Chapter 236 Natural Disasters and Man-Made Calamities, Scattered and Disorganized

Meanwhile, Fu Ying's message reached Bai Cang's ears.

He was looking after Bai Fei and Chang Sheng, Teng and Lai Shiba were out hunting, and Luo Heng was patrolling the territory. Suddenly hearing that Fu Ying and Dan Yue had ventured into the sea, Bai Cang's red lips tightened, and with his eyelashes lowered, he did his best to suppress the churning worry in his heart.

Giving birth is inherently dangerous for a female, and with only Dan Yue protecting her at this moment, it's hard to feel at ease.

"Father! Is this snow? It's so beautiful!" Bai Fei, wrapped in a thick cotton coat, took advantage of Bai Cang's distraction and ran to the bamboo building's veranda. She tilted her rosy little face up, letting the falling snow soak her head, and excitedly twirled around in the snow.

She was overjoyed, blinking her eyelashes which were covered in fluffy snowflakes, her breath floating in the air.

Changsheng sat on the warm bamboo bed, still holding a baby bottle in his hands. Hearing his older sister's laughter, he blinked his seven-colored eyes in a daze and looked out the window. When he saw the swirling snowflakes, he was stunned.

Clearly, the falling snowflakes were unfamiliar yet beautiful to this newborn little one.

Bai Cang raised her eyes and looked outside the bamboo building, her beautiful face hardening with a heavy expression.

It's snowing; this is a sign that the cold season is coming.

His fingers clenched tightly together, his amber eyes filled with malice. He hadn't forgotten Dan Yue's words: when it snows, the seawater becomes extremely cold, making it difficult for cubs to survive the temperature and making childbirth even more dangerous for females.

The snow outside was falling heavier and heavier, covering the entire ground in white almost instantly.

Just then, outside the Black Crocodile Swamp where snow was falling softly, a tremendous roar that shook the earth suddenly came.

Bai Fei, who was playing in the snow, was startled. The snowball she was holding fell to the ground with a thud. She hurriedly rushed behind Bai Cang, her small hands tightly clutching his clothes, her voice trembling with unease: "Father?"

Bai Cang's eyes suddenly darkened, and his dark gold headband gleamed with a cold light.

He strode out of the bamboo house, stood on the veranda, and looked toward the source of the sound. The falling snow immediately clung to his long eyelashes.

That was where Luoheng patrolled.

The heavy snow obscured his view, but the roaring sound, mixed with the howls of many beasts, indicated that a powerful enemy was approaching.

Bai Cangyan's brows were furrowed, and the cold wind blew across his clothes, bringing with it a murderous aura.

He cannot leave.

Since a powerful enemy has invaded, it means that the Black Crocodile Swamp is no longer safe, and Tuanzi and Changsheng cannot stay alone in the bamboo house.

Now, all they hope is that Teng will notice the unusual activity and return as soon as possible.

The only saving grace was that Aying was taken away by Danyue because of childbirth; otherwise, it would have been even harder to feel at ease.

The last time he was with the Cangshan tribe, Aying endured the excruciating pain of childbirth, trudging through the rain and covered in the stench of blood, to shield him from all the open and hidden attacks. He would never forget that scene. This time, thankfully, she wasn't there.

“Father…” Bai Fei’s cold little hand suddenly grasped his fingertips.

Bai Cang suddenly lowered his eyes, and the snowflakes blended into his amber eyes, dissolving the scarlet ferocity in them.

Edge of the Black Crocodile Swamp.

Luo Heng stared at the densely packed orcs in front of her, her purple pupils narrowing slightly, her hands hanging at her sides clenching silently.

Warriors from more than a dozen tribes gathered here, including flying orcs circling in the sky, land orcs running on the ground, and aquatic orcs emerging from the streams. Their numbers were even more astonishing than during the tribal trade fair.

As they walked, even the earth seemed to tremble slightly.

As Luo Heng sized them up, the beastmen were also locking onto him.

"Isn't that the male who crushed his own heart at the tribal trade fair? How could he still be alive??"

"Tch, what good can someone be who hangs out with fallen orcs? They're probably already possessed by evil spirits!" "This time, the entire tribe of North Mountain has come. We won't turn back until we wipe out the fallen orcs completely! We might as well capture that evil female and her male and offer them as sacrifices to the Beast God, so that the Beast God will stop bringing disaster to North Mountain."

"..."

The orcs erupted in shouts and curses.

The one who led the tribe was a Tyrannosaurus Rex orc.

His massive body caused a sickeningly loud sound as he stepped out of the crowd, snapping bushes under his weight.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex beastman was powerful; his breath could press the surrounding grass blades to the ground. He stared intently at Luo Heng, his eyes fixed on the brilliant nine-star pattern on Luo Heng's forehead. He narrowed his eyes, his gaze filled with apprehension.

He raised his forelimbs, which were covered in scales, to signal the orcs to be quiet before saying, "Nine-star extreme realm orcs are rare peak warriors in the Northern Mountains. They should not associate with fallen orcs. Hand over that filth and we will leave immediately."

His foul breath sprayed onto Luo Heng's feet as he sneered, "If you don't hand it over, even your Nine-Star Extreme Realm cultivation will be buried in this filthy Black Crocodile Swamp today!"

As soon as the Tyrannosaurus Rex beastman finished speaking, the horde of beasts behind him simultaneously bared their fangs and claws.

Luo Heng stood silently in the heavy snow, her purple eyes calm, without uttering a single word.

His slender body took a step forward, his foot firmly planted on the soil. Amidst the swirling snow, thick, gnarled vines rose from the ground, intertwining like giant pythons to form towering walls of thorns, blocking the Black Crocodile Swamp and preventing these people from making any progress.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex orc's pupils contracted sharply, then he let out a cold laugh: "Good, very good!"

His furious roar seemed to freeze the air: "Since you want to die with the fallen orcs, then I won't stop you!"

As soon as he finished speaking, his thick, massive tail swept away a tree that would take three people to encircle, and the scales on his body burst open.

It was like a battle cry; in an instant, the orcs moved.

They surged toward the vines like a tidal wave.

Rhinoceros, crocodile, and bull-like orc warriors with tough hides were the first to transform, their scaly hooves pounding the ground, sending snow flying and muddying the earth. Flying orcs tore through the snow with their claws, while smaller orcs pounced on the vine walls, gnawing at them.

The vines suddenly bared their fangs, and the thick branches strangled the orcs, their sharp thorns piercing their blood vessels.

Luo Heng stood behind the vines, her face pale, but the nine-star pattern on her face shone like a constellation of stars.

The vines he controlled were like the Grim Reaper's scythe, each strike precise and deadly. Blood sprayed out, staining the snow red and steaming up wisps of heat, instantly turning the entire Black Crocodile Swamp into a boiling meat grinder.

However, the beast tide was so large that the regeneration rate of the broken vines slowed down considerably.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex beastman also realized how troublesome the Nine-Star Extreme Realm beastman was, and let out a roar of a special frequency from its throat.

In an instant, the pangolin beastmen began digging and carving out channels, while the aquatic beastmen tried to break through the loosely secured vines in the stream. Once they broke through Luoheng's defenses, everything would become extremely easy.

In the distance, in the forest, Teng leaps onto a giant tree, looking at the edge of the Black Crocodile Swamp that roars incessantly.

His dark, almost emerald-green eyes seemed to pierce through the blizzard, landing on the direction of the bamboo house. A cold, fierce aura emanated from his handsome features. He leaped down from the treetop, the white ends of his hair drawing a cool arc.

Lai Shiba also heard the commotion and said with a grim expression, "The beastmen of the Beishan tribe have all arrived."

Teng seemed not to hear and quickly headed towards the Black Crocodile Swamp.

Lai Shiba's pupils shrank, and he shouted, "Are you crazy! Even a nine-star extreme realm cultivator would be crushed into dust under a beast tide!"

Not only did Teng not stop, but it actually increased its speed.
