Chapter 238 I Just Miss Her
Tuanzi bit her lip tightly, her small body trembling slightly. She didn't say a word, but large tears rolled down her cheeks silently. She wasn't ignorant; she knew she might never see her father again.

"Go!" Bai Cang suddenly pushed Teng back, then turned and walked towards the direction of the beast tide.

He took a few steps, and his bones cracked with a crisp sound. His body suddenly stretched out and transformed into a giant white fox.

Bai Cang did not look back. His silver-white figure leaped lightly, drawing a final arc of light before disappearing from their sight. The distant roars of beasts echoed in contrast to his resolute figure.

With him intercepting them, they will have more time.

Without further hesitation, Teng tightened his arms and carried Tuanzi and Changsheng as they sped out of the Black Crocodile Swamp.

Tuanzi lay on Teng's shoulder, trembling and sobbing, but dared not cry out loud.

Hearing her suppressed sobs, Teng felt a pang of unease. The orcs' fear of fallen orcs was ingrained in their very bones. Even though Bai Cang had never committed murder since leaving Thorn Cliff, they would never let him go.

What's more, there are also dumplings.

This soft and cuddly little female bears the mark of a fallen beastman.

Once discovered by the beast tide, Tuanzi will not survive.

Teng's Adam's apple bobbed, and he tightened his embrace, saying in a hoarse voice, "Don't be afraid."

He held the two cubs even tighter and ran as fast as he could towards the shore.

*
When Bai Cang arrived, Luo Heng's breath was already extremely weak.

He knelt on one knee in the pool of blood, his pale skin cracked and bleeding. He was too weak to support himself, and the vine barrier that had covered the sky looked droopy and was beginning to crumble.

Bai Cang's amber eyes flickered slightly, his snow-white fox tail curled up, and his amber beast eyes reflected the latter's almost broken purple eyes. His voice was very soft: "Thank you for your hard work."

Luo Heng supported herself on the ground, and upon hearing his words, she looked up and glanced in the direction of the Black Crocodile Swamp.

Bai Cang put Luo Heng aside, circled around him, and his fluffy tail swayed gently with his steps: "Don't worry, A Ying is fine. She has already left with Dan Yue. I stopped them. You should go too. Go to the beach."

Luo Heng stared at the crumbling vine barrier, her voice hoarse: "And what about you?"

Bai Cang stood in the shadow of the vines, where the sunlight could not penetrate or shine into his increasingly dark amber eyes.

Thick black mist surged from his body, his eyes reflecting the frenzied beast tide, and his voice carried a cold, mocking tone: "Since they are unwilling to let me go, then I will show them what a true fallen beastman is."

Thick black mist, almost tangible, flowed from his body, churning into a menacing vortex.

He glanced back one last time at the coastline, as if he had passed through dense forests and seen his female, and the small figure with the black gold ribbon tied around her neck.

He would become the last barrier, stopping the beast tide for Teng, hoping that he could escape from here with Tuanzi and Changsheng.

Luo Heng pursed his lips, about to speak, when his expression suddenly changed. He braced himself on the ground, peering through the complex sounds towards the outside of the vines, his eyebrows slightly raised: "Outside, someone is helping us, it's..."

Before Luo Heng could finish speaking, the vine barrier completely collapsed and vanished into nothingness.

Outside the barrier, a scene of carnage unfolded amidst the blizzard: orc corpses littered the ground, severed limbs and dripping with blood, the heavy stench of blood even overpowering the atmosphere of the blizzard.

Amidst the horde of beasts, a slender figure moved with astonishing speed.

The snow leopard's agile figure traced sharp arcs through the blizzard, dodging the attacks of the pack. Each swipe of its claws sent up plumes of blood mist. As if sensing the gaze, it looked up, its familiar grey-brown eyes clear and bright. Bai Cang chuckled softly, leaping over the carcasses of beastmen to reunite with Qinglan.

Luo Heng forced herself to stand up and looked at Bai Cang and Qing Lan fighting side by side in the snow. Her purple eyes trembled slightly.

With a flick of his wrist, a slightly blunt bone knife appeared in his hand, stained with old blood.

This bone knife was the very weapon he had plunged into Fuying's heart. Now, he was using it to kill these orcs who wanted to invade their homeland, which could be considered a form of compensation and protection. He was very happy to be able to fight alongside Bai Cang Qinglan.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex orc's thick tail swept across the ground, its scales gleaming coldly. He stared at the black nine-star pattern on Bai Cang's forehead, gasped, and said sharply, "It's a Fallen Orc!"

The sound waves exploded like thunder, and the beast tide instantly boiled over. Countless bloodshot eyes were fixed on Bai Cang, and fear and killing intent intertwined in their eyes, turning into a frenzied light. All the beastmen rushed towards Bai Cang and Qinglan.

They knew, of course, that the Nine-Star Patterned Beastmen were difficult to deal with, but their numbers were their greatest advantage.

The horde advanced like waves, the black mist swallowing the screams of the orc warriors. Snow leopards' sharp teeth precisely severed the throats of their enemies, and bone blades whistled through the air, piercing the chests of the orcs.

Blood meandered like a river on the snow, yet no one retreated.

The orcs, fearless and relentless, surged forward, stepping over the still-warm corpses of their comrades, their eyes burning with an unyielding obsession. The slaughter seemed endless, each person transformed into a killing machine, determined to annihilate the fallen orcs.

"Is Aying alright?"

Qinglan bit off the neck of a wolf-beastman, and warm blood spurted out, staining his flaxen fur red.

He shook his head, glanced at Bai Cang, the metallic taste in his mouth stimulating his animalistic instincts, and golden patterns spread in circles in his pupils.

Bai Cang leaped lightly, his fox tail sweeping out and knocking away the charging orc. His snow-white fur was soaked with blood, but he still maintained his elegant leaping posture. He shook his head and said, "Aying is safe."

Qinglan shattered the skull of the orc who was about to ambush Bai Cang with a single grab, and blood dripped down his claws.

He suddenly heard Bai Cang say, "Their prey is me. You and Luo Heng should leave."

Bai Cang's voice was very soft, almost drowned out by the sounds of fighting. The snow was getting heavier and heavier, gradually blurring the hideous scars on his body. Only the star pattern on his forehead became even darker amidst the intertwining of blood and snow.

Qinglan lightly stepped across the blood-stained snow, her gray-brown beast eyes exceptionally clear in the wind and snow, and her clear and ethereal voice was equally calm and undisturbed: "Since you are Aying's chosen partner, you are a companion for life and death. I cannot abandon my companion."

Bai Cang was slightly taken aback, his fox ears trembled slightly, and before he could speak, Luo Heng's panting laughter rang out behind him again.

His purple eyes were very soft, and his fingertips gently stroked the bone knife: "I can't leave now, but I suddenly really want to hear her voice. I miss her a little."

Qinglan glanced back at him. Luo Heng was covered in blood, killing entirely with brute force.

A flicker of emotion crossed his brow, a low growl escaped his throat, and a complex look crossed his grey-brown eyes as he whispered, "If you said such things to A-Ying, you wouldn't have stayed like this all along..."

Luo Heng raised the bone knife in her hand, and the drops of blood dripping from the blade made small craters in the muddy snow.

He couldn't help but curl the corners of his lips into a smile, his purple eyes brimming with laughter: "Yes, I should have said so sooner."

These words, tinged with the stench of blood, drifted through the wind and snow, yet were more sincere than ever before.

The three stood amidst mountains of corpses and seas of blood, exchanging a smile.
