With all these qualities, I will eventually become immortal.

Chapter 531 Soul Forging Cultivation: Liberation on the Other Shore!

Chapter 531 Soul Forging Cultivation: Liberation on the Other Shore!

This wisp of air, subtly revealing a hidden emotion, seems to connect with heaven and earth, igniting a fire.

"Could it be that he is about to break through his limits, and his desires are becoming increasingly difficult to suppress?"

Controlling one's mind is also the responsibility of the body.

The construction of a more complex physical concert hall involves more than simply putting flesh and bones together; it cannot be fully controlled.

He is still far from achieving this, and to think he can completely control his thoughts at this moment is wishful thinking.

Meng Chuan's eyes flickered as he pondered for a moment.

"In this way, I never imagined that the lack of a treasure land would also affect my Five Elements Fist's ability to break through its limits."

The Five Elements Boxing style has the most obvious impact on the environment.

Ignoring everything else, they continued their studies on the mountaintop.

From this perspective, the instant the Fiery Burst Fist breaks its limit is tantamount to setting a mountain on fire.
How to solve this?

If it weren't for the protection of a Grandmaster or higher-level expert, who used their powerful will to cover the heavens and earth...

We need to find a "treasure trove" that won't be affected by the fire.

There must be one in Shaolin.

The Buddha had previously mentioned something about a "meditation room".

Why not take advantage of tomorrow's Buddhist philosophy class and ask Master Baibao and the young monk?
I've been teaching qi cultivation techniques to young monks lately, and it's been quite interesting.

Every time the young monk practiced, he would put his hands together and say "Good, good" to the sky above his head.
Thinking of this, he looked up at the sky.

The surface was calm, without wind, without waves, and without anything.

But in fact
The Dharmakaya of Vairocana Buddha is watching over everything on Mount Shaoshi.
"Will Buddha invite me to the Dharma realm to teach me something?"

Meng Chuan shook his head, doubting himself.

impossible.

The Buddhist community still places too much importance on incense offerings.

Entering it yourself would likely consume a significant amount of energy.

He didn't even read the book by Kasyapa, a monk with whom he had a very good relationship, nor did he invite him to the Dharma Realm.
Still thinking about Buddha? Dream on!
His fists and feet paused, and he immediately thought:

"Could that guy, Luohan, be thinking the same thing?"

As Meng Chuan pondered, clouds and mist surged and swirled around him, only to dissipate again and again with each outstretched hand movement.

A notification appeared on the panel, so I checked it internally:
【Reaching for the Wide Fist: Mastery (99%) → Perfection (1%) Awaiting Breakthrough】

[Limit Breaking Trait: Vertical Arm (Beginner)]

Open your eyes and gather your qi and blood.

The clouds and mist dispersed, and he stood still, hands clasped.

In less than two weeks, the second-rate ancient martial art, Long Fist, officially began its breakthrough sprint.

With such talent, I hope Brother Luohan will take the initiative and come to discuss important business matters soon, lest he make a mistake.
The next morning, before dawn.

The morning dew turned into white mist, which lingered and did not dissipate.

Master Bai Bao's door was tightly closed, and the young monk had not yet arrived.

Meng Chuan came out of the room and, seeing this, went to the courtyard for his morning exercise.

Put aside the Flame Burst Fist and practice other fist techniques.

The black and white ink flows freely, like a cascading waterfall.

The Shaolin Temple practicing Wudang boxing has a unique charm.
【True Martial Nine Forms for Subduing Demons: Proficient (26%)】

Having mastered the advanced stage, he has passed the initial stage and begun the intermediate stage of Soul Forging.

The flow of Yin and Yang energy, with each surge and circulation, gradually generates changes in momentum.

The cultivation of the soul awaits, aiming for a breakthrough to mastery.

This will cultivate the "Demon Slayer" – the power to subdue demons – that Master Chen Tuan spoke of.

Moreover, this boxing style is far more complex than that.

With each breath, the black and white aura spread throughout his body, filling his limbs and bones.

Meng Chuan focused his mind and looked inward.

There is a reason why the practice of becoming proficient and perfect is called "Soul Forging".

The two energies of Yin and Yang spread everywhere along the meridians.

With each stroke of the brush, the bones and flesh grow, and the fascia thickens.

All the internal changes took root and sprouted in the smallest details, helping Meng Chuan's already incredibly exaggerated physique to reach even greater heights.

This is the tempering of the body, worthy of the name of the strongest true martial art fist technique in the True Martial Arts [Demon Subduing Divine Power].

Time passes slowly.

The sun is rising.

As dawn deepened, light spilled onto the platform.

The morning light was vibrant, and Meng Chuan practiced his boxing, breaking out in a light sweat.

He circulated his internal energy to regulate his kidney essence, but his mind was shallow and superficial.

The pores opened one after another, releasing wisps of cold air, like a miniature air conditioner, bringing coolness.

Then I went to the pool next to me and washed myself.

Water droplets evaporate, carrying away heat.

Comfortable!

The young monk Jueming got up at the sound of the rooster's crow, tidied himself up, and hurried to the Moon Terrace Garden.

Upon seeing him for the first time, he excitedly said:

"Brother Meng, I can now smell the aura of all things. Does this mean I've mastered the art of aura observation?"

Others, lacking a progress tracking panel, can only judge the quality of martial arts techniques based on their intuition and the experience of predecessors.

Meng's transmission of this method was complete, and his experience was naturally profound.

He gestured and pointed:
"Go and smell that area, I'll take a look."

The young monk looked in the direction he pointed, his expression somewhat hesitant:
"Brother Meng, that's the chicken coop that the White-robed Monk keeps."

"Yes, a strong and stimulating flavor is needed to better showcase your control over inspiration. After all, you're just starting out, and your skills are still developing."

"Okay, little monk understands."

The little monk ran into the chicken coop and took a deep breath of the strong smell of chicken manure.

He rubbed each of the rooster combs, stood up, and began to practice his boxing.

Meng Chuan walked closer to take a look and observed carefully.

This action was not intended to prank the young monk.

Why not let him smell the grass and trees in the mountains?
The young monk practiced a form of martial arts that imitated the forms of tigers and elephants, sensing the vitality of nature and all living things.

Wood-elemental spiritual energy, even if one could smell it, could not be released through punches. Meng Chuan naturally could not detect whether the spiritual energy in the opponent's punches resonated with it.

A few breaths later, he pulled the little monk out of the chicken coop.

It smells awful!
Seeing that Master Bai Bao's door was open from afar, he led Jue Ming into the house, talking as they walked:

"Not bad, young master, you might as well abandon Buddhism and embrace Taoism. You've mastered the art of observing qi in just seven days; your talent is exceptional!"

The little monk grew anxious:

"Brother Meng, stop talking nonsense!"

Then, with a hint of smugness, he asked in a low voice:

"Brother Meng, how long did it take you to master the basics?"

Meng Chuan thought for a moment:
"A few hours, I guess."

"...Is that monk considered to have exceptional talent?"

"Young master, before you go down the mountain at noon, help Master Bai Bao tidy up the chicken coop."

You'll probably be spending quite a bit of time with chickens from now on.

"This humble monk understands."

The two sat down and sat down with Master Bai Bao.

Meng Chuan picked up the teapot and poured in tea leaves and spring water.

High temperatures emanate from my palm as I manually boil water.

Once the water boils, pour in the hot tea and serve it to the two of them.

"Master Bai Bao, little monk, be careful, it's hot."

“Brother Meng, since you mastered the concept of imagery, the thing you've used most often is boiling water.”

Meng Chuan laughed:

“Little monk, my Yijing Tea is much more precious than regular tea. You’ve really hit the jackpot.”

"Amitabha, this humble monk did not let Brother Meng suffer any loss. The [Heart Soul Wood] bracelet you requested has also been obtained for you."

Meng Chuan was overjoyed, for this item was unique to Shaolin Temple and rarely found outside.

"Young master, fifty million?"

"Yes, Venerable Ge has never spoken of duality. Well said."

"Okay, I'll transfer it to you later. Go to class now."

Seeing that the two had stopped talking, the room gradually became quiet.

Bai Bao paused for a tea break and slowly began to speak:
"Today we will discuss the Heart Sutra. If you have any questions about the Diamond Sutra from last week, we can discuss them after class."

Upon hearing this, the young monk's eyes immediately lit up.

Meng Chuan glanced at him and saw that the kid had become excited, just like he had when he saw a treasure.
But Master Bai glanced at it and explained:
"The Heart Sutra, also known as the Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra, is only 260 characters long, yet it is a classic and condensed essence of Prajnaparamita. The words are concise, but the meaning is profound."

If you can develop your own understanding of this sutra, you have grasped one level of Buddhist teachings and have just begun your journey into the Dharma.

Paramita means reaching the other shore.

Prajna means great wisdom that transcends worldly concerns.

Prajnaparamita is the attainment, through this great wisdom, from the "this shore" of afflictions to the "other shore" of liberation.

The profound wisdom of the classics is something we must learn!

He possesses "wisdom that reaches the heavens," but it does not yet qualify as the words of Prajna.
Moreover, once he breaks through the limits of Baxia Kung Fu, he will begin the path of physical transcendence.

First, learn the Heart Sutra and try your hand at "liberation".

Transcendence and liberation are similar in definition and must have some similarities.

We must study, we must study hard!
Meng Chuan sat upright, took the Heart Sutra, opened it, and listened to what Master Bai Bao had to say:

The book says: "When Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva was practicing the profound Prajnaparamita, he perceived that the five aggregates are all empty, and thus transcended them."

Bai Bao read it aloud once, then selected excerpts for explanation, using simple and easy-to-understand language, taking into account Meng Chuan's interpretation.

Half an hour later, Master Bai Bao fell silent.

Today, there wasn't much time left, so I made time for breaks in the explanation.

Looking out the window, then at the two boys across the table.

"Now that I've finished speaking, do either of you have any questions? You can ask about the Diamond Sutra, the Heart Sutra, or any other Buddhist scriptures."

Meng Chuan spoke first:
"Master Bai Bao, may I ask if the Great Sage Mingtai is in the temple?"

"What business do you have with the abbot?"

This brat, what kind of Buddhist philosophy is he asking?
【Mingtai Dasheng Xuanmou】 is the current abbot of Shaolin Temple.

Meng Chuan consulted the records and books within Shaolin Temple and learned from them.

This great being has been a saint for nearly 150 years.

Before the rise of the Great Sage of Heaven, Abbot Xuanmou was the undisputed number one in the world!

His magical powers are profound, and his martial arts are unparalleled.

Seeing that Master Bai Bao was not angry, he was secretly pleased and then said:
"I recently heard rumors about obtaining Buddhahood under the Dragon Flower Tree in the temple, and I'd like to try it myself."

Bai Bao glanced at the young novice monk sitting next to him.

"Did Jueming tell you that?"

The young monk wondered if he had said something wrong, and stubbornly replied:
"Yes."

Meng Chuan quickly chimed in:
"Master, I was the one who held a knife to Jueming's neck and asked him that."

Bai Bao shook his head when he saw these two clowns.

Seeing the young novice's nervous expression, he smiled and said:
"It's alright. The Dragon Flower Tree doesn't belong to Shaolin; it just exists there. If you want to try, Meng Chuan, you're welcome to go."

"I have heard that the Great Sage Mingtai once asserted that only those who represent the future can obtain it. May I ask Master Baibao, what does this mean and what is the explanation?"

Bai Bao smiled and asked in return:
"Then who do you think attained Buddhahood under the Dragon Flower Tree in the past?"

Meng Chuan pondered intently.

After a while.
He hadn't seen it in the scriptures.
"Please enlighten me, Master Bai Bao."

"Naturally, it refers to Maitreya before he became a Buddha."

"."

Meng Chuan was speechless. Was this some kind of Buddhist riddle?
"Before Maitreya attained Buddhahood, who asserted that he would definitely become a Buddha?"

Jue Ming had said it before, and he blurted it out:

"Shakyamuni Buddha".

Immediately following:

"In the present moment, Maitreya Bodhisattva was identified by Shakyamuni Buddha as the representative of the future."

He will attain Buddhahood under the Dragon Flower Tree in the future.
