With all these qualities, I will eventually become immortal.

Chapter 527 All phenomena are without inherent existence; the mind of the benevolent one is moved.
The Qi Refining Method is not something everyone can practice; there are certain learning thresholds.
Just as the storybook describes, the "spiritual root" has certain limitations in terms of talent.
Therefore, he would teach the young monk diligently as long as he could learn it.
Meng Chuan is never stingy when it comes to those around him.
"Amitabha Buddha—thank you, Brother Meng!"
Jueming clasped his hands together and bowed slightly.
Brother Meng is just as magnanimous as the Venerable Bai Bao!
He waved his hand and turned to ask Master Bai Bao:
"Master Bai Bao, would you like to learn this method? This method was obtained from Patriarch Han Zhongli and it is also quite beneficial to longevity."
"I'll pass on these effects; they're useless to me. Only divine skills and ultimate techniques can give me a second spring? Hahaha."
Bai Bao chuckled self-deprecatingly and led the way into the house.
He could already smell the aroma of porridge and rice coming from inside the house.
Let's eat first, then talk about scriptures.
The three of them ate porridge. After they finished, Bai Bao waved his hand, and the table was tidy.
The little monk wiped his mouth with a piece of paper and thought to himself that today's porridge tasted even sweeter than usual.
Reflecting on myself, my state of mind seems to have improved somewhat.
He was somewhat restless, wanting to break through the second limit.
After much deliberation, I finally made up my mind:
"Don't rush. This humble monk must proceed steadily and only when we are absolutely certain of success will we succeed."
The power of Mara penetrated the hearts of every monk in Shaolin Temple.
Walking steadily is more important than walking fast.
While the young monk was lost in thought, Meng Chuan saw a large express delivery box appear on the table as Master Bai Bao waved his hand.
The three prominent red logos at the top read "All Pass".
Mr. Bai pushed the delivery box toward him:
“The recipient is you. When I went up the mountain, I was picking up my own package at the gatehouse. I saw your package and picked it up for you as well.”
Meng Chuan thanked him, reached out and brushed the item away, then put it into the tiger-head waist token.
The young monk's eyes were filled with envy when he saw that the other monk had a treasure for storing things.
"Thank you, Master Bai Bao. By the way, do you also like online shopping?"
He didn't know what was inside.
But seeing the shipping address as the headquarters of Shanghai Hanhai Company, one can understand what this item is.
Most likely, the top-grade martial arts elixir that Grandmaster Shen Shuo mentioned earlier, which is beneficial to the spirit, has arrived.
I'll go back and read it later; I'll study Buddhist principles first.
Across from him, Bai Bao also smiled and said:
"Since the Wushu Association started this online shopping service, I've been using it frequently; it's very convenient."
Meng Chuan nodded, agreeing that online shopping was much more convenient than before.
Master Bai Bao is old, but he has a youthful mindset and keeps up with the times.
Therefore, I secretly made a note of it:
"Optimism and a youthful mindset are also essential requirements for becoming a superstar."
As for whether it is right or wrong, or whether it is the truth?
There's no other reason than that if you feel it's right, then it's right.
Coming to his senses, he saw Master Bai Bao's expression change, gradually becoming solemn.
Meng Chuan then knew that the sermon was about to begin.
The young monk beside him stood up, put his hands together, and bowed respectfully.
His eyes grew slightly serious, and he also bowed with his hands clasped in a martial salute.
Sit upright and wait.
Regardless of whether one is a Buddhist or not.
If you listen to Buddhist scriptures, you should have the most basic respect for faith.
Master Bai Bao straightened his sleeves, and a copy of the Diamond Sutra appeared, flying to the table in front of Meng Chuan.
Jue Ming doesn't need it; he already knows it by heart.
Bai Bao coughed lightly and said:
"Alright, everyone, calm down. Today we'll continue from last time and discuss the Diamond Sutra."
"clear."
Meng Chuan had an exceptional memory; after a few moments of mental recollection, he flipped to the section he had discussed last time.
This Buddhist classic is one of the core Buddhist scriptures of Shaolin Temple. It has the effect of enlightening the mind and seeing through illusions, so it is essential reading.
Study time always seems to pass exceptionally long.
The shadows of the trees sway outside the window.
Although Bai Bao's voice was soft, every word went straight to the heart, extremely clear.
Jueming became a monk halfway through his life, but he has already spent fifteen years in the Buddhist temple.
I've studied the Diamond Sutra countless times, but I'm still listening to it with utmost concentration right now.
Each Buddhist scripture was placed there.
Go see, think, and speak.
Everyone has a different understanding of it.
The young monk would occasionally take out a piece of white paper to write things down and ponder them later.
The attic of memories in everyone's heart is limited in size.
Never forget, that is Meng Chuan’s exclusive motto.
He composed himself and listened attentively to the sutra.
[Such generosity is given without attachment to form. Why? Because if a Bodhisattva gives without attachment to form, the merit he accumulates is immeasurable.]
In other words, doing good deeds without expecting anything in return can yield far greater rewards than when one is attached to them, so great that they cannot be measured by thought.
This statement doesn't mean to act as a "money-giving boy," but rather emphasizes the purity of one's original intention in doing things.
The Buddhist teachings are vast and profound. Meng Chuan frequently reflected on them in his mind and gained much insight.
As he mastered the Arhat Fist, the number of Buddhist teachings he learned increased.
Martial arts and reason are inseparable.
Studying Buddhist principles greatly helped him improve his proficiency in practicing the Arhat Fist.
His three major Buddhist martial arts skills also proved beneficial.
Most importantly, it involves the [Brahma Prison Suppression] which affects the number of daily external training sessions.
These days, I have gained considerable insights from this sutra and am about to master it.
Of course, this was something Master Bai did intentionally.
Upon hearing this, the other party learned that he had recently been focusing on this advanced true martial arts training method.
He also specifically chose to explain the principles of this Dharma from the Diamond Sutra, which might be easier to understand.
Each day, aside from the one hour set beforehand, the remaining time is dedicated to expounding this principle.
Master Bai Bao once said that being able to thoroughly understand the Diamond Sutra is considered a minor achievement in Buddhist principles.
Meng Chuan's requirements were not high; he just wanted to be able to barely understand this book during his time at Shaolin.
The Buddha's teachings are vast; to expect to master them in a few months or years is pure delusion.
Relying on a solid foundation and focusing on understanding the Diamond Sutra is already excellent; don't try to do too much.
The rest of the scriptures can be memorized, and with a foundation in the Diamond Sutra, one can also learn them on their own.
Time passed slowly, and with the old monk's resounding "Excellent!", Meng Chuan and the young monk came back to their senses.
"An hour has passed, so let's stop here. This old monk still needs to go and meditate."
Bai Bao would spend anywhere from one day to several days practicing his skills indoors, making it a rare sight for ordinary people.
"Amitabha--"
Jueming regained his senses, responded with a Buddhist chant, and bowed in gratitude to the divine monk.
"Thank you, Master Bai Bao."
Meng Chuan bowed.
Bai Bao got up and left; he had other places to practice his skills.
As his form blurred, his voice drifted faintly to the ears of the two boys:
"The library contains tens of thousands of Buddhist scriptures and countless principles. Please remember this one sentence."
The Buddha said: "From the night I attained perfect enlightenment until the night I entered Parinirvana, I did not utter a single word in between."
"??"
Meng Chuan made a note of it for now.
After bowing in thanks, he looked at the young monk beside him, who seemed to have gained some understanding.
He asked a learned person for guidance:
"Little Master, what did Master Bai Bao mean by that?"
Jue Ming, reflecting on the sermon given by the eminent monk, paused for a moment:
"The words of the divine monk directly point to the enlightenment of the Dharma and the non-self-nature of all phenomena."
This means that the Buddha once said that from his enlightenment in one night to his attainment of Buddhahood and the transcendent state of Nirvana, there was never a fixed and unchanging "Buddhist teaching" to teach.
Meng Chuan seemed to have grasped something, and pondered it over and over:
"This is Master Bai Bao's admonition: Buddhism is not a fixed format or form; the most important thing is to understand it yourself after you come down to it."
To cling to what he just said, that is, the so-called teachings of the Buddha, is a misunderstanding.
"Brother Meng is wise."
Jue Ming clasped his hands together in praise.
He understood it immediately after listening to the sutra a few times.
Brother Meng's Buddha-nature is far stronger than mine.
It's a real shame he didn't become a monk.
Meng Chuan ignored the little monk's flattery; he scratched his sideburns, still deep in thought.
I always feel like I'm just a little short of grabbing something.
If you can't figure it out, ask. As he saw the little monk off down the mountain, Meng Chuan's expression turned serious.
I would like to ask you again regarding the theory of "the format and form of Buddhist teachings".
Is studying Buddhism guided primarily by the teachings of one's teachers?
Or should one govern based on their own understanding?
The wind rustled the treetops, creating a sound like a downpour of rain.
A brilliant voice, carried on the wind, lingered in his ears:
"Brother Meng, please look up. Look here, is it the wind that's moving, or is it this pine tree that's moving?"
He looked in the direction indicated and pondered for a moment:
"I think it was the force of the wind that made the pine tree move, so both of them moved."
The young monk put his hands together, nodded, and smiled:
"Brother Meng, you thought of the wind first, then the tree. The wind blows and the tree moves. This is the sequence of your inner world's reaction."
First you see the path of the wind, then you see the appearance of the tree being blown by the wind; only then do the two appear in your perception as a state of motion.
Meng Chuan suddenly realized:
"According to what the young master said, it's actually me who's fallen for him?"
"Brother Meng, if you feel your heart is moved, then it is moved."
The wind blows and the trees move; without wind, the trees don't move, and without trees, you can't see the wind moving.
He instantly realized something was wrong, but then felt something was amiss; he had almost gotten caught up in it.
"Young master, my heart is unmoved, but the wind and trees do not change according to my will. Aren't they still moving?"
"Of course, but if I hadn't reminded Brother Meng to go and see, you wouldn't have paid any attention, so let's not talk about whether to move or not."
This is a saying of the Sixth Patriarch: "It is not the wind that moves, nor the flag that moves, but the mind of the benevolent one that moves."
Upon hearing this, Meng Chuan pondered it carefully for a moment, and his eyes lit up.
He slammed his left fist into his right palm, a hint of joy in his eyes.
"Thank you very much, Master Jue Ming!"
"You're too kind, Brother Meng, I'll be going now."
Jueming still had evening classes to attend, so he hurriedly went down the mountain.
Meng Chuan walked back into the house, paced back and forth in contemplation, and finally understood what Bai Bao had said:
"Do not be attached to the literal meaning of Buddhist teachings or the specific forms of Buddhist practice, but rather return to inner awareness and understanding."
It was also Master Bai Bao reminding himself:
"If one only dwells on words and rituals without developing one's own discernment and attachment, it will be difficult to comprehend the essence of Buddhist principles."
Only by becoming aware of one's own inner thoughts can one truly enter into Buddhist principles and align with Buddhist scriptures.
Buddha, I've got it!
But if I do this, will I become stubborn and get stuck on a rut?
He shook his head slightly, denying it himself.
Whether it's right or wrong depends on the individual—whether they are moved or not.
Meng Chuan slept through the night, then got up and soaked in the borrowed bathtub for half an hour.
I feel refreshed and relaxed when I wake up in the morning.
The realm of inner demons leaves behind only weariness.
Upon waking, he vanished without a trace.
After enduring hardship and rejuvenating your energy and nervous system, you will return to your peak condition.
The water droplets evaporated all over the body, turning a pale green color and emitting a light, herbal scent.
Meng Chuan walked to the desk, pondering:
"The herbal bath packs given by Master Jueming really do relieve fatigue, so I'll just buy two big packs and store them in my waist token."
He said it was a soothing formula prepared by the Shaolin pharmacists.
When a Shaolin disciple first enters the sect, he must focus on external training and temper his physical body.
Afterwards, they will use this medicine to recover, in order to avoid leaving any hidden injuries.
