?]
Su Miaoyi looked around. "Nothing serious, I just had a few questions for you, so I wandered over."

"[Is it just you?]" Tian Min asked.

"Hmm," Su Miaoyi said, "They all went up the mountain to look for Zhao Yongliang. I had nothing to do, so I strolled over here."

Tian Min nodded and remained seated, waiting for her to ask.

Su Miaoyi observed her for a while and said, "We arrested someone yesterday."

Tian Min looked at her.

"His name is Twenty-One."

Tian Min lowered her head and typed: [Is it the murderer?]
"Yes."

"So, am I cleared of suspicion?" Tian Min asked.

Su Miaoyi glanced at the words on her phone: "Let me tell you a story."

Tian Min looked at her, her face showing both confusion and bewilderment.

"Listen to it."

Tian Min nodded.

Su Miaoyi said, "There was a little girl whose father was a gambler who owed a lot of money. Once, the little girl was bullied by a bachelor in the village. Her father went to settle accounts with the bachelor, but instead got a sum of money from him."

Tian Min clenched her hands together and slowly shrank back.

Even though she was now absolutely certain that she was the murderer, Su Miaoyi still felt terrible as she spoke. She gritted her teeth and continued, "Later, whenever he was in debt and being chased for repayment, he would try to use similar methods to pay it off."

“This kind of thing was stopped by the girl’s family once or twice. But… this hateful gambler, this bastard, kept having this idea. And one time he still did it.” Tian Min clenched her hands tightly.

“There was a kidnapper in the village who was unmarried and occasionally went to the market to sell things to earn some pocket money.” Su Miaoyi’s voice was soft and slow. “Although this kidnapper didn’t live very well, he didn’t have any major expenses and was supported by his two younger sisters. So he had saved up some money. One day, the girl’s father drugged her dinner and, while she was asleep and not fully conscious, secretly took her to the kidnapper’s house.”

Tian Min covered her face.

Su Miaoyi took a slow, deep breath: "When the little girl woke up the next day, she discovered that her father had sold her again. She hated him, but she didn't do anything. She wanted to kill them, but she had to wait for the right opportunity."

The scenes she saw at the police station included not only Tian Min killing Zhao Yongliang, but also the killing of Wu An and Wan Shuang.

When Tian Min killed Wu An, she talked to him for a long time.

She learned some information from it.

"Later, when the kidnapper went out, the little girl happened to meet him. Seeing that no one was around, she saw a good opportunity, knocked him unconscious, and hid him. When someone goes missing in the village, they will definitely look for him. The little girl was very clever; she hid him first. After everyone stopped looking, she took him to the mountain and dismembered him with a boning knife."

Tian Min covered her face and didn't move.

Su Miaoyi said, "The cripple was still conscious when she was dismembering him. She started with his feet, separating the skin and flesh along the ankle joint. Then she did the calves, thighs, arms, and finally the head."

Tian Min slowly lowered her hand, but still kept her head down.

Su Miaoyi breathed a sigh of relief: "Now that the atmosphere is right, I'll tell you one more story."

“There’s a woman in the village who loves to spread rumors and gossip. She always says that the girls in the village are immoral. But this woman is a decent person, so when another woman who loves to spread rumors was killed three years ago, this woman escaped.”

"But she didn't know when to stop. One day, this woman said those things in front of the little girl. The little girl didn't want to keep her anymore. While the woman was cutting grass in the morning, she fed her cyanide, cut out her tongue, and hung her from a tree."

Tian Min kept her head down and didn't say anything.

Su Miaoyi looked at her, and after a while said, "Was Zhao Yongliang killed because he knew too much?"

Tian Min looked at her, her eyes filled with panic, sadness, confusion, and bewilderment.

Su Miaoyi's voice continued gently: "Is the place where Zhao Yongliang was buried your family's land? That pit is like a cellar, very deep, and difficult to find. Even if the body is slightly decomposed, it will be difficult to find it in a short time."

Tian Min remained innocent, weak, and confused.

Su Miaoyi remained gentle: "You said the body was found on your land, and all these things are related to you. How can there be so many coincidences in the world? Or do you want to wait until things calm down a bit in the next couple of days, and then quietly dispose of Zhao Yongliang's body so that no one can find it? After all, erasing traces is something you're good at."

Tian Min shook her head repeatedly, then picked up her phone and typed: [I didn't! I didn't!]
Su Miaoyi glanced at her phone, then looked at her: "I've been away for too long. I'm not used to the climate here, and I don't like the food either. I miss home. My plan is to go back this week."

Tian Min looked at her, even more puzzled.

Su Miaoyi said, "Twenty-one has already been caught. Actually, we can call it a day. But the trouble is that during the investigation, we found out that there were two murderers. We still need one more."

She smiled as she spoke, looking at Tian Min's features: "I need to find someone to apprehend. Evidence or not, I have plenty of ways to handle it."

Tian Min's pupils contracted slightly.

"Guess who I'll arrest?"

No sooner had she finished speaking than Tian Min plunged the knife into her abdomen.

Su Miaoyi grabbed her wrist in time.

She looked at the craft knife in her hand.

It happened so fast that she didn't even see the way the knife was picked up.

Tian Min's innocent and frightened eyes turned cold, instantly filled with murderous intent.

Su Miaoyi looked at her eyes, which were full of murderous intent yet brimming with tears, and laughed: "If Twenty-one hadn't attacked me yesterday, I wouldn't be so confident today that I could expose your weakness."

Tian Min also chuckled: "Actually, I didn't want to kill you either. You and Chu Xingrou are both very good people, but that person saved my life. Killing you is the only way I can repay her."
