Chapter 57 Don't Call Me Mom
The atmosphere instantly turned strange after these words were spoken.

Seven or eight pairs of eyes turned to look at Shen Jiaxue.

"I'm so sorry, I almost forgot that Jin Yue was engaged to Wen Zhu before..."

"But now that Jin Yue has married my third brother, she and Wen Zhu are practically family. They can't just never see each other again, can they?"

Shen Jiaxue looked completely innocent, as if she belatedly realized something, and quickly offered an explanation.

Anyone with eyes can see she did it on purpose; no one would believe her.

It's only been a few days, and you've already forgotten such a big thing? Are you brain-dead?
"If you don't want to eat, go back upstairs and stop talking nonsense!"

Tang Wanhua slammed her chopsticks on the table and glared at Shen Jiaxue.

"Mom, I didn't do it on purpose. I really forgot. You know I have a bad memory now that I'm pregnant."

Shen Jiaxue tried to argue, glancing intentionally or unintentionally at Song Jinyue and Fu Sinian as she spoke.

I originally thought this incident would upset them both and become a thorn in their relationship.

But to everyone's surprise, Fu Sinian remained expressionless as he peeled the shrimp in his hand, and then naturally placed it into Song Jinyue's bowl.

Jealous?

nonexistent.

He heard everything Yueyue said to Li Wenzhu last time.

On the other hand, Song Jinyue showed no embarrassment whatsoever, appearing completely indifferent to the situation.

Just as Shen Jiaxue was sizing up Song Jinyue, Song Jinyue looked up at her with a half-smile.

"If my sister-in-law hadn't reminded me, I would have almost forgotten that I didn't have any money on me when Li Wenzhu called me aunt last time, and I still owe him a red envelope."

"Since you want to see Li Wenzhu, then I'll trouble you to make the trip to Peking University. Once Li Wenzhu arrives, I can give him the red envelope for changing his address."

Shen Jiaxue's face stiffened, and she opened her mouth but couldn't utter a single word.

In this sweltering heat, for her to specifically go to Peking University to call Li Wenzhu home for dinner? Is she crazy?!
"Let's do it another day. The food will get cold by the time we go to Peking University. I'm not feeling well. You guys eat."

After saying that, Shen Jiaxue pulled out a chair and fled upstairs.

Seeing Shen Jiaxue's embarrassed expression, Xie Yiran's shoulders trembled, and she almost burst out laughing.

"Ahem, isn't your favorite dish braised fish? Eat up."

Fu Shi'an was afraid that his silly wife would not be able to hold it in, so he quickly put a piece of fish into her bowl.

Both of them had their heads down, but the next second they looked at each other with perfect understanding. The moment their eyes met, they couldn't hold back anymore and spat rice grains onto each other's faces with a "pfft".

It's a big joke.

Tang Wanhua: "..."

"You're such a grown-up, why are you acting like a child? Go wash your face! Honestly, you're just disgusting people!"

After Fu Shi'an and Xie Yiran's commotion, the atmosphere that had been disrupted by Shen Jiaxue instantly returned.

The family had a happy meal together, and afterwards Tang Wanhua tidied up Fu Sinian's room.

He was rarely home, and now that Shen Jiaxue was pregnant and often got up at night, he was worried that Fu Zhiqing and Fu Nianyao wouldn't get enough sleep and wouldn't be energetic in class the next day, so he let them stay in Fu Sinian's room first.

"Yueyue, Sinian, Mom is going to work. You two should rest well at home this afternoon. What do you want to eat tonight? We'll cook it when your dad gets home from get off work."

Tang Wanhua gave a few instructions, picked up her bag, and went to work humming a song.

Anyone could tell she was in a good mood.

Grandpa Fu and Grandma Fu, not wanting to disturb Song Jinyue's rest, talked for a while after dinner and then went back.

Fu Sinian took Song Jinyue back to her room.

"Yueyue, you didn't sleep well last night, why don't you go to sleep for a while?"

"I'm not sleepy yet." Song Jinyue looked around Fu Sinian's room.

Fu Sinian's room was very simple, with a bed, a wardrobe, and a desk in front of the window with a few books on it.

She had just walked over to pick up a book when Fu Sinian put his hand on her shoulder from behind.

"It's too sunny here, let's go to the bed to watch."

He held Song Jinyue's shoulders with both hands and pushed her to the bedside. After Song Jinyue sat down, he squatted down in front of her, held her ankles and was about to take off her shoes when Song Jinyue bent down.

"I can do it myself."

"Don't move, you've twisted your ankle. Put some medicine on it."

As Fu Sinian spoke, he took off her white shoes, revealing a red patch on her ankle.

He opened the safflower oil he had just brought up from downstairs, first applied it to his palm, and after rubbing it to warm it up, he applied it to the red and swollen area on Song Jinyue's ankle.

"Does it hurt?"

He frowned and gently massaged Song Jinyue.

"It doesn't hurt anymore. I would have forgotten if you hadn't mentioned it."

Song Jinyue propped herself up on the bed with both hands and looked down at him.

At the airport, Song Jinyue twisted her ankle, but the pain subsided quickly and she didn't pay much attention to it.

It wasn't a serious twist, but her skin was so fair that the red mark on her ankle looked particularly glaring.

After applying the medicine, Song Jinyue leaned against the bed and read a book, while Fu Sinian tidied up their clothes.

By the time he finished tidying up the clothes, Song Jinyue had already fallen asleep, leaning against the headboard with her head tilted to the side.

Seeing this, Fu Sinian walked over quietly, took the book aside, bent down and picked up Song Jinyue, letting her lie flat on the bed.

Song Jinyue opened her eyes groggily, saw that it was Fu Sinian, and then fell back asleep peacefully.

When I woke up again, it was two hours later.

Grandma Fu took Song Jinyue to the department store to shop and bought some things. She then picked up the children at five o'clock.

Song Jinyue stuffed some White Rabbit milk candies into their pockets and even picked out a toy for each of them.

As the saying goes, "He who eats another's food is bound to him, and he who takes another's money is bound to him." Today, the children ate and took money from him, calling him "Auntie" repeatedly, their words incredibly sweet.

The eldest of the four children is Fu Zhiqing, who is nine years old this year, followed by Fu Xiao, who is seven years old, Fu Cheng, who is six years old, and the youngest is Fu Nianyao, who is five years old.

Fu Zhiqing and Fu Nianyao are the children of Fu Mingqian and Shen Jiaxue, while Fu Xiao and Fu Cheng are the children of Fu Xiuyan and Ye Sangning.

Fu Cheng and Fu Nianyao were not yet of school age. Apart from their grandparents, everyone else in the Fu family was at work, so to save them the trouble, they simply sent them to a daycare center run by the neighborhood.

The children chattered away all the way home, talking about what happened at school and in the daycare. They didn't stop talking even after they got home, and the Fu family home instantly became lively.

In the evening, Fu Xiuyan and Ye Sangning returned. Except for Fu Mingqian, who was away on a business trip, the Fu family met with Song Jinyue.

After dinner, several children surrounded Song Jinyue, wanting to continue telling her interesting stories, but Tang Wanhua chased them away.

"Alright, alright, we'll talk about it tomorrow. Your aunt needs to rest."

They chattered and chattered, it gave me a headache.

Fu Xiuyan bent down and picked up Fu Xiao and Fu Cheng, one in each arm, and forcibly carried them back to the bedroom.

Fu Zhiqing and Fu Nianyao followed Shen Jiaxue upstairs. After arriving at the room, Fu Nianyao excitedly took out the rag doll that Song Jinyue had bought for her and ran to Shen Jiaxue.

"Mom, look, this is a gift from my aunt. My aunt is so kind; she bought me a doll and gave me candy."

Shen Jiaxue glanced at the doll in her hand, and when she heard Fu Nianyao praising Song Jinyue, she got angry and snatched the doll from her hand and threw it on the ground.

"You keep calling her 'Auntie' all the time. Since you like her so much, go live with her from now on, and don't call me 'Mom' anymore!"
