Chapter 611 Anya's Role
Hattori is now somewhat disappointed because his attempts to subtly probe the matter throughout the day have been completely ineffective.

Perhaps Okita Souji sensed something, but he didn't agree. What a strange guy, I wonder what he's thinking.

"True swordsmanship never fears an enemy behind you."

That look in his eyes, like "You're too young, you need to learn and improve more, and one day you'll understand the essence of kendo," really disgusted Hattori.

If it weren't for the fact that a fight would be so intense and time-consuming, and would also affect the progress of the case, he would have definitely taught the other party a lesson.

It's definitely not because I can't beat them.

"Did you find anything?"

Hattori ignored him and looked at Conan.

The person who just died—exploding, self-immolating, and jumping off a building—fell from here. Hopefully, we can find some useful clues here.

He would never believe it if it were suicide!

What's even more ridiculous is that while the police were checking the location of the death from below, not a single officer was sent up to the spot where the victim fell.

Heiji Hattori knew he should tell Inspector Otaki about the situation, but he wanted to wait until Otaki checked it out first.

“There was a strange fan-shaped dried-out mark. It was raining when the deceased fell. Something must have been placed in this dried-out mark, but someone took it away before the police arrived and before we came up.”

The young detective, chin in hand, was incredibly serious, and Hattori's attitude towards him puzzled Okita Souji.

"Ask me quickly, ask me quickly."

Hattori Heiji glanced at Okita Souji out of the corner of his eye. Wouldn't a normal person be curious at this moment?
However, when Natsukawa went upstairs, Okita Souji didn't say a word, ignoring him completely.

"Xia Chuan-ge, so, have you discovered anything?"

Heiji Hattori immediately asked him a question.

"I've discovered something amazing."

Natsukawa spoke with a smile, her eyes filled with an indescribable strangeness, but Hattori Heiji did not notice.

"What?" The dark face stared intently at him.

“I noticed that Officer Otaki and the others aren’t here, but you’ve been checking things here without permission. If your dad finds out later, you might get beaten up.”

"How can it be."

The sharp glint in his eyes instantly turned into white, and then with a "Duang" sound, it turned into beady eyes.

“Kid, I allowed you to be there, but you let a kid onto the roof of the castle tower before the police even arrived. Have I been too lenient with you?”

The cold tone made Conan quickly follow the rope back to the observation deck. He was still a little intimidated by his imposing father, Hattori Heiji.

Being beaten is a minor matter; if they are directly barred from entering the scene, Officer Otaki wouldn't dare let them in either.

Then, when he hurriedly returned to the viewing corridor, he was greeted by a heavy fist.

"Kid, you think you'll be safe just because you're on a leash? It just rained, and the roof tiles of the castle tower aren't washed every day. They're covered in moss. Don't you want to die?"

Kogoro Mouri arrived late. He had just spoken with Heizo Hattori for a while, and good heavens, that troublemaker had gotten him into trouble again.

"Alright, a little education will suffice. At seventeen, he's in the middle of his rebellious phase," Xia Chuan said, offering a way out.

Hattori Heizo nodded slightly, his authority as a superior radiating from him at all times.

Although he was already used to it, Heiji Hattori still couldn't help but swallow hard.

That damned Xia Chuan-ge, needless to say, it must be related to Xia Chuan.

"Don't look at me like that. They're just trying to help you. This case is very important, and many people have died because of it."

Having exercised his fatherly authority, Hattori Heizo's imposing manner subsided somewhat.

"What do you mean?" Hattori Heiji was taken aback.

"We just found a tile below, and this isn't the first time it's been found. The case is very likely related to a body dumping case a few days ago, as well as several murder-for-treasure cases from thirteen years ago."

Hattori Heizo didn't hide anything, but he didn't say too much either. He gave a brief hint and then signaled for the unrelated personnel to leave.

Only then did Officer Otaki lead the forensic team up to examine the evidence.

Down below, the members of the tour group returned.

What are they coming back for?

“I called them back because they are involved in the case, and the murderer might be among them.”

This is someone Natsukawa just had Officer Otaki call back. Since Anya is there, it must be something.
He turned to look at Anya.

"Father, the murderer is that person."

Anya whispered something in Xia Chuan's ear.

Joel knew what was going on but didn't say anything. However, the others, including Ai Haibara, were completely unaware of the situation. So they found it strange that after Natsukawa called the person over, he didn't go up to ask questions but instead started talking to his daughter.

"is it him?"

Xia Chuan muttered something, then looked at the most honest one among them.

"Hey, officer, what can I do for you?"

Staring at him like that, Shigehiko Wakita suddenly felt his hair stand on end, as if he had been seen through.

But he was confident in his methods and left no evidence whatsoever, so it was impossible for him to be discovered!

"It's nothing, I just feel your face doesn't look very good."

Xia Chuan chuckled and shook his head, then stepped forward. "We've confirmed that this case wasn't a self-immolation; someone must have detonated something, which caused this person's death."

“Yuji Kato,” Conan added.

"Yes, the explosion caused Kato Yuji to lose his balance, and the flammable material on his clothes led to his fall. The only person who could have done this is one of you."

Upon hearing this, the remaining members of the group all changed their expressions.

Shigehiko Wakita secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Since they still didn't know what the explosive was, they probably hadn't discovered his method yet.

However, since they found flammable materials on the clothes, the Osaka police are indeed not simple.

But why did Grandpa still die thirteen years ago? And why haven't these police officers figured it out yet?

Thinking of his grandfather, Shigehiko Wakiita felt a surge of indignation, and his gaze toward the police turned hostile.

Hattori Heizo and Toyama Ginjiro noticed the anomaly, but didn't take it seriously, only slightly frowning.

"Xia Chuan-ge, do you already know who the murderer is?"

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Conan and Heiji Hattori came over, and even Souji Okita craned his neck to hear Natsukawa's reasoning.

He was very curious: was Xia Chuan, such a master, also a detective?

They just arrived, so why did it happen so quickly?
"But why can't it be an explosive device with accelerants on it, instead of on clothes?" Conan asked.

"Because I didn't smell anything suspicious on the ground, nor did I see any traces of flammable material. Didn't you look at the roof tiles for a long time and not find anything?"

Combustible materials may be washed away by rain, but they will never be completely wiped out.

Conan's attention was entirely focused on the roof tiles, searching for evidence of suicide, while Natsukawa seemed to have already seen through the murderer's plan. His knowing smile was truly intriguing.
