Chapter 15 Making Tea
Jiang Panyue, a woman dressed in gorgeous clothes, was almost fifty years old, but she was very well-maintained. Not only did she have few wrinkles on her face, but her temperament was also that of an extraordinary person, very noble.

Today, she was having a small get-together with her best friend at a private restaurant when, halfway through the meal, the restaurant owner suddenly announced that her daughter was also dining there, using her husband's card, and had even chosen a private room for two.

When Ms. Jiang heard that her daughter was also there, she naturally went over to check on her.

Soon, they arrived at the private room that their daughter had booked. It had a sliding door and was not very spacious, making it suitable for couples to have a small get-together.

She thought her daughter had come over alone because she was craving something sweet, and she was about to push the door open when she heard her daughter's voice and a man's response from inside.

"Sister Yuan, can I eat this?"

"No, don't push your luck. Eat this instead."

Wow, it's so tender!

Ms. Jiang: Σ(⊙▽⊙“a
Having been through it all, she immediately conjured up indescribable images. After all, being part of the wealthy elite, she had heard countless stories of how extravagant and chaotic the children's lives were—it was a chaotic mess.

This is outrageous! She doesn't want to end up like one of her old friends, whose daughter went out to have fun, got pregnant without her knowledge, and then had to go through a dramatic breakup.

Thinking of this, Ms. Jiang could no longer remain calm and flung open the door:

"Shut up!"

As the door was suddenly pushed open, the two people sitting inside eating were startled.

Lin Mo swallowed the abalone he had only eaten half of, nearly choking on it. Thick sauce still clung to his lips, and his eyes were filled with terror. What? Was the abalone poisonous?
Yuan Meng, on the other hand, was so startled that she dropped the sweet rice balls in her hand, which were her favorite.

Yuan Meng was about to turn around and scold her, but when she saw her mother standing angrily at the door, her mind went blank.

"Mom? Why are you here?"

Upon hearing this, Lin Mo quickly swallowed the abalone in her mouth, stood up, and greeted, "Hello, Auntie."

Meanwhile, Ms. Jiang, who was standing at the door, was also stunned. The scene inside was not what she had imagined. The two children's clothes were intact, and it seemed that they had scared the young man quite a bit. For a moment, even with her many years of experience, she felt extremely embarrassed.

Fortunately, Ms. Jiang had seen her share of ups and downs, and quickly regained her composure, smiling as she said:

"Oh, hello there too. I heard from the boss that Yuanyuan is here, so I came to check on her," Ms. Jiang said with a smile. Yuanyuan was Yuan Meng's nickname.
"Yuanyuan, aren't you going to introduce her to Mommy?"

Upon hearing this, Yuan Meng also stood up, a hint of helplessness in her eyes, and said, "This is my mother, and this is my colleague at the company, who is also my good friend, Lin Mo. Mom, you can just call him Little Black Dog."

Lin Mo:
"Get lost!" Ms. Jiang rolled her eyes at her daughter, glanced at Lin Mo, and said, "Well, I have to say, he's not bad looking, but he doesn't look very old. I wonder what his family does." She then continued, "I'll just call you Xiao Lin. It's okay, I just came to visit. You guys eat first."

I'm going to the teahouse across the street. Yuanyuan, why don't you bring Xiaolin over for a bit later?

Having said that, without giving Yuan Meng a chance to refute, Ms. Jiang nodded to Lin Mo, then turned and left.

With Ms. Jiang's departure, only two bewildered people remained in the room.

"Sister Yuan, what should we do? Should I leave?"

We're not even that familiar with each other, it would be so awkward to go over for tea on our first meeting, and what if they're just being polite?

"Stop going! Let's eat first, then we can go sit together. What are you afraid of?" Yuan Meng didn't seem to care. "Okay."

Seeing this, Lin Mo knew that it wouldn't be good to sneak away now; it would be impolite. Since that was the case, he decided to go and see what was going on, and make sure he had a full meal.

Meanwhile, Ms. Jiang told her old friend with whom she had been eating that she was going to the teahouse across the street. Her husband often came here for a cup of tea after his business dinner, which was very convenient.

In fact, Ms. Jiang herself knew that her daughter was growing up and would eventually date. She didn't object because she knew that dating was one thing, but as for marriage, that would depend on the actual situation. After all, in their social circle, arranged marriages were the norm.

However, while she didn't object, since she had met him, she didn't mind learning more about the young man.

Meanwhile, Yuan Meng and Lin Mo quickly finished their fight and, in less than twenty minutes, they walked into the teahouse across the street.

"Mom, I'm here!"

Hello, Auntie.

"Hey, don't stand there, Xiaolin, sit down."

In a very elegant and tasteful tea room, three people sat at a table with a set of Ru kiln tea utensils on it.

Because they needed to discuss some matters, the waiter left after preparing the food.

Seeing that Ms. Jiang was about to personally brew tea for him, Lin Mo quickly spoke up:
"Auntie, let me do it. I've learned a little."

Firstly, as a junior, it was inappropriate for an elder to brew tea. Secondly, he also wanted to try his tea-making skills, since the moment he saw the tea set, the corresponding tea-brewing actions had automatically appeared in his mind.

"Oh? I'll have to try it then." Ms. Jiang was a little surprised. After all, nowadays, people who learn to brew tea either make a living from it, or it's a personal hobby, and there's also a group of people who come from wealthy families and have learned some tea through whispers and observation.

Lin Mo got up to wash his hands, then sat down, took a deep breath, and relaxed completely. Even his demeanor changed, giving off a sense of tranquility.

Lin Mo took out the tea leaves and glanced at them. He knew at a glance that this should be a type of green tea, Xinyang Maojian.

Boil water, brew tea, press down with your wrist, and pour out the tea. However, the first brew is usually not drunk. After pouring it out, add water again to brew tea.

Then, Lin Mo demonstrated each of the following movements: skimming the foam, grinding the tea leaves, shaking the tea to release the aroma, pouring the tea into the sea, spreading the tea leaves, and returning them to their original state. His movements were unhurried and pleasing to the eye, clearly showing that he had received proper training.

Finally, pour the tea into three cups arranged in a triangular shape.

"Auntie, have some tea!"

"Hmm," Ms. Jiang accepted the tea that Lin Mo handed her with both hands, smelled it, and then took a small sip. Her eyes lit up immediately.

It has to be said that it was indeed much better than the tea she usually drank. After taking a sip, her mood calmed down a lot, and she even felt that the child in front of her looked more pleasing to the eye than before.

Lin Mo also took a sip, and the taste was indeed excellent. It had a sweet aftertaste and a rich tea aroma, several levels better than what he had drunk before. You really do get what you pay for.

Just as Lin Mo and Ms. Jiang were quietly savoring their tea, Yuan Meng, seeing his expression, couldn't help but speak up:

"What are you pretending for?!"

Lin Mo:
Ms. Jiang:
