Chapter 156 Three Chariots

Qinling Mountains, the Twenty-Four Heavenly Valleys.

The general terrain of this place is shaped like a human body to form a Qi (vital energy) pattern.

This naturally makes things more complicated, and a slight oversight can lead to unpredictable consequences.

Just like the hour, minute, and second hands on a clock.

If the second hand of a person goes astray even slightly, a time deviation will occur, causing errors in the microcosm of Qi. In order to maintain its own stability, Qi will naturally make some corrections.

How do we fix it?

The simplest and quickest way, of course, is to snap the second hand of the person!
Therefore, this place is extremely dangerous for living beings.

But there was one sage who carved patterns in the stone and created a "method route" for the Qi of heaven and earth in the Qi formation!
This person is: Master Ziyang, Zhang Boduan!

These stone patterns can actually be seen as the meridians of the "person" Qi Ju. They are also the pathways through which the innate Qi circulates within the "person" Qi Ju's body.

He cleverly utilized the terrain of the Twenty-Four Tongtian Valley, which corresponds to the twenty-four vertebrae of the human body, with each vertebra corresponding to a solar term.

Spring goes and autumn comes, summer passes and winter begins. Heaven and earth interact, and the Qi between heaven and earth rises and falls, constantly cycling and repeating. This change is the mechanism of movement and stillness, the meeting of Yin and Yang!
This aligns perfectly with the microcosmic orbit in human cultivation!

The Small Heavenly Circuit refers to the circulation of primordial Qi along the Ren and Du meridians within the body.

The internal energy originates from the lower dantian, passes through the perineum, the anus, along the Du meridian of the spine, through the three gates of the coccyx, the spine, and the jade pillow, to the Niwan point on the top of the head, then splits down from the cheeks and meets at the tip of the tongue, connecting with the Ren meridian, and then descends along the center of the chest and abdomen back to the dantian.

In other words, the Qi of Heaven and Earth, which symbolizes "Primordial Qi" in the Twenty-Four Heavenly Valleys, can circulate repeatedly to form a perfect closed loop.

It can both initiate and dissipate the power.

An ordinary person can feel the primordial Qi circulating throughout their body after walking around Tongtian Valley. Afterward, this Qi will dissipate, which is beneficial and harmless to the human body.

Those stone patterns can guide the flow of vital energy of living beings, helping to overcome the three major obstacles when opening the Du meridian, and are also the method of the Three Chariots Force.

In Chapter 44 of Journey to the West, "The Dharma Body's Circumstances Meet the Power of the Cart, the Righteous Heart Crosses the Ridge Pass," Sun Wukong explores the Chechi Kingdom and discovers five hundred monks being driven by three demonic Taoists to pull a cart.

The original text describes it like this: The traveler gradually descended from the clouds to look around, and oh! The cart was loaded with bricks, tiles, wood, and adobe; the highest slope on the beach was a narrow path with two large passes, and the roads below the passes were steep cliffs. How could the cart possibly be pulled up there?

The Great Sage went straight to the beach, used his superhuman strength to pull the chariot over two passes, through the narrow ridge, lifted it up, and smashed it to pieces.

Bricks and tiles are used to build tall buildings. Cultivation is like building a tall building. It requires steady steps and a solid foundation. It also requires continuous operation. Only over a long period of time can one achieve something.

This vividly illustrates the content of the Three-Cart Power Cultivation and details the key points to pay attention to when circulating the Primordial Qi.

The so-called three carts refer to the sheep cart, the deer cart, and the tiger cart, which are metaphors for the three stages of internal cultivation.

The flow of Qi from the coccyx to the spinal cord should be slow and gentle, like a sheep pulling a cart, hence the name "sheep cart"; from the spinal cord to the occipital bone, it should be swift and rapid, like a deer pulling a cart, hence the name "deer cart"; from the occipital bone to the dantian, it should be powerful and forceful, like a tiger pulling a cart, hence the name "tiger cart".

Unfortunately, this once perfect place for cultivation and pilgrimage was arbitrarily altered by Wugensheng, who abruptly severed the cycle of Qi circulation. Wugensheng's modifications caused ordinary people to sense Qi, which was then sealed within their bodies. As time passed, this Qi could not dissipate, leading to qi deviation and demonic possession.

What a wanton and reckless Quanxing!

At this moment, Han Yun was walking on the forest path covered with stone patterns. Although he felt a little uncomfortable, with the inheritance of the Void King Buddha, everything was empty, and Han Yun could completely ignore these effects.

Han Yun gently stroked the stone's texture with his fingers, and couldn't help but sigh inwardly.

It's truly infuriating that someone like Wugensheng, who is so ignorant and arrogant, ruined what our predecessors left behind.

Just then, a light drizzle began to fall from the sky, like clouds and mist, like mountain haze.

It is said that spring rain is as precious as oil, but for the animals in the forest, it is not a good thing.

Several golden monkeys darted past Han Yun, chattering away, their golden fur covered in water droplets.

The Qinling golden snub-nosed monkey is a subspecies of the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkey, but it is a true "golden" monkey.

Among all golden snub-nosed monkeys, the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkeys distributed in Shennongjia have reddish fur, the Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkeys have grayish fur, and only the golden snub-nosed monkeys in the Qinling Mountains have true golden fur.

They swung back and forth on the high branches, their fine, soft golden fur shimmering in the iridescent light of the morning sun and mist.

It has a somewhat fantastical feel to it, like trying to catch the clouds and mist.

Just then, a small golden monkey carrying a large leaf walked up to Han Yun and looked him over curiously.

Seeing that Han Yun was not covering himself, she handed him the leaf.

"For me?"

Han Yun raised his hand in a gesture.

The monkey nodded repeatedly.

Han Yun stepped forward, took the leaf, patted the monkey's head, and laughed, "You're quite intelligent, you have some cleverness!"

Influenced by the stone patterns within the Twenty-Four Heavenly Valley, these monkeys have transformed into beings that are half-spirits and half-monsters.

Immediately, Han Yun produced a peach and tossed it to the creature, saying, "Here you go!"

The monkey, quick as a flash, caught the peach, brought it to its nose and sniffed it. Its eyes lit up, and it squeaked excitedly twice before leaping up the treetop with the peach in its hands.

Seeing this, the other golden monkeys gathered around, staring longingly at the peach in its hand, some even reaching out their paws to snatch it.

The little monkey was very clever; it devoured the peach in just a few bites, leaving not even the pit. It licked its paws, seemingly unsatisfied, then turned to look at Han Yun, its eyes full of anticipation.

Seeing this, Han Yun couldn't help but laugh: "You little monkey, you're quite greedy."

After saying that, he took out a few peaches from his inner space and casually tossed them to the monkey troop.

The monkeys immediately cheered and scrambled to grab the spirit fruit. For a moment, the branches swayed and golden fur flew, creating quite a lively scene.
