Chapter 332 LeEco's Stock Price Soars

Chapter 332 LeEco's Stock Price Soars
Jiang Yifeng believed Zhu Tong's words.

The 2014 Spring Festival Gala in its previous life was jokingly referred to as the Huayi Brothers Gala.

……

……

From this perspective, CCTV is determined to bring in foreign talent this year, and the chief director still has considerable power.

Of course, Jiang Yifeng also faces challenges and pressures.

Because he would also prioritize hiring his own people from Fengxing Media.

If the Spring Festival Gala is well-organized, everyone will be happy; if it's not, Jiang Yifeng will be questioned.

Jiang Yifeng has a very active mind; after only chatting for a short while, he already had a general idea.

Using the stage setup of the new Yangshi building and combining it with cutting-edge AR visual effects technology, create a gala themed "Water Benefits All Things, Success is Achieved in an Instant."

The performance could begin with an underwater dance, "Prayer (Ode to the Goddess of the Luo River)," culminating in a Three Gorges-themed dance drama, and conclude with "Chang'e Flying to the Moon" paired with a "Jade Plate," showcasing the Chinese people's philosophy towards nature—being close to nature, respecting nature, transforming nature, and achieving a modern harmony between humanity and nature.

At the same time, it can also celebrate the modernization of the motherland and showcase the achievements of development.

AR technology has matured in professional applications. CCTV used this technology in the 2015 Spring Festival Gala to enhance the stage effects.

It is possible for Jiang Yifeng to apply it a year ahead of schedule, but the challenges are significant, and it will require collaboration between the Classic of Mountains and Seas Lab and Monster Special Effects Studio.

In Jiang Yifeng's view, since language-based programs are difficult to make stand out, the focus should be placed on song and dance programs and stage design and visual effects, using music and visuals to achieve a stunning and shocking effect.

Jiang Yifeng shared his idea of using AR technology with Zhu Tong.

Zhu Tong was completely dizzy; she had never even heard of this technology before.

Jiang Yifeng explained, "ESPN has used AR technology for three consecutive years during the Super Bowl broadcast, generating tactical deployment images above the stadium, which has been well received by viewers."

My lab has acquired the German company Metaio, and we have some technical expertise in AR visual effects. While we may not achieve truly stunning effects, we can definitely enhance the visual effects of stage performances.

Metaio has been deeply involved in the field of AR visual effects for ten years and has a very high level of technical expertise.

However, AR is not yet widely used in the consumer sector, making it difficult for the company to generate profits.

The Shan Hai Jing Labs acquired the company for only $2200 million.

In its previous life, Apple acquired Metaio in 2015 for only around $3000 million.

Zhu Tong said frankly, "I don't know much about this. Director Jiang, could you explain it in more detail?"

Jiang Yifeng took a sip of tea and said with a smile, "To put it simply, I want to use visual enhancement technology to create various scenes such as underwater, starry sky, and bright moon on the Spring Festival Gala stage."

These scenes are not like the flat stage sets of the past, but three-dimensional, dynamic, and immersive, making them look more realistic.

Large-scale stage AR requires powerful graphics workstations and sophisticated infrared optical tracking systems, which my lab can handle.

There are currently two major challenges:
One is how to achieve real-time rendering calibration during live streaming.

During live broadcasts, we need to precisely and millisecond-by-millisecond attach virtual elements to actors moving at high speeds, which requires extremely complex real-time camera tracking and spatial positioning technologies.

For other live streaming platforms, we can increase the live stream delay, such as by three to five minutes, to reduce the workload.

However, the Spring Festival Gala's live broadcast is usually delayed by 30 seconds, which greatly increases the technical difficulty and requires us to experiment and improve repeatedly.

They could either sacrifice some visual effects and make compromises in the stage design, or appropriately increase the live stream delay time, such as a delay of 45 seconds or one minute.

The second challenge is cost.

AR technology is still very expensive. I can offer discounts on technical services for the Spring Festival Gala, but the purchase and maintenance of related equipment is a considerable expense.

This requires prior approval.

But I personally think this is a good thing for CCTV.

If the Spring Festival Gala is successful, then CCTV can use these stage effects for other galas and programs in the future.

What the Spring Festival Gala needs now is novelty.

Using AR technology in the Spring Festival Gala not only showcases my country's technological achievements and encourages innovation, but also provides viewers with a refreshing experience, making it a worthwhile investment.

Zhu Tong didn't know much about visual effects technology, but she understood Jiang Yifeng's explanation of live broadcast delays and gala costs very well.

Zhu Tong said, "Then I'd appreciate it if you could prepare a plan for the gala and estimate the costs so I can report to my superiors."

"no problem."

After chatting for a while longer, He Haimin and Zhu Tong left, satisfied.

No sooner had they left than Yang Mi "appeared" and hurriedly walked into the office.

She was wearing a business suit, except that one button on her shirt was missing, her pencil skirt was very short, her black stockings were very thin, and her high heels were very sparkly.

This outfit, paired with Yang Mi's swaying figure, is incredibly alluring.

Jiang Yifeng commented directly, "You're so sassy!"

This earned him a big eye roll from Yang Mi.

Yang Mi said with a slightly nasal tone, "If I didn't take the initiative to come to your office, how would I ever see you? You didn't invite me to your trip to Dali. There are so many female characters in 'Lost in Thailand,' but I didn't see any of them!"

Even Real Men didn't take care of me, and I lost to the unknown Wang Zhi!

"I'm so angry!"

The show "Real Men" started filming in mid-May and aired in early June. The last episode just aired a couple of days ago.

The program was ultimately broadcast jointly by Sohu and Yangshi, and it achieved excellent online viewership and ratings, resulting in a very good overall effect.

Yang Mi and Tong Liya both performed well on the show.

Especially Yang Mi.

Because of Jiang Yifeng's presence, Yang Mi was very serious on the show, didn't flirt with any men, and had a very positive image.

Her bouncy breasts were made into various video clips and went viral online.

You can point out all sorts of flaws in Yang Mi, but when it comes to popularity, she's undeniably top-tier; her popularity has consistently been at the highest level.

Even a flop can have some memorable moments.

The airing of "Real Men" did help boost Yang Mi's popularity, which is a good thing.

However, the final champion of the show was Wang Zhi, who performed better. Wang Zhi has been learning martial arts since childhood and even served as a village official after graduation. Her performance in military training was outstanding, and her image was more suitable for Wolf Warrior 2.

She deservedly won the championship and landed the lead role in Wolf Warrior 2.

But Yang Mi was very unhappy.

Losing to a completely unknown star was unacceptable to Yang Mi.

Especially at the end of the last episode, everyone took off their military uniforms and held a victory celebration banquet.

Wang Zhi wore a low-cut dress, showcasing her undeniable strength.

The audience suddenly realized that Wang Zhi was also hiding her true abilities; she had simply deliberately entangled herself during the military training so as not to affect the training results.

Compared to Yang Mi, viewers now prefer Wang Zhi.

Wang Zhi became famous by stepping on Yang Mi's head.

Unfortunately, Yang Mi had no way to retaliate or target Wang Zhi because Wang Zhi had signed with Fengxing Media before recording Real Men.

Frustrated, Yang Mi went directly to Jiang Yifeng's house to complain.

She continued, "I heard you're going to film Ghost Blows Out the Light? If you want to make it up to me, why don't you let me play Shirley Yang? I believe in Yang anyway."

Jiang Yifeng retorted, "Who said I was going to make a Ghost Blows Out the Light movie?"

Yang Mi took out her phone and opened Toutiao News, which featured an interview with Tianxia Bachang, mentioning the film and television adaptations of Ghost Blows Out the Light.

Tianxia Bachang expressed his high expectations for the film and television adaptation of Ghost Blows Out the Light and his full confidence in Jiang Yifeng's abilities.

Yang Mi went around in circles for a long time, but she still came to ask for resources.

Jiang Yifeng slapped her buttocks and commented, "Not round or perky enough, you need to practice more."

Yang Mi responded with an "ah" and said, "Last time I wanted to invest in LeEco, you stopped me."

LeEco's stock price has skyrocketed, and I don't blame you.

So much has happened, I've suffered so much injustice, you should compensate me with a role, right?

Starting in late June, LeEco's stock began to rise, and now its market value is close to 6 billion yuan, an increase of nearly 200%.

The main reason is "Tiny Times".

Guo Jingming's Tiny Times 1 and 2 were released back-to-back, and the two films grossed a total of 7.84 million yuan at the box office.

Both films had very low production costs, and their box office performance was extremely profitable.

Tiny Times was produced and distributed by LeEco.

With such high box office returns for a low-budget film, coupled with Jia Yueting's manipulations, LeEco's stock price soared.

The celebrity shareholders who bought LeEco stock, including John Woo, Chow Yun-fat, and Huang Lei, were overjoyed, and many celebrities increased their investment in LeEco.

Some people even invested in LeSports, hoping to make a fortune.

For example, Zhang Yimou invested 6000 million yuan, and Liu Tao and his wife also invested tens of millions of yuan...

Yang Mi is not only a member of the Teddy Sisters group and maintains a sisterly relationship with Gan Wei, but she is also the female lead in Tiny Times.

Gan Wei approached Yang Mi for investment multiple times, and Yang Mi was very tempted.

She had previously helped Jiang Yifeng "devise strategies" for LeEco, and later asked Jiang Yifeng for his opinion.

Jiang Yifeng explicitly stated that there should be no internal subscription, but some could be purchased on the secondary market.

After much deliberation, Yang Mi realized that she hadn't bought any shares even though they were available for cheaper through internal subscriptions, and she didn't want to buy any more on the secondary market.

So nothing was done.

Seeing LeEco's stock price soaring, Yang Mi says it's impossible not to regret it.

Hearing Yang Mi's words, Jiang Yifeng smiled and said, "I'm doing this for your own good. If you resent me, there's nothing I can do."

"Don't talk nonsense, I don't blame you."

"If I don't have any grievances against you, I shouldn't be talking about compensation. I don't owe you anything."

Yang Mi: "..."

Seeing that she couldn't get the role, Yang Mi took off her bodycon skirt and black stockings, untied the knot of her shirt at the waist, and completed the transformation in an instant.

The loose, long shirt covers the upper thighs, creating the visual effect of not wearing anything on the lower body, enticing men to explore.

It has to be said that Yang Mi has a pretty good taste when it comes to dressing up.

Seeing Yang Mi crying, Jiang Yifeng finally offered compensation.

Seeing Yang Mi carefully and diligently finishing up, Jiang Yifeng said, "Huanrui's next TV series, 'Swords of Legends,' has already been approved. Your studio can invest in it, and you can play the female lead."

Jiang Yifeng is the kind of person who responds better to gentle persuasion than force, so in the end he gave Yang Mi a sweet treat.

Hearing this, Yang Mi was secretly delighted. Although it wasn't a huge opportunity, it was at least a resource.

She asked instinctively, "Don't Huanrui's dramas all have their own independent casting?"

Jiang Yifeng smiled and said, "Don't ask anything else, just wait for the investment and the acting."

Jiang Yifeng's emergence has greatly changed the landscape of the entertainment industry.

Huanrui was acquired by Sohu, so Yang Mi naturally didn't sign any performance-based agreement.

The copyright for Gu Jian Qi Tan is held by H&R Century Pictures. At present, it has only been initiated, and the specific investment amount is yet to be determined.

Everything depends on how well "Zhu Xian" is broadcast.

If Jade Dynasty succeeds, Huanrui will have a certain degree of autonomy; if it fails, Huanrui's structure will need to be adjusted.

This was something that had been agreed upon beforehand.

However, Jiang Yifeng could sense that Zhang Chaoyang's desire to retire was growing stronger.

The claim that the broadcast effect of "Zhu Xian" was just an excuse made by Zhang Chaoyang.
