With all these qualities, I will eventually become immortal.

Chapter 508 Bodhidharma Yi Jin Xi Sui: Where did this wild boy come from?

Chapter 508 Bodhidharma Yi Jin Xi Sui: Where did this wild boy come from?
Just now at the Book Cliff, I personally witnessed Kasyapa's martial prowess.

What is the significance of enshrining the deceased in the Mahavira Hall?

Seeing this, Meng Chuan couldn't help but wonder:
"Could it be that after a person dies, they can receive incense offerings and transform into a deity or Buddha who can wield the power of incense?"

Artificial immortals and Buddhas, truly achieving Buddhahood on the spot?
Incense offerings and the presence of deities and Buddhas all have their place of existence.

Could it be that I will have the opportunity to visit the Kasyapa Dharma Realm in the future?
Come to your senses.

Setting aside distractions, Meng Chuan continued to observe with a respectful heart.

Whether Kasyapa can attain Buddhahood is a question that Master Baibao is sure he can answer for himself.

Don't be anxious about temporary confusion, and don't get stuck on trivial details.

The effect of enhanced comprehension is subtly manifested here.

Then he looked at both sides.

On the left side of the hall, the statue is dressed in a plain monk's robe, sitting cross-legged with a serene expression and eyes full of Zen wisdom.

The person on the right holds a fire stick, stands tall, has sharp eyes and a commanding presence.

Seeing these two, Meng Chuan was certain of his earlier guess and no longer needed to ask Master Bai Bao.

He gazed at the statue, murmuring to himself:
"Can a real person truly accept incense offerings and instantly attain Buddhahood?"

how so?

Both of them are figures who actually existed in the historical records.

It is clearly recorded that in the ancient martial arts era, there were "martial arts masters" in Buddhism.

The man in the plain-colored monk's robe is Bodhidharma, the first patriarch of the Chan (Zen) school in China.

Its status is equivalent to that of the Celestial Master's Mansion, and its ancestor was Celestial Master Zhang Daoling.

Bodhidharma founded Shaolin internal martial arts and fighting techniques, and was also the creator of the prototype of the core Buddhist teachings and boxing methods.

He combined martial arts with meditation, leading the monks to abandon Kasyapa's path of spiritual practice and laying the foundation for Shaolin's "Zen, martial arts, meditation, and unity of spirit and body."

He is also one of the founders of modern Qi and Blood Martial Arts.

Meng Chuan, a legendary figure in martial arts, immediately bowed and paid his respects to his senior.

Then he got up.

Looking to the right, the majestic figure is none other than Kinnara King Bodhisattva.

He was also a martial arts master during the Yuan Dynasty in Shaolin Temple, who protected the temple from calamities and was later revered as the guardian deity of Shaolin Temple.

He passed down nearly a hundred martial arts techniques to later generations, such as the Kinnara Fist and the Kinnara King Staff Technique.

These basic martial arts techniques can all be learned for a fee on the official website of the Martial Arts Association.
The Great Buddha Hall inside Shaolin Temple, like the Jade Void Palace of Wudang, was probably used as a place for religious ceremonies.

The fact that these two genuine ancient figures can stand here, and whether they can be worshipped and become Buddhas, is beyond question.

"It seems that Grandmaster Zhang Sanfeng must still be alive and has become a martial arts saint."

Otherwise, he would have long been revered as an immortal by the entire Wudang sect and would be standing next to the True Martial Emperor.”

The same applies to Zhang Daoling, the patriarch of the Celestial Master's Mansion on Longhu Mountain.

To live is to become a saint, to die is to become an immortal.
Meng Chuan drew inferences from one instance to another and confirmed his thoughts.

Then, quickly put these disrespectful remarks out of your mind.
"Good, good, good."

After that, Meng Chuan stopped looking and guessing.

He circumambulated the hall with his hands clasped together, prayed to the various Buddhas for blessings, and then prepared to leave.

He pondered in his heart:

"May Buddha bless me, and may I become a martial god even more powerful than the demon god, destroy the Heavenly Demon Realm, and establish a human alien colony."

Since I'm already here, this was just a casual remark.

He doesn't believe in these things, which affects his martial arts will.

Offering incense with feigned sincerity at this moment would be rather unseemly.

However, Meng Chuan did not expect this.

After he left, a robust middle-aged monk with broad shoulders, thick back, and muscular build emerged from the dark room behind the Three Buddhas.

His gaze, fixed on Meng Chuanyuan as he walked away, was as sharp as an eagle's.

After a moment, his expression softened.

Then he took out a clean cloth and carefully wiped away all the traces left by Meng Chuan.

As he wiped, he muttered to himself:

"Which family's disciple is he, or some wild brat from out of town?"

Meng Chuan's bald head is indeed somewhat deceptive.
He wiped himself clean and stood up straight.

Then, setting aside all distractions and with utmost sincerity, they knelt and worshipped around the Buddha statues in turn.

Put your palms together, bend over, kneel down slowly, and kowtow.
This is an attempt to absolve the "negligent" of their sins.

He repeated this three times before getting up.

Stepping outside the main hall, his expression instantly darkened:
"The Buddha is compassionate, yet he cannot tolerate such disrespect."

The Great Buddha Hall possesses a divine power that shields all senses.

Meng Chuan was naturally unaware that after he left, a madman from Shaolin Temple had set his sights on him.
The sky was turning dusky.

Meng Chuan no longer lingered in the Thousand Buddha Hall area and headed to Linshan, the Moon Terrace Garden.

I'll visit the Shaolin Martial Arts University headquarters and its martial arts academy on another day.

In the back mountain, ancient trees stand tall and scattered, silent and still.

This environment also affected his mood. He immediately composed himself and his expression involuntarily became serious.

Master Baibao truly deserves to be called a Heavenly King Monk.

Before even reaching the summit platform, the serene and Zen-like scenery of the mountains and forests had already taken him by surprise.

At the summit of the mountain lies the garden of the moonlit platform.

Meng Chuan saw a monk dressed in a moon-white robe already waiting there.

This monk's age was impossible to tell from his appearance.

He had a serene face, eyes like deep pools, and an aura of nonchalance, yet he possessed a subtle, otherworldly quality.

He had not been able to sense this kind of "momentum" from Master Kasyapa when he was at Book Cliff.

Coming to his senses, without dwelling on it, Meng Chuan bowed and clasped his hands together:
"Greetings, Master Bai Bao." His master had previously reminded him that when he met the Venerable Monk Bai Bao, he should address him as "Master."

Master Bai Bao twirled his prayer beads, glanced at him, and said quietly:
“Old monk Bai Bao, is this Xiao Meng? You are much thinner than your master Luo Guanyun described.”

Luo Guanyun said that his disciple was so muscular that he was comparable to two Shaolin monks, and even wider when standing side by side.
Meng Chuan slightly relaxed, and his body instantly swelled and grew larger, becoming as solid as a rock, a feature he hadn't seen in a long time.
He then laughed and said:
"Master Bai Bao, is that so?"

This playful behavior was intended to bring them closer.

Meng Chuan could tell that Master Bai Bao seemed to have an inexplicable obsession with hard skills.
Bai Bao smiled without saying a word, and led Meng Chuan inside for a chat.

This child is indeed a descendant of his teacher, Luo Guanyun.

Because their virtues are exactly the same.
indoor.

As soon as Meng Chuan entered, the scent of sandalwood mixed with the aroma of books wafted towards him.

Master Bai Bao has such refined tastes!
Looking around, I saw a light ink landscape painting hanging on the wall, with the signature "Bai Bao" on the right.

At Master Bai Bao's signal, Meng Chuan sat down on the prayer mat by the table.

On the table were two cups of hot tea and an open Buddhist scripture.

Bai Bao first asked with concern:
"Xiao Meng, how is your master doing these days?"

"Much better. With your blessing of the Heart Sutra, my master has been studying it day and night without rest, and has benefited greatly from it regarding the matter of resentment in the mind."

These were Luo Guanyun's exact words, which he relayed truthfully.

Bai Bao smiled and nodded:
"That's good. Now, let's get back to you."

I already knew about your enlightenment at Book Cliff.

Within my Shaolin Temple, there are many similar places. If you wish to test your resolve, I will grant you access to forbidden items.

Meng Chuan expressed his gratitude, then took out the jade disc and recounted the story of the Buddha.

"Thank you, Master Bai Bao. I already have the travel permit. I'll go check it out in a while."

Bai Bao was secretly surprised, not expecting Meng Chuan to have such a thing in his possession.

He had originally prepared one for the boy, but seeing that he had one, he accepted it.

Then, he got straight to the point:

"Xiao Meng, now that you've entered Shaolin, is there anything you'd like to learn?"

Do you want to learn Arhat Fist to build a foundation, or cultivate Prajna skills to comprehend Zen principles?

I had originally intended to test Meng Chuan, but after the incident at Shuce Cliff, there was no need for that.

The ability to see the nature of the patriarch Kasyapa is proof of one's affinity with the Dharma.

As long as one has sufficient understanding of martial arts principles, all Shaolin techniques can be learned.

Master Bai Bao's words resonated deeply with him.

The Eighteen Arhats series of martial arts techniques are definitely something I need to learn.

Otherwise, how could one summon the "soul" of an Arhat using martial arts luck?

As for Prajna practice...
Meng Chuan wanted to learn the Prajna Skill, known as the number one external martial art in the Great Chu Dynasty, the [Dragon Elephant Prajna Skill].
Let's get back to reality. This method has terrifyingly high requirements for physical fitness and related martial arts principles.

He estimated the requirements for entering this method.

At the very least, one needs to have mastered several truly advanced Buddhist skills to lay a solid foundation.

It is necessary to break through some limitations to better suit the characteristics of this practice.

Currently, I possess three major Buddhist martial arts skills: one at the low, one at the intermediate, and one at the high level.

Therefore, he did not seek more than he could at Shaolin Temple to practice other things.

After all, the focus now should be on cultivating Baxia Gong and breaking through the limits [Transcendence (Core)] as soon as possible.

He thought for a moment, then said:

"Master Bai Bao, I want to learn the Heart Sutra mantra and the Eighteen Arhats series of martial arts that can temper one's spiritual power."

If I have the opportunity, it would be even better to study the Yi Jin Jing and Xi Sui Jing.

The last two techniques are the most famous martial arts secrets of the ancestral home of Zen Buddhism, known even to ordinary people who do not practice martial arts.

The founder of the Dharma was none other than Bodhidharma, whom Meng Chuan had just met in the Mahavira Hall.

Bodhidharma meditated facing a wall for nine years, leaving behind the Yi Jin Jing and Xi Sui Jing.

According to legend, the current Xingyi Xiangxing is the stance training of the two major schools in the Great Chu.

It was created based on these two methods.

Meng Chuan himself has been practicing the Taiyi Three Talents Stance.

He felt that even if the rumors were influenced by Buddhism, they were somewhat exaggerated.

However, the creation of stance training must have drawn some of its essence from it.

Not only that, the previous abbot of Shaolin Temple, Xuanji, also created two divine skills based on the two scriptures.

The first is the "Tendon Changing and Soul Cleansing Method," and the second is the "Spirit Cleansing Divine Fist."

This demonstrates the extremely high historical status of these two methods; they are absolutely of ancestral importance.

Having come to Shaolin, Meng Chuan would naturally not be satisfied without tracing his origins.

Moreover, he felt that the key to comprehending the dual cultivation of form and meaning, and the two schools, lay in "special qualities".

However, the martial arts principles involved may be subtly related to the Yi Jin Xi Sui (Muscle/Tendon Changing and Marrow Cleansing) method.

It concerns the future, and we cannot miss it.

Upon hearing Meng Chuan's request, Bai Bao pondered for a moment and slowly said:
"The Heart Sutra that your master learned is not well-suited to strengthening mental power."

I also have another method here, the "Medicine Buddha's Method for Purifying the Six Senses and Recognizing Form," which aims to purify the six senses and rid oneself of inner demons.

He immediately nodded and said:

"Master Bai Bao, I want to learn!"

Meng Chuan had some prior knowledge that any method involving "purification of the six senses" was a secret kept within the Buddhist community.

Whether it's the Wushu Association's official website or other channels.

These are all "real things" that you can't learn even if you spend money.

This type of method is similar to the status of Qingming Locking Dragon and Nourishing Qi and Wearing Armor in Wudang.
