Chapter 158 Call Dad

Su Ruoyun felt guilty and dared not look directly at Huo Jingcheng, so she kept looking up at the sky.

Seeing this, Huo Jingcheng curled his lips into an ambiguous smile, casually walking forward while holding the pink phone in one hand, and speaking in a low voice: "Are you calling me a dog?"

He then said loudly, "Apologize to our boss's wife."

The male voice was nonchalant, tinged with a hint of laughter.

Su Ruoyun casually put both arms around his shoulders; they were broad and made her feel safe. "How can you apologize?"

As Huo Jingcheng carried her and strode towards the Cullinan, he answered seriously, "Is that enough to warm the boss lady's bed tonight?"

"I guess I'll have to." Su Ruoyun turned her head to the side, appearing unwilling on the surface, but actually a slight smile played on her lips.

Upon seeing this, Lin, who was sitting in the driver's seat, quickly got out of the car, walked around the front of the car, and respectfully opened the rear door for the two of them.

Huo Jingcheng gently placed Su Ruoyun into the car, and after she straightened her skirt, he also got in.

She turned and went into the kitchen to wash her hands. When she came out with a set of bowls and chopsticks, she saw Huo Jingcheng holding 'Panda' and trying to coax the kitten into calling him dad.

He held the cat's two front paws and coaxed slowly, "Call me Daddy..."

In contrast, the panda's pair of mysterious, deep-sea blue eyes flickered slightly. It was unclear whether it understood or not, since it couldn't speak, but it simply let out a soft, adorable "meow," as if in response.

With just one word, Huo Jingcheng was already satisfied. A smile played on his thin lips as he stroked the cat's back with his warm, broad hand. "Good boy~"

They really treat their cat like a daughter.

Su Ruoyun couldn't bear to watch the two, a human and a cat, talking across species, so she raised her hand and tapped the low cabinet next to her to remind them, making two crisp "thump-thump" sounds. Huo Jingcheng, holding the 'panda', turned around, scratched the cat's chin, and said with a slight curve at the corner of his eye, "It called me dad."

There was a moment of silence in the restaurant.

Su Ruoyun placed the bowl and chopsticks in front of Huo Jingcheng. She had just washed her hands, so she didn't hold the kitten, but just flicked her tongue twice to tease it.

'Panda' opened its beautiful cat eyes, raised its paw to swat away Huo Jingcheng's big hand, and whined and made a fuss about getting down.

Seeing this, Huo Jingcheng bent down and placed the cat on the marble floor. 'Panda' then waddled out of the restaurant with its short legs.

It was happily eating its cat food when its male owner suddenly picked it up. Sigh, life is tough for cats.

They were supposed to eat and sleep without speaking, but there weren't many rules between them.

Su Ruoyun held a spoon in her right hand, eating steamed shrimp and egg. She bent her long fingers and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, when suddenly she thought of something.

"I have to go to rehearsal tomorrow, and I don't know when I'll be back."

There's a Party-building event on July 1st, and the Central Philharmonic Orchestra has invited her. Su Ruoyun hasn't practiced the guqin in a long time, and with the event approaching, she plans to go to the practice room tomorrow. Practicing the guqin is something that never seems to end.

"what about me?"

His deep male voice concealed a hint of 'grievance' that was easily noticeable.

"You should go back to your own villa to sleep tonight," Su Ruoyun arranged perfectly.

Even though he was unwilling, he couldn't let it interfere with important business, so Huo Jingcheng reluctantly agreed.

The two ate slowly and deliberately, with only the occasional soft clinking of bowls and chopsticks.

After they each went about their own business, they went to bed at ten o'clock, lying side by side on the soft bed.

The crystal pendants around the lampshade rippled continuously due to the impact, spreading a gentle, warm light together with the orange-toned bulb.
