Chapter 188: Her Madness Was Never Fully Expressed
Fu Ying was slightly taken aback, and upon hearing Teng's sour tone, she chuckled.

She reached out and pinched Teng's chin, her fingertips gently tracing his hard lines. A sly glint appeared in her eyes, and her voice carried a hint of seduction: "I think he's not as good-looking as you guys."

As she finished speaking, a cold snort came from afar.

Yu Li's golden pupils flashed with a cold light as he glanced at them. He then transformed into a huge golden eagle and took flight. As for the question of whether it was "good-looking or not," he didn't even bother to argue with them.

He now wants to know whether Fu Ying's claim of "reshaping the star pattern" is true or false.

Bai Cang stepped forward and said in a deep voice, "Alright, the most important thing now is to find Qinglan first."

Teng raised his chin slightly, the coldness in his eyes dissipating somewhat, as if he had been coaxed. He bent down and picked up Fuying horizontally, a wanton smile curving his lips. Without even glancing at Bai Cang, he sped away into the distance like a gust of wind.

Bai Cang shook his head, glanced at Dan Yue and Luo Heng, and said, "Let's go."

The group moved in a hurry, but Wu was clearly very familiar with the habits of the Golden Eagle Beastmen. In order to avoid being pursued, they acted very secretly. The group searched from dawn to dusk, and almost searched all the mountains and forests around Cloud Mist Cliff, but they still couldn't find anyone.

Tengshe narrowed his eyes and sneered, "Qinglan trusts Wu quite a bit, managing to hide so well with him."

Tuanzi clung to Bai Cang's neck and shifted restlessly.

Bai Cang gently patted Tuanzi's back, his amber eyes gleaming in the twilight, and said softly, "Male and female of the same sex should help each other; trust is only natural."

His voice was neither too loud nor too soft, yet it made Teng let out a soft hum.

Fu Ying, who was walking at the front, suddenly stopped. Dan Yue immediately stepped forward and asked in a clear voice, "Would you like to rest for a while?"

Fu Ying shook her head and said with a smile, "I can sense that they are nearby."

As soon as he finished speaking, Fuying's smile froze, and he suddenly looked up into the distance.

"What's wrong?" Dan Yue keenly noticed her unusual behavior, and his expression also became serious. After a moment, he reached out and made a grasping motion in mid-air, his slender knuckles trembling slightly: "What's going on? The moisture in the air is disappearing."

Fu Ying took a deep breath, her slender fingers curling slightly: "...It's earth fire."

Bai Cang and the others also sensed that something was wrong. Everyone was on edge and gathered around Fu Ying.

Luo Heng's face turned pale, and she hesitated before saying, "The surrounding plants... they are afraid."

"boom--"

The earth trembled without warning, and the sound of trees snapping echoed in the distance.

A scorching wave of heat surged up from the ground, turning the twilight sky an eerie crimson. Wild beasts scattered wildly, and birds took flight in panic. In an instant, the entire forest was in an uproar.

At this moment, Yu Li, who was hovering high in the sky, suddenly swooped down and transformed into human form the instant she landed.

His features were sharp, and his voice held an unusual intensity: "The wildfires have broken out! You must—"

“The vitality of the duck’s markings has weakened.” Fu Ying interrupted Yu Li, pressing her fingertips on the golden-red bird pattern on her waist.

She shook her head and said, "Wu is in trouble, and Qinglan hasn't left either. They're trapped, and I can't leave."

Before she could finish speaking, Teng immediately grabbed her wrist, his brows furrowing: "You can't go alone!"

Fu Ying looked up at him, her voice cold and stern: "You don't believe me? I will bring Qinglan and Wu back! Now, you two leave here immediately. Staying even a moment longer will distract me and become a burden, understand?"

Bai Cang sensed the scorching heat in the air, gave Fu Ying a deep look, and whispered, "Be careful."

With that, he grabbed Teng's arm and ran off with the beast tide. Dan Yue took a deep breath, said nothing more, and left with Luo Heng.

They knew very well that with Fuying's abilities, surviving the wildfire would not be difficult, and it was obviously impossible for her to abandon Qinglan and Wu. However, they were beastmen, and the power of the wildfire was extraordinary. Rather than staying here and becoming a burden to her, it was better to leave first so that she could go and save people without any worries.

Fu Ying watched them leave before turning to look at the sky, which was tinged red by the firelight.

The ground erupted, and the rolling lava seemed to come alive, engulfing the mountains and forests. The wildfire raged, and the heat wave distorted the air, as if even the lungs were being burned.

She carefully sensed the markings, her gaze darkened, and without hesitation, she took a step towards the direction of the wildfire.

Yu Li stared intently at her retreating figure, his sharp eyes filled with shock: "Are you crazy? That's subterranean fire! It can even melt rocky cliffs and mountains into ashes!"

Fu Ying ignored Yu Li's words, lightly touched the ground with her toes, and moved like a nimble swallow. In the raging wildfire, she was like a moth drawn to the flame, so delicate and small, yet she went against the tide of beasts with a resolute determination that was astonishing.

Yu Li suddenly realized that the rumors about the "evil female of the Oasis Tribe" might not have fully described her madness.

*
Flames raged and thick smoke billowed.

"Wu! Wake up!" Qinglan's fur curled up, and the flames were reflected in its gray-brown beast eyes. It fiercely rammed into a fallen giant tree, but the thick trunk did not budge. Instead, it made its paw pads even more bloody and mangled.

"Whoosh!" the snow leopard roared, blood spurting from between its teeth.

His beastly eyes were fixed on the figure crushed by the giant tree. The young man lay on the ground, his long golden-red hair dull, his pale face covered in blood, and the dark red smear around his lips mixed with fragments of internal organs. He was already unconscious.

The tree trunk that was pressing down on his waist was cracking with a chilling sound as the fierce fire raged.

"Duck!" Qinglan clenched her sharp teeth, breathing heavily in her throat.

He arched his back and rammed into the giant tree again and again.

The wild goose betrayed the tribe to save him, and he couldn't abandon him amidst the raging wildfire.

The wildfire roared as it approached, the scorching heat in the air like a cage, and Qinglan was filled with despair.

He finally stopped ramming the giant tree, his front paws sinking helplessly into the scorched earth. He lowered his body, his ear tips drooping, his gray-brown pupils reflecting the approaching wall of fire, his consciousness becoming somewhat hazy.

"Aying..." Qinglan squeezed out a sob, but it was no longer clear and ethereal; it was hoarse and out of tune.

His female is still waiting for him at home, but he can't go back.

In the instant the flames engulfed the heavens and earth, a slender figure suddenly appeared in Qinglan's gray-brown pupils.

Qinglan straightened her head, murmured in a daze, her ear tips twitching unconsciously: "Will I be able to see Aying when I die?"

Fu Ying raised his hand and flung away the giant log. Looking at the lava that was almost at his feet, he flicked his wrist and the Frost Whip shot out through the air. The cold air spread rapidly and froze the approaching lava. Instantly, thick smoke billowed up.

She turned to look at the disheveled man and leopard, her brows furrowed.

Fu Ying stepped forward, deftly pried open Wu's beak, and stuffed a pill into his mouth. Then she turned to Qing Lan and said, "Let's go."

Hearing such a realistic voice, Qinglan shuddered and transformed into human form, asking incredulously, "Aying?"

Fuying didn't respond, but instead put one arm around Qinglan's waist. With the sound of the scroll tearing, golden light dissipated.

When they opened their eyes again, the three of them were already at the foot of Cloud Mist Cliff.
