Chapter 242 The Dragon's Leap Technique, Company Meeting

Chapter 242 The Dragon's Leap Technique, Company Meeting

On the Nadutong chartered plane to Beijing.

Han Yun looked at the clouds outside the window. There were two wooden boxes lying in front of his knees, one long and one short, carved with cloud and dragon patterns. They were very exquisite, but what was most noteworthy were the items inside.

Inside the long wooden box was none other than the female sword among the three or five demon-slaying swords. This sword was shaped like raw bronze, with a five-sectioned hilt and the blade faintly engraved with secret runes and the sun, moon and stars. It weighed eighty-one taels.

Most remarkably, its blade faintly exudes a certain profound and solid Daoist aura, much like the dragon energy of the earth's veins.

This sword was once integrated into the earth vein cage of the Ghost-Breaking Well by the Celestial Master Zhang Daoling, forming a suppression restriction. Some of the sealing talismans in that earth vein were transformed from the sword body.

If any ghost attempts to cross the well, it will combine with the earth's energy to transform into invisible sword energy, condensing into a sword net that will injure and shatter the soul, suppressing all ghosts from escaping.

Over time, the female sword, which had merged with the earth's veins, was gradually assimilated by the earth's veins and became a special part of them.

However, after the Yanfu Cave Heaven beneath the Ghost-Slaying Well was transformed into the Qingcheng Blessed Land, this sword completely lost its function.

Afterwards, Han Yun used a secret method to extract the sword from the earth's veins. His original intention was to give it to Zhang Xiaolian for safekeeping. However, after Zhang Xiaolian reported the matter of the Ghost-Breaking Well to the Celestial Master's Mansion of Longhu Mountain, the ancestral home of the Zhengyi sect, Zhang Zhiwei directly made the decision to give the female sword to Han Yun.

Han Yun was very surprised by this. He was originally determined not to accept it, after all, this was a treasure passed down by the Celestial Master's Mansion. What would it mean if he took it?

However, Zhang Zhiwei said that Han Yun was already the founder of the Lingbao School, and had also received the teachings of many masters such as Lu Zu and Chen Tuan. He could be said to be the founder revered by all of them in Taoism.

How could a patriarch be without some decent magical treasures by his side?

This can actually be seen as Zhang Zhiwei's way of showing goodwill to Han Yun. The most important point is that Zhang Zhiwei doesn't care about so-called magic treasures at all. His own life and cultivation are the foundation, and magic treasures are ultimately just external things.

For Zhang Zhiwei, the Three-Five Male and Female Demon-Slaying Swords are more like a symbol of his identity.

The power of a magical artifact depends on who wields it. In the hands of Celestial Master Zhang Daoling, it is a divine weapon to subdue the Demon King of Ten Thousand Ghosts, but in the hands of an ordinary person, it is at most an antique.

Zhang Zhiwei believed that in Han Yun's hands, this female sword would play a greater role.

Han Yun today is like Su Qin, who once held the seals of six states at his waist.

Su Qin said, "If I had two acres of land outside Luoyang, how could I wear the seals of prime minister of six states?"

Now Han Yun can also say, if I could have continued competing, how could I be the patriarch of the Daoist Temple today?
Han Yun opened the wooden box, gently stroking the sword blade with his fingers. The sword emitted a deep and simple hum, like a dragon's roar. This sword had been tempered by the earth's veins for over two thousand years, and its quality had surpassed that of a magic weapon.

There were even faint signs of spiritual connection; if one gave it a little push, one could obtain a magical artifact.

The secret runes on the surface of this sword originally had the functions of slaying evil spirits, summoning thunder and lightning, etc. Now, due to the earth's veins and dragon energy, it has also gained the effects of splitting the earth and opening up new territories, whipping mountains and moving stones. It can be said to be a treasure that connects heaven and earth.

Then, Han Yun's gaze shifted to another wooden box, inside which was a book made of brocade with gold thread.

This is the secret text of Qingcheng Mountain, which was unexpectedly obtained by Celestial Master Zhang Daoling when he visited Qingcheng Mountain. Of course, this is not the original book.

The book records the Dragon Leap Technique.

The author of this book is Qingcheng Zhangren, also known as Ning Fengzi or Longqiao Zhenren. He was the Tao Zheng during the time of the Yellow Emperor, an official in charge of all matters related to pottery making.

This man became a disciple of the ancient immortal Chisongzi, received his true teachings, and after ascending to immortality, resided in Qingcheng Mountain in Shu. Later, he bestowed upon the Yellow Emperor a celestial book called the "Dragon Leap Scripture," which enabled the Yellow Emperor to ride on cloud dragons to travel to the eight extremes and ascend to heaven on a dragon.

Taoism reveres him as the Five Sacred Mountains Father-in-Law, the Nine Heavens Green City Father-in-Law, the Zhuling Heavenly Venerable of Deliverance, and the Southern Pole Zhuling Dantian Emperor, etc. He resides in Nanchang Palace and is the master of Taoist soul-refining and soul-transferring.

Together with the Supreme Divine Firmament Jade Pure True King Longevity Emperor, the Eastern Extreme Azure Flower Emperor Taiyi Salvation Heavenly Venerable, the Nine Heavens Responding to the Origin Thunder Sound Universal Transformation Heavenly Venerable, the Nine Heavens Thunder Ancestor Emperor Disaster Relief and Benefiting Heavenly Venerable, the Supreme Pure Purple Jade Palace Taiyi Great Heavenly Emperor, the Six Heavens Cave Abyss Emperor, the Six Waves Heavenly Lord Emperor, and the Nine Heavens Investigating True Lord, they are collectively known as the Nine Celestial Firmaments of the Divine Firmament.

It is the primordial nine energies that give birth to all things, acting on behalf of Heaven to govern creation and rule over all spirits.

Of course, the reality always differs from myths and legends, but the Dragon Leap Technique is a real phenomenon.

It describes how to gather and refine cloud qi through primordial qi, condense a dragon shape, split the soul, and reside in the dragon's body, etc.

Similar to the method of material transformation, yet also reminiscent of weapon crafting, the number of protective celestial dragons that can be crafted, and their power, are directly related to the strength of the cloud qi and the intensity of the soul.

The Records of the Grand Historian, Book of Feng and Shan, states: "The Yellow Emperor collected copper from Shou Mountain and cast a tripod at the foot of Jing Mountain. When the tripod was completed, a dragon with a long beard descended to greet the Yellow Emperor. The Yellow Emperor mounted the dragon, and more than seventy of his ministers and concubines followed him. Then the dragon ascended to the heavens."

The Book of Changes (Zhouyi) states in the Qian hexagram: "During the time of the Yellow Emperor, he rode six dragons to govern the heavens."

At its peak, the Yellow Emperor cultivated six heavenly dragons to protect his body. Of course, the Yellow Emperor certainly practiced more than just this one method. The famous Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic is itself a fundamental tradition for dual cultivation and consolidating one's life force.

This technique is more like a means of self-defense.

The six dragons are also connected to the six qi, which are the core concepts in the theory of qi and blood circulation in traditional Chinese medicine, describing the operation of climate. They include six elements: wind, cold, heat, dampness, dryness, and fire.

Its theoretical system is essentially related to the Three Yin and Three Yang, namely Jueyin, Shaoyin, Taiyin, Shaoyang, Yangming, and Taiyang, as well as the Five Elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water.

According to the *Neijing* (Inner Canon):
The Yellow Emperor asked, “I know that the five elements interact and alternate between waxing and waning. But what about the six elements that govern the heavens and earth? How do they govern each other?”

Qi Bo said: "When Jueyin governs the sky, its transformation is wind; when Shaoyin governs the sky, its transformation is heat; when Taiyin governs the sky, its transformation is dampness; when Shaoyang governs the sky, its transformation is fire; when Yangming governs the sky, its transformation is dryness; when Taiyang governs the sky, its transformation is cold."

Wind corresponds to wood, heat and fire correspond to fire, dampness corresponds to earth, dryness corresponds to metal, and cold corresponds to water.

The six qi are divided into six periods throughout the year according to the five elements' mutual generation law, each period lasting sixty days. This forms an overlay model of the fixed cycle of the main qi and the annual variation of the guest qi, which is used to analyze normal and abnormal climate changes.

As time flows by, the six elements alternate, creating the changing seasons and the flourishing and withering of all things, which in turn have various effects on the human body.

If one rides the right course of Heaven and Earth and controls the changes of the six qi, then when the six qi return to their proper order, one will be secure and stable, and thus nourish one's own life force. This is similar to Wang Ye's Feng Hou Qi Men, where the seventy-two pentads return to their proper order, transforming oneself into a king.

It can be said that this is also a rare and precious ancient secret.

This was also an expression of gratitude from the Celestial Master's Mansion to Han Yun for lifting the ban on the Ghost Well. In short, the gift was very generous, and Zhang Zhiwei's attitude of being on good terms with Han Yun was very clear.

-----

Han Yun finally arrived in Beijing.

The top-floor conference room of NaDuTong's Beijing headquarters. Besides the directors of NaDuTong, all ten elders were present. This was a meeting concerning the entire Chinese supernatural community. The atmosphere was so heavy it seemed almost palpable.

On one side of the long conference table sat the board members of Nadutong, led by Zhao Fangxu, while on the other side were the representatives of the Ten Elders, who are currently very influential in the world of supernatural beings.

Feng Zhenghao, Na Ruhu, Chen Jinkui, Guan Shihua, Master Jiekong, Mu You, Lü Ci, Wang Ai, Lu Jin, and the old Celestial Master Zhang Zhiwei—almost everyone who could come was there.

Zhao Fangxu adjusted his glasses, surveyed the room, and began in a calm voice: "Ladies and gentlemen, the situation is urgent, so I'll skip the formalities. Please let Chairman Han introduce the specifics of this trip to Sichuan, and the...potential threats we face."

All eyes immediately focused on Han Yun. He sat beside Zhao Fangxu, his expression calm, as if he had just returned from a picnic.

Han Yun nodded slightly and concisely recounted the unusual activity at the Ghost-Dispelling Well in Qingcheng Mountain, the discovery of the infiltration of the Japanese supernatural organization "Takamagahara," the destruction of its leyline nodes, and the slaying of the god lord Ashiyajima Yoshi.

However, Han Yun did not mention his journey deep into the ghost realm, purifying the eight hundred miles of vengeful spirits and transforming it into the "Qingcheng Blessed Land".

He didn't exaggerate the danger of the process, his tone as calm as if he were giving a work report. But the information he conveyed was like a series of bombshells, exploding in the conference room.

"...In conclusion, the 'Takamagahara' organization has a tight structure, headed by the 'Grand Master' and under him are the 'Twelve Divine Lords'. Its goal is definitely not just to release the ten thousand demons of the Demon-Slaying Well."

"Based on current intelligence, they are likely searching for and attempting to destroy other similar ancient sealed sites within the Divine Continent, intending to gather Yin and evil Qi to complete some kind of ultimate ritual. The harm they cause is immeasurable."

There was dead silence in the conference room.

Although the Ghost Well's infamous reputation was kept secret, the ten elders present had vaguely heard of it.

And that "Takamagahara" actually dared to plot to release the myriad demons in the Demon-Slaying Well, and even wanted to take over other sealed places.

"Amitabha."

Master Jiekong broke the silence first, clasped his hands together, and looked on with compassion, "Benefactor Han has performed immeasurable merits, but this 'Takamagahara'... his heart is despicable!"

"Fuck you! You little bastard!"

Lu Jin slammed his hand on the table, causing several cracks to appear on the solid wood surface. His eyes widened in anger. "You've already set your sights on the Ghost-Dispelling Well, and you want to do something even bigger? Do you really think there's no one left in China?!"

Feng Zhenghao adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses, his gaze sharp behind the lenses: "Chairman Han, do you have any more specific information about the twelve Divine Lords of 'Takamagahara' and their possible targets?"

"From Ashiyajima Yoshi's fragmented memories, we know that the twelve main gods belong to different ancient schools of Japanese martial arts, such as Onmyoji, ninjas, shrine maidens, monks, and yokai."

"They don't seem to know each other's true identities and are only responsible to the 'Grand Master.' They didn't mention much about their next target," Han Yun replied.

Lu Ci snorted coldly, his sinister gaze sweeping over everyone: "Who cares who the target is! Now that we know these rats exist, are we just going to sit and wait for them to come and destroy things one by one? In my opinion, we should take the initiative!"

"Why can they come into our land, but we can't fight back?"

"If you ask me, we should..."

Although Lü Ci is ruthless and prioritizes family interests, he deeply hates the Japanese. If it comes to killing them, Lü Ci will show absolutely no mercy.

In fact, among the Ten Elders present, apart from the younger generation who may not have experienced that era, Zhang Zhiwei, Lu Jin, Guan Shihua, Lü Ci, and even Wang Ai all have a lot of Japanese blood on their hands.

When the land of China was ravaged, the entire world of superhumans rose up in resistance, and the conflict with Japan was one of life and death. At least on matters of principle, the world of superhumans never made a mistake.

"Cough cough!"

Wang Ai coughed, leaning on his cane, and said slowly, "Brother Lü, please calm down. Taking the initiative is easier said than done."

“We still know too little about this organization. How can we accurately identify them in such a vast sea of people? Moreover, cross-border operations involve too many complexities.”

Guan Shihua said in a deep voice, "Although what Fatty Wang said is unpleasant to hear, it makes sense. The most urgent task is to strengthen internal monitoring and defense. Each sect and faction should re-examine the ancient seals and ruins within their own sphere of influence and send more people."

"On the company side, the intelligence network must also be fully operational."

Zhao Fangxu nodded: "Sister Guan is absolutely right. The company has already issued an internal emergency mobilization order, and all major regions have raised their alert levels."

"At the same time, we will communicate with international organizations managing extraordinary individuals to a limited extent and exert pressure. But most importantly, we must rely on ourselves."

He looked at Han Yun, his tone questioning: "Chairman Han, you mentioned earlier that you wanted to take this opportunity to promote some... changes? Why don't you tell everyone about them!"

Upon hearing this, all eyes turned to Han Yun once again.

The ten elders had different expressions. They all vaguely sensed that the purpose of this newly appointed director's gathering was not simply to report a crisis.

Han Yun slowly stood up, his gaze calmly sweeping over each of the Ten Elders present. His gaze was not sharp, but it gave people a sense of insight, causing everyone to subconsciously straighten their backs.

"Everyone."

Han Yun spoke, his voice not loud, but clearly reaching everyone's ears: "The threat from Takamagahara is an external threat. But external threats can only pose a threat because we have internal problems."

"The world of supernatural beings has a history of thousands of years, with numerous sects, each with its own traditions, which is a good thing. However, if we overemphasize sectarianism, fight each other, and even engage in endless internal strife, we will fall apart when facing real external enemies."

"If I hadn't happened to be there at the time, the consequences of the Ghost-Banning Well would have been unimaginable. And how many similar hidden dangers exist across the land of China?"

"Can we hold out by relying solely on Na Du Tong, or just one or two sects?"

His words pierced the hearts of everyone present like awls. Which of the Ten Elders present wasn't a powerful figure, a man of profound wisdom? Han Yun's words directly pointed out the biggest problem facing the world of supernatural beings for thousands of years.

"What does Chairman Han mean?" Feng Zhenghao asked tentatively.

"I hope to take this opportunity to establish a higher-level, regular coordination and linkage mechanism."

Han Yun stated clearly: "I do not require the various factions to merge, nor do I require them to relinquish their lineages. But at least on major events concerning the safety of the Central Plains, the various factions must set aside past grievances, share information, unite their forces, and stand together against external threats."
