Under One Person: My Inner Realm Connects to All Worlds!
Chapter 90 Interior and Exterior Scenes
Chapter 90 Interior and Exterior Scenes
Interior space.
Looking at the transformed landscape, Han Yun couldn't help but marvel.
At the same time, Jinni and Wulong appeared beside him. Wulong's performance was more composed than when Jinni first entered, but it was still not much better.
They were thinking that even if Han Yun burned them with heavenly lightning every day, they would not want to leave.
Han Yun left a bell formed from his own Dan Yun Qi and inner vision anchor point for the five dragons, which was tied around their necks. In addition to its binding function, Han Yun could also pull the five dragons back into his inner vision space with a thought, even from countless worlds away.
After placing the Five Dragons and the Golden Lion in the inner space and letting them roam freely, Han Yun finally began to organize the gains from this trip to Mianshan.
First is the Mahayana Bodhicitta Sutra!
The first step is to construct one's own mental world. Han Yun's Divine Court Purple Mansion was already occupied by the inner landscape space. In other words, the inner landscape space can actually be regarded as one's own mental world.
Moreover, Han Yun can move all the items in the interior space at will, making him the absolute controller of this space. Therefore, Han Yun can skip the first step.
As soon as Han Yun uttered those words, the Bodhi tree sapling containing the Mahayana Bodhicitta Sutra appeared directly in the inner space and took root on a real immortal mountain.
Han Yun then mobilized the energy from his inner vision as fertilizer and the essence of his nature as water to irrigate it. At the same time, Han Yun sat cross-legged beside the Bodhi sapling.
Its own nature merges with the Bodhi tree.
This tree trunk is the root of Han Yun's troubles.
The Bodhi sapling swayed gently, scattering golden light. Han Yun closed his eyes and concentrated, carefully comprehending the profound meaning of the Mahayana Bodhicitta Sutra.
Suddenly, the roots of the Bodhi sapling spread out, and its branches and leaves became more and more lush. In the blink of an eye, it grew into a towering tree.
Dense Sanskrit characters appeared on the tree trunk, shimmering with a faint golden light, connecting with the heaven and earth of the interior space.
Han Yun felt a sudden dizziness, as if he had been pulled into a strange scene.
Here lies only endless emptiness, and within that emptiness float countless tiny specks of light. Each speck of light represents a memory, an emotion.
Suddenly, the points of light began to converge, gradually forming a series of images.
There's the weariness of his student days in his past life, the mental strain of writing as an adult, and the struggle for better grades in this life... He fights against others, constantly visits others, obtains the Dao of Alchemy at Qingxu Mountain, and experiences the ruthless killing in the Ming Dynasty world...
Joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness all surfaced.
On the Bodhi tree where Han Yun sat cross-legged, the branches and leaves began to be tinged with iridescent colors.
Han Yun had a sudden thought and tried to touch one of the Bodhi leaves.
In an instant, that memory surged back like a tide, incredibly clear. He could even feel every emotion he had at that time, as if he were reliving it all.
"I see. The first level of the Mahayana Bodhicitta Sutra is to require practitioners to face their own hearts and understand their true nature. The construction of the world of thoughts also needs to be based on the practitioner's real memories." Han Yun seemed to understand.
Within the interior space, spiritual roots are planted.
The Bodhi tree is closely connected to the interior space, just like the World Tree, with its network of roots tightly wrapping the entire interior space.
Han Yun slowly opened his eyes and saw that the originally illusory Bodhi tree had become substantial under the refinement of the inner energy, displaying the unique golden color of the inner energy, but also with five-colored rays of light.
The Mahayana Bodhicitta Sutra, First Stage Completed!
Han Yun glanced at the Immortal Capital Dao Palace in the current inner space, without lingering, and with a thought, shattered it into nothingness once more, transforming it into the purest golden world.
Only the Bodhi tree, Han Yun, the Five Dragons, and the Golden Lion remain.
All phenomena arise from dependent origination and are empty of inherent existence; all things are impermanent; all forms are illusory. If one sees all forms as non-forms, then one sees the Tathagata.
The second level, recognizing emptiness and delusion, and seeing through the illusions of the mortal world, was as simple as eating and drinking for Han Yun. All the scenes in the inner world were illusions, and there was nothing for Han Yun to miss in the world of Under One Person.
In his previous life, he was also free from all attachments and hindrances in the real world. He had no home, so why would he become a monk?
Since everything is inherently empty, why seek the emptiness of the four elements?
The difficulty of this second layer lies in the fact that people are born with all sorts of obsessions. Some people, after shaping their mental world, get lost in it and keep repeating the scenes they desire, as if they are trapped in an inner world.
Having been immersed in the inner space for so long, Han Yun was already familiar with this ability to manipulate everything.
In addition, he already possessed the Daoist alchemy, had a clear mind and nature, and was naturally free and at ease. He had no place to linger amidst the various worldly splendors.
Therefore, the second layer was naturally easy for Han Yun to understand.
At the same time, the Bodhi tree shines brightly, and its leaves fall, manifesting countless worlds within the inner landscape space.
These worlds are all created from a single thought.
There are thousands of different aspects of life, derived from fantasies from various periods of life and experiences, as well as stories that one has read.
In youth, one might fantasize about wielding absolute power and being surrounded by beautiful women; while reading, one might immerse oneself in the story, imagining oneself as a god or demon, capable of cleaving mountains and seas with a single sword stroke…
These are all kinds of delusions. Although they are nameless, they arise from the mind. When the mind moves, thoughts are formed, and when thoughts are formed, the world is complete.
The Buddha created three thousand worlds with a single thought.
One flower one world, one leaf one bodhi.
The fifth volume of the *Mahayana Cessation and Contemplation* states: "The mind contains the ten realms of existence, and each realm contains the ten realms of existence, making a hundred realms of existence. Each realm contains thirty kinds of worlds, and the hundred realms of existence contain three thousand kinds of worlds. These three thousand kinds of worlds are contained in a single thought. If there is no thought, there is nothing; if there is a thought, then the three thousand kinds of worlds are contained."
When the mind is deluded, it contains the three thousand dharmas and clings to them; when the mind is enlightened, it also contains the three thousand dharmas, but it does not cling to them, but regards them as expedient means and inherent virtues.
The "one thought encompassing three thousand realms" refers to a single thought of ignorance, afflictions, or a fleeting moment of consciousness. Although this thought is a deluded mind, it shares the same origin and essence as the true mind. It requires the practice of stillness and insight to guide it back from delusion to truth.
The explanation of a single thought is that it is the mind that arises from the interaction of the senses and their objects in a single instant. Whether it is clouded or deluded, whether it is good or evil, it contains the three thousand realms and is the same as the three truths.
The third level of the Mahayana Bodhicitta Sutra is about using the false to cultivate the true. Han Yun needs to enter this world and the mortal realm to temper himself, experience the myriad aspects of sentient beings, and gain compassion for suffering.
Han Yun gazed at the countless points of light that appeared in the interior space. Each one seemed real yet illusory, evolving into various scenes and containing different stories and lives.
He took a deep breath, separated a wisp of his mind, and focused it directly into one of the points of light.
In his first life, when Han Yun opened his eyes, he found himself wearing a dragon robe, sitting high on the throne in the Golden Palace. Civil and military officials knelt on the ground, shouting "Long live the Emperor!" He had three thousand beauties in his harem, and all the wealth of the world was his.
He enjoyed all the riches and honors, living a life of debauchery and decadence.
At first, he was captivated by the thrill of power. But gradually, he discovered the treachery and intrigue within the court and the power struggles within the harem. Even with supreme power, he felt increasingly empty inside.
Ultimately, he was betrayed by his confidants in a coup and died under a hail of knives.
In his second life, Han Yun became a swordsman.
He possessed extraordinary talent; with a single stroke of his sword, the landscape would change color. He challenged masters from all over the world and never suffered a defeat. People in the martial arts world trembled at his name, calling him the "Sword Demon."
However, as his swordsmanship became increasingly profound, he felt increasingly lonely. No one could understand his level of mastery, and no one could discuss swordsmanship with him. In the end, he stood atop the mountain, gazing at the vast sea of clouds, finding silence in himself and his sword.
In his third life, Han Yun was just an ordinary person.
He worked from sunrise to sunset, married and had children, living a simple life. There were no earth-shattering stories, only the mundane details of daily life.
He found life dull, but gradually, he felt warmth in his wife's smiles and his children's growth. In his later years, lying in a rocking chair, watching the sunset, his heart was filled with peace.
The world is vast and complex, a world of countless beings.
Han Yun has experienced countless lives, some rich, some poor, some glorious, some ordinary. Each experience in every world has made his mind more insightful.
In the instant the world shattered, the light of the world transformed into a withered Bodhi leaf, falling beneath the Bodhi tree and becoming nourishment. At the same time, a new Bodhi leaf sprouted.
The difference is that the newly grown Bodhi leaves have a golden, glazed color.
The Bodhi tree serves as an anchor for Han Yun's memories of reality, preventing him from getting lost in the experiences of the three thousand worlds and allowing him to absorb those experiences as nourishment.
As a sword demon, he possessed decades of swordsmanship experience; as a Buddha, he sought enlightenment and truth; as a Taoist, he burned thatch and forged cauldrons; as an emperor, he employed political intrigue and cunning…
Under the Bodhi tree, Han Yun slowly opened his eyes.
His eyes were deep and steady, yet clear as a mountain spring. The experiences of the three thousand worlds had nourished his mind and character.
Three thousand worlds, three thousand reincarnations, a grand dream of spring and autumn, using the false to cultivate the true.
This method is not limited to one use. Whenever Han Yun wants to use it, he can conjure up the Three Thousand Worlds again to help him grow.
The so-called merit that transcends the void and quickly attains Buddhahood and wisdom comes from this.
With a single thought, one can traverse three thousand worlds. Compared to other Buddhist practitioners, how could this not be faster?
The difference between the two is like the difference between a snail and an airplane.
Han Yun looked at the newly grown Bodhi tree and saw its golden veins and crystal leaves emitting boundless wisdom and light, and producing all kinds of incredible light.
Within the three thousand Bodhi leaves, three thousand worlds rise and fall in uncertainty.
Han Yun laughed and said, "When I become a Buddha, all three thousand worlds will become Buddha-lands!"
Suddenly, the scene within the Bodhi leaf transformed into a world of countless Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Arhats, and others chanting sutras—truly a boundless Buddha-land.
With a thought, Han Yun restored the Three Thousand Worlds to their original state.
This is the fourth level: my liberation is the liberation of all beings, and the happiness of all beings is my happiness.
The three thousand worlds are me, and I am the three thousand worlds.
With another thought, Han Yun transformed the inner space from a golden world back into the appearance of the Immortal Capital Daoist Palace.
The inner refers to the heart; the scenery refers to the image.
External symbols refer to the images of the sun, moon, stars, and clouds; internal symbols refer to the images of flesh, bones, and internal organs.
The mind resides within the body, observing the appearance and color of the whole; hence it is called the inner landscape.
The inner landscape is the view of the mind, while the outer landscape is the view of heaven and earth.
By reflecting the external landscape from the internal perspective, and transforming a region into one's own control, that region can be called a Pure Land, a blessed land, or a celestial paradise...
Or perhaps:
Lingtai Fangcun Mountain, the slanting moon and the Samsung Cave!
A house of immortal immortals, a Taoist house with the same longevity as heaven.
However, Han Yun had already decided on its name: Jingyuan Mountain Blessed Land, Inner Court Palace Grotto Heaven.
Similar supernatural powers can be deduced from this, such as a universe within a sleeve or a Buddha kingdom in the palm of one's hand.
------
The martial arts world of the Ming Dynasty.
Above the East China Sea, amidst the clouds in the sky.
Han Yun stepped on golden clouds, and with a single thought, the various tangible scenes within his inner world began to appear in the real world.
Celestial palaces and magnificent halls, with glazed tiles and golden roofs, jade steps and towers, bathed in boundless rosy light. Pavilions and towers emerge from the void, with colorful auspicious clouds flowing between their carved beams and painted rafters.
Han Yun stood on the clouds, looking down at the gradually taking shape Jingyuan Mountain blessed land below.
The mountains rise one after another, with cascading springs and waterfalls. Rare flowers and exotic herbs bloom among the mountains, and cranes and deer frolic in the forest. The entire blessed land is centered around a Bodhi tree, its roots penetrating deep into the earth, its branches and leaves blocking out the sky and radiating golden light of wisdom.
With a slight thought, five dragons rose from the depths of the blessed land, circling the mountains. The golden lion guarded the mountain gate, majestic and awe-inspiring. Beneath the Bodhi tree, the light and shadow of the three thousand worlds appeared and disappeared, evolving with endless mysteries.
The fifth level of the Mahayana Bodhicitta Sutra is now complete!
A moment later, Han Yun put it away.
Riding on golden clouds, we entered the Kunlun Mountains.
When he came to Kunlun Mountain to search for the Nine Yang Divine Skill, he discovered a peach tree that grew on the Kunlun Feng Shui dragon vein, which could be considered a rare and unusual tree.
However, the inner space was only formed by the energy of the inner space before, so Han Yun did not touch it. Now that he has come all this way, he should take something back with him.
Han Yun rode a golden cloud to Kunlun, where he saw majestic mountains covered in snow, with the aura of a dragon vein faintly visible amidst the swirling clouds and mist. Following the directions in his memory, he quickly found the peach tree rooted on the dragon vein.
This tree is no more than three zhang tall, its trunk twisted like a dragon, and its bark a dark golden color. Dozens of fist-sized peaches, each with purple veins, grow among its branches and leaves, plump and juicy.
This peach tree has absorbed the essence of the Kunlun dragon vein for hundreds of years, and is no ordinary tree.
With a thought, Han Yun uprooted it.
Inside the interior space, Han Yun planted a peach tree next to a bodhi tree. The two spiritual roots resonated with each other; the bodhi tree cast golden light to nourish the peach tree, while the peach tree, in turn, nourished the space with the earth's energy from the dragon vein.
The five dragons frolicked around the two trees, while the golden lion lay dozing under the tree.
Han Yun picked up a peach and tasted it carefully. It was indeed exceptionally delicious and had a wonderful nourishing effect on the body.
Looking at the peach tree, he inexplicably thought, "It seems we're lacking someone to take care of it? Should I find a monkey that has become a spirit?"
He then shook his head.
Just then, the interior space suddenly transmitted a message to him.
Because of the growth of his inner world, he has two opportunities each month to connect to other worlds. This month, the number of world connections has been refreshed, and he has two more opportunities. Should he use them?
Han Yun was overjoyed. He hadn't expected that the inner space would have such wonderful uses after it grew. Didn't that mean that as the inner space continued to grow, there would be more and more passages to the world that could be opened?
Previously, Han Yun was troubled by the scarcity of worlds with spatial connections, but now the problem has been solved.
"use!"
Han Yun murmured, "Let me see how my luck will be this time!"
