Chapter 202 The Kunlun Calamity Ends, Cause and Effect Enter the Book

A massive sword fell from the sky, tearing through the void as the flowing dark wind swirled in all directions. All living beings who witnessed this sword instinctively assumed defensive postures, some dodging, others wailing.

The Taoist monk subconsciously activated the talisman and opened the altar.

Even the mountain gods and earth spirits turned pale, some burrowing into the ground, others using their supernatural powers to resist the impending terrifying aftershocks.

However, the sword, though powerful, seemed to leave no ripples after it struck, having no effect on anything in the mortal world. It simply embedded itself deeply into the body of the being that was both Buddha and demon.

Only those who deserve to be killed will be executed; the innocent will not be harmed in the slightest.

Those who commit crimes will be sentenced to death.

It is the Prefect.

Everything seemed to freeze. Under the watchful eyes of everyone, the flowing light on the sword slowly dissipated and subsided. The soaring Buddhist light, earth energy, demonic charm, and demonic energy all began to calm down, just like the natural cycle of life and death.

Xiweizi's white hair flew wildly as he watched the collision of the two colossal beings. No turbulent waves were stirred up; only complete stillness prevailed. Looking at the enormous Dharma body of the Lord of Mount Tai, he said:

"Is Grandmaster Zhou truly an envoy from the lineage of the Lord of Mount Tai?"

"This time, the Grand Ritual of Zhou Tian has actually attracted the personal presence of the Lord of Mount Tai."

Xiweizi was amazed by the power of this move, but also had some doubts: "However, I previously thought that Grandmaster Zhou Yan was the incarnation of the Lord of Mount Tai, but now he is deeply trapped in the core of that calamity. The Lord of Mount Tai has appeared in the world. Could it be that I was overthinking it?"

With a single sword strike, the enormous calamity that had plucked the Bodhi fruit and used the entire Zhongnan Mountain's veins as a spiderweb finally lost its vitality and slowly fell. As it fell, streaks of light, like shooting stars, scattered across its massive body and landed on the earth.

Xiweizi let out a long breath.

I knew in my heart that this matter was finally over.

However, such a big event is like a stone thrown into water; there will be no shortage of aftershocks. I just hope Zhou Yan is alright. But now that the Lord of Mount Tai has appeared, it will be quite difficult for Zhou Yan to get into trouble.

The immense calamity fell and vanished, and within the massive calamity, which was as large as a mountain, at its heart, Zhou Yan's Earth Soul Heaven-Shattering Staff pressed down, and the power of the Taishan Prefecture Lord began to dissipate.

The true form of the Lord of Mount Tai was just revealed by the power that Manjushri disintegrated after giving up his Bodhisattva status. Now, with this power, the life force of the ancient dragon species is extinguished. With Manjushri's life force gone, the power that supported the Lord of Mount Tai from within also disappears.

"finished?"

Zhou Yan stood there alone, sensing the two auras merge into one and then disappear. He felt exhausted, but also a little lost and melancholy. It was only after many preparations that the ancient demon Weaver Girl was finally killed.

But Zhou Yan's doubts and the world's mysteries were even greater than before—

"What do you mean by 'Kunlun Calamity prevents you from using your true form'? What do you mean by 'Great Qin God-Slaying Crossbow'? If Weaver Girl isn't one of the six figures who plundered the Mount Tai Fair Fruit, then what other purpose does this guy have in setting up backup plans everywhere?"

"As for this, I do know a little bit about it."

The sudden sound startled Zhou Yan. He jumped back, watching the wisps of golden light rise against the current, and then, as the golden light transformed into the shape of the monk Kongkong, he asked, "Are you alright?"

The monk Kongkong touched his head: "Ah, he's dead. But my soul is a little more resilient than that of ordinary people. So, ordinary people have a final burst of energy before death. The fact that he's talking to me now is probably his final burst of energy before death."

"I think you probably have a lot of questions to ask, and a wisp of your soul remains here."

Looking at the monk's simple-minded appearance, Zhou Yan's smile turned into melancholy. He said, "Never mind, you guys are more open-minded about life and death than I am. I just want to know what the so-called Kunlun Tribulation is?"

The monk Kongkong clasped his hands together and said, "The Kunlun Calamity has ended, and all the gods have perished."

"The world was torn apart. Back then, I was just sitting quietly in the temple and didn't like to go out. So when the matter came to me, it was too late. All I knew was that the Kunlun Mountain pantheon had perished."

"What did Fuxi do to prevent the aftermath of the Kunlun calamity from affecting the entire human world, and then protect the severely injured Nuwa, making Nuwa the only one among the ancient gods who did not split apart?"

Fuxi, Nuwa, Kunlun was destroyed, and the human world was restored.

The old monk continued, "Speaking of which, people in the human world have also changed. In ancient times, people lived to be over a hundred years old and their movements were still vigorous. Nowadays, people only have half the lifespan of those people."

Zhou Yan said, "Nuwa was the last being protected, but you're doing just fine, aren't you? You're just asleep."

The monk Kongkong smiled bitterly, scratched his bald head, and said, "To say we are asleep is just self-aggrandizement. We are all dead. However, ancient trees take a thousand years for spring and a thousand years for winter."

"Even if such a large tree dies, it will not completely lose its vitality."

"Like humans, the last breath before death; some people can last for about a day and a night, but the last breath a person struggles to take before death is the life of a mayfly; for us, death on the scale of time is not an instantaneous death."

"It is a long period of time after life has been cut off."

"This process is called death, and this time scale is very long for humans."

"I am actually dead, but not completely annihilated."

"Kunlun Kaiming should be the same. One of his heads was unwilling to perish and transformed into a peacock, while the rest went to Shu and transformed into the ancient Shu king [Emperor Kaiming]."

"These thousand years are the last breath of enlightenment's struggle."

“He is a great god of Kunlun, and his insight is much stronger than mine. He should know more. If you have the opportunity, you can go to Shu. He must not have perished so easily. He must have left something behind.”

Zhou Yan recorded all of this and said:
"You're saying that Nuwa was different from you?"

Clearly, even the usually simple-minded monk Kongkong had a hint of danger in his smile as he said, "Yes, Nuwa is the [True Body]. As for why, it's because during the Kunlun Calamity, Xi Huang used supreme means to separate the divine era and the human era at the [Conceptual] level."

Zhou Yan seemed to be thinking about something and said:

"In that case, Nuwa will be in a safe state."

The monk Kongkong nodded, his smile dangerous: "Yes."

"This also means that all the dangers and explosions of vital energy were locked in the Age of Gods by Fuxi, which led to the crisis faced by the Kunlun Mountain system being far beyond normal, resulting in the eventual decline of the Age of Gods."

Zhou Yan's lips twitched.

Normally, a calamity with a coverage area of one would occur. However, the Human Emperor Xi closed the door, protecting the Human Race and Nuwa, and even hung several locks, forcibly causing the calamity with a coverage area of one to erupt within one-third of the area, greatly increasing its destructive power.

Gods of Kunlun, we will turn our backs on all living beings, protect humanity, and face the great calamity head-on!
Why must we turn our backs on humanity and face this great calamity head-on? Don't ask.

However, the illusory figure of the monk Kongkong seemed somewhat confused and said:

"Theoretically, if his magic succeeds, then the human world should enter an era without any magic power, isolated from all spiritual energy, with only legends and Taoist and Buddhist scriptures remaining to represent the continuation of the past."

"In that case, the being that guided Kunlun Jie into that human world would lose its magic power and supernatural abilities."

"Fuxi understood the advantages of the human race very well." "Once those who guided the Kunlun Calamity fall into the mortal world, they will be annihilated by the wisdom and military might of the human race."

"Therefore, both Nuwa and the human world were preserved."

Zhou Yan seemed to be deep in thought, thinking of his hometown.

The monk Kongkong looked puzzled and said, "However, when I woke up, I saw that although the human world was isolated from the divine era, there was still a clear path of cultivation, and its upper limit and level were not weak. This means that something is wrong."

"An unexpected event occurred, causing Fuxi's plan to fail."

The Kunlun Calamity, variables, and gods.

The concept of the Age of Gods, sealed by Fuxi, the Tang Dynasty world where immortals, gods, and strange tales still exist, and his own homeland, a world completely devoid of the extraordinary. Leaving aside the locked one, the Tang Dynasty world where immortals and gods still exist and the historical reflection of his own world.

There must be a connection between them.

Could it be that the three worlds correspond to each other?

The amount of information was overwhelming. Zhou Yan rubbed his temples, vaguely sensing that his arrival in this world was probably inextricably linked to these two. The monk Kongkong said somewhat apologetically, "However, there are many more things that I, the monk, do not know."

Zhou Yan nodded and said, "These have already cleared up some of my doubts."

The monk Kongkong nodded, thought for a moment, and then raised his hand. Several items flew to Zhou Yan's front, including a drop of scarlet, viscous blood, a drop of clear, golden blood, and a huge egg.

“My false body perished along with me, but she perished even faster. She was not one of the six beings who seized the Mount Tai Fair Fruit, but she was indeed closely connected with one of them.”

"He controlled military strategy and unleashed a devastating war that swept across the Central Plains."

His name was An Lushan.

The rising light converged and transformed into an extremely robust and obese man, holding a long spear in his hand. His body was covered in a mixture of blood-red and malevolent energy, exuding a scarlet and malevolent aura.

Zhou Yan said, "Isn't he already dead?"

The monk Kongkong said, "When this fiend rose to power, he relied on the help of insectoid monsters; before my avatar, there was an insect king, who was the embodiment of a locust plague and was killed three times by the Ziwei Order of the Tang Dynasty of the human race."

"In order to break through his realm, An Lushan started a war and found that he was also bound by the human destiny. So he faked his death to escape and focused on absorbing the Dao fruit of [Duke Taishan]."

Zhou Yan said, "I should have already shattered the Dao Fruit of the Duke of Taishan."

The monk Kongkong said, "I also thought that would make us safe."

"However, we learned from that false body that An Lushan has been resurrected using the method of the 'Reclining Buddha Temple Insect Molting'. The newly resurrected 'An Lushan' is a demon wearing An Lushan's skin, with his madness and obsession, and has now rushed to the ancient Shu land."

"After Chi You's tribe was defeated, one branch of his descendants migrated to the Shu region."

“An Lushan knew that his military strength had reached its limit; moreover, he was now just a dead body that had been resurrected, so he came up with a crazy plan—” The monk Kongkong raised his hand, and a drop of scarlet, viscous blood floated in front of Zhou Yan.

"He wants to use the essence and blood of Chi You to rebuild his body."

"By borrowing from the ancient Shu mythology system, we can bring the Chiyou tribe back to the human world."

Zhou Yan's lips twitched slightly.

Who?
Chi You?

He felt that the world was a natural place, and if the sky collapsed, there would be tall people to hold it up. But now that he was bearing the title of the Lord of Mount Tai, the things he was facing were all beings beyond his usual level.

The monk Kongkong said, "This drop of essence blood is what the Weaver Girl obtained, while this drop is my own essence blood. It is ultimately a product of the dragon's offspring and may be useful. This egg is an ancient exotic species called the Mountain Spider."

The monk's illusory figure gestured with his finger, handing the items to Zhou Yan. Then, he clasped his hands together and chanted, "The clear breeze and bright moon will have their time; all our encounters in this world will eventually end in parting."

Let's meet again someday.

The monk Kongkong's body slowly dissipated, while outside, the enormous [calamity] also turned into a stream of light and faintly dissipated. The white jade lion cat's eyes widened, and suddenly, it ran out of the courtyard and strode towards the direction of Manjushri's passing.

"no no!"

"Monk Manjushri, no—"

The white jade lion cat was extremely fast, and its voice was mournful and sorrowful.

The enormous, ominous figure lowered its gaze, its bodhisattva-like face watching the sorrowful lion-cat with a compassionate expression, hinting at parting, as if bidding farewell to its mount and friend. Occasionally, a strange light would appear, the earth would tremble, and the heavenly drums would sound on their own.

The sun and moon have dimmed, and the stars have shifted and moved.

The mountains, rivers, and trees all leaned toward the place of Nirvana.

A voice came from beside the white jade lion cat's ear: "Farewell, my friend..."

The white jade lion cat shouted, "Screw you! What do you mean by 'reunited after countless tribulations'? What do you mean by 'we'll meet again someday'? Come back here! Come back here!"

"Don't just leave like that!"

The white jade lion cat climbed to the highest peak, unable to catch up any further. Panting heavily, the cat raised its head, its fur standing on end, and roared:

"Give me my ball!"

"Give it back to me!!!"

The sound traveled far and wide, echoing mournfully through the empty valley. Finally, the sound of inhaling was heard, accompanied by the gentle and compassionate smile of the deceased Manjushri, and the desperate cry of a cat.

"Manjushri!"

"You—stupid monk!!!"

As the purple aura swirled, the figure of the Lord of Mount Tai began to slowly dissipate and depart. The heavens and earth faintly churned and flowed with surging purple aura, and Zhou Yan stretched out his hand, representing the cause and effect of the Weaver Girl's terrifying calamity. All laws and karma converged on the jade book.

It even goes so far as to weave in the karma of Manjushri Bodhisattva, one of the four great Bodhisattvas of Buddhism.

The jade book was suddenly flipped to the very front.

Slowly condensing.

It can transform great calamities into the fruits of a Bodhisattva's path.

Transform into one method!
