Under One Person: My Inner Realm Connects to All Worlds!

Chapter 133 The Ancestral Temple of Quanzhen

Chapter 133 The Ancestral Temple of Quanzhen
Under One Person World, Zhongnan Mountain.

This place is also known as Taiyi Mountain or Difei Mountain, or simply Nanshan. The "Nanshan" in the saying "May your fortune be as vast as the Eastern Sea and your longevity as enduring as Nanshan" refers to this place.

The mountain range originates from Kunlun and ends at Songyue, stretching across the southern part of Guanzhong, from Qinlong in the west to Lantian in the east, a distance of eight hundred li. The ancients said that among the great mountains, apart from Taihang, none is greater than Zhongnan.

It is known as the "City of Immortals," the "Crown of Grotto-heavens," and the "Number One Blessed Land Under Heaven."

Zhongnan Mountain is also one of the birthplaces of Taoism.

As everyone knows, Chongyang Palace in Zhongnan Mountain is the ancestral home of the Quanzhen School of Taoism. However, after reviewing the company's information, Han Yun learned that there was actually a hidden sect in Zhongnan Mountain called Louguan Taoism!

During the reign of King Kang of Zhou, Yin Xi served as a high official and later as a guest of the Eastern Palace. He built a thatched hut, where he observed the phenomena of heaven and earth, and devoted himself to seeking the Dao of immortality. He named it Louguan.

One day, he saw a purple aura in the east and auspicious signs in the west, which foretold that a sage was about to emerge from the pass, and he asked to be appointed as the gatekeeper of Hangu Pass.

He met Laozi, became his disciple, and asked for the ultimate truth. Laozi then wrote the five thousand words of the "Tao" and "De" and gave them to Yin Xi. Yin Xi was overjoyed and eagerly recited them, and practiced the Tao to achieve enlightenment.

From then on, Louguan became the birthplace of Taoist temples throughout the world.

This lineage has a history of thousands of years, even longer than the Celestial Master's Mansion, but it is little known to outsiders.

Yin Xi is a very interesting person. He was not only the founder of Louguan Taoism, but also the founder of the Wenshi School.

Among the various schools of Daoist alchemy, the Chongyang School is the largest, while the Wenshi School is the most prestigious. Given the principle that highbrow art is rarely embraced, those who practiced the Wenshi School throughout history were naturally few and far between, and its lack of prominence is therefore understandable.

In terms of Taoist internal alchemy, the Wenshi School can be considered the highest school.

Most people think that the Wenshi School and the Louguandao School are the same sect, but this is not the case. The Louguandao School is the predecessor of the Wenshi School, but both have been passed down. However, the two have great differences in doctrine and tenets.

Louguan Taoism focuses on scriptures, while the Wenshi School focuses on internal alchemy.

The five patriarchs of the Wenshi School are: Yin Xi, Ma Yi Daoren, Chen Tuan, Huolong Zhenren, and Zhang Sanfeng.

Yin Xi was a disciple of Laozi and the founder of the Wenshi School. After attaining enlightenment, he was known as "Wenshi Zhenren".

Yin Xi transmitted his teachings to Li He, a Taoist priest in hemp clothing during the Eastern Jin Dynasty. He combined the Tao with the I Ching and developed a system of divination techniques, such as the Ma Yi Physiognomy. He can be considered the patriarch of a school of divination masters.

Chen Tuan was a recluse during the Five Dynasties period, who called himself "Fuyaozi". He cultivated the Hidden Dragon Technique and was also a master of sorcery. His Yang Shen Hidden Dragon traveled around the world freely and unrestrainedly, and later passed it on to the Fire Dragon Immortal.

The Fire Dragon Master cultivated the Fire Dragon Technique, his body becoming like a furnace, spewing fire energy from his mouth and nose. His Yang Spirit merged with the Dan Fire, transforming into the shape of a dragon. He rode the dragon and controlled the fire, displaying great majesty. In the end, he passed on his skills to Zhang Sanfeng.

Zhang Sanfeng was a Taoist priest in the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties. He called himself "Sanfengzi" and lived in seclusion in Wudang Mountain. He integrated the ideas of the Wenshi School and Quanzhen School to form the Hidden Immortal School system.

It can be said that this is almost a direct descendant of the same lineage.

Han Yun can actually be considered a member of the Wenshi School, since his Hidden Dragon Sleeping Elixir Skill was obtained from the patriarch Chen Tuan.

Han Yun came to Zhongnan Mountain mainly to search for Louguan Dao, but the people of Louguan Dao have always been elusive in the company's records.

Therefore, Han Yun had no choice but to settle for second best and first visit Chongyang Palace, the ancestral home of the Quanzhen School.

That said, Han Yun also received the inheritance of Lu Zu, so no matter where he went, Han Yun could be considered a "respectable" figure.

He could easily say: Standing before you is the founder of the Lingbao School, the founder of the Quanzhen School, the founder of the Wenshi School…

Regardless of the reasoning, you should just bow and pay your respects to me.

—————— Chongyang Palace.

The Zhongnan Mountains were shrouded in mist and clouds as Han Yun ascended the blue stone steps. The sound of pine trees rustling in the wind could be heard, and occasionally a crane's cry would soar across the sky.

"Fellow Daoist, this is a forbidden area of the Quanzhen Sect. Do you have a formal invitation?"

Two young cultivators dressed in dark blue Taoist robes blocked his way, their whisks held horizontally in their hands, but their eyes kept glancing at Han Yun.

Han Yun smiled slightly, showed the two the lightning-struck wooden plaque he had obtained from Daoist Qingwei, and said, "Please inform them that Han Yun has come to visit!"

Upon seeing the wooden plaque struck by lightning, the two young Taoist priests immediately became solemn. One of them quickly bowed and said, "So it's Senior Han! Our master instructed us that if you come to visit, you should be treated as an honored guest. Please follow me."

Han Yun nodded and followed the Taoist priest through the many palaces.

Inside Chongyang Palace, lanterns and decorations were everywhere, and cultivators dressed in various colored robes could be seen moving about. The air was filled with the faint scents of sandalwood and cinnabar.

"Is there any joyous occasion in the palace today?" Han Yun asked casually.

The Taoist priest respectfully replied, "Senior, your arrival is perfectly timed. Today happens to be the once-a-decade Dharma Assembly of our Quanzhen Sect. Disciples from the seven major branches, including Longmen and Huashan, have gathered at the ancestral temple to exchange and refine their Taoist practices."

Han Yun nodded knowingly.

As one of the two major schools of Taoism, the Quanzhen School was mainly founded by the Seven Masters of Quanzhen and their disciples, and has given rise to many branches.

Examples include the Longmen School, Huashan School, Yuxian School, Nanwu School, Suishan School, Yushan School, Qingjing School, and the Five Patriarchs School, all founded by the Seven Masters of Quanzhen.

Han Yun thought to himself, "It's true that timing is everything; I didn't expect to arrive just in time."

Just then, a burst of cheers suddenly came from ahead.

Han Yun looked in the direction of the sound and saw three high platforms erected in the center of the square. On one of the platforms, a young girl was fighting fiercely with her opponent.

The girl's short pink hair was particularly eye-catching in the sunlight, and her moves were powerful and vigorous. She was none other than Lu Linglong, the eldest daughter of the Lu family!
Han Yun was startled at first, then realized that Lu Linglong had already become a disciple of the Quanzhen Longmen Sect's Baiyun Temple to temper her character, and was therefore considered a Quanzhen disciple.

Han Yun stood on the periphery of the crowd, his gaze fixed on Lu Linglong.

She moved with agility, her fists and feet making a sound as if they were cutting through the air, clearly demonstrating that she had mastered the Quanzhen Dan Gong to a considerable degree, which showed her cultivation of life force.

She was fighting a burly young man whose moves were wide and powerful. Their fists and feet collided with a dull thud, and it was hard to believe that a little girl could have such strength.

"Junior Sister Lu's cultivation has improved again!" someone exclaimed from below the stage.

Han Yun smiled slightly, seeing them was like seeing the road he had come from, like people on the mountain looking at people climbing the mountain.

He then turned to leave, since these competitions seemed trivial and meaningless to him at the moment.

With the all-seeing eye of Heaven, one can see clearly that these disciples are still far from mastering the skills.

Suddenly, a commotion came from behind. Turning around, he saw a group of cultivators dressed in purple and gold Taoist robes walking slowly towards him. The leader was a man with white hair and a youthful face, holding a whisk. He was none other than Qingxuan Zhenren, the current leader of the Quanzhen Sect.

Everyone bowed in greeting, but Han Yun remained still, standing in the middle of the crowd, giving off a feeling of standing out from the crowd.

Master Qingxuan's gaze swept across the crowd, lingering briefly on Han Yun. A hint of surprise flashed in his eyes before he bowed and cupped his hands in greeting to Han Yun.
