Chapter 196 Testing
Murgard looked at Scarlett.

He didn't know if his ribs were still hurting, but he certainly had a headache.

He always felt that this brat was insidious and ruthless, clinging to him like a ghost, impossible to shake off.

The fire burned all night, yet it didn't kill her; instead, she came looking for her.

headache.

My head is killing me!

Murgard dared not speak his anger, and could only slowly turn his head, trying his best to smile.

Scarlett had smiled at him so obsequiously before.

Now, the more painful his smile is to Scarlett.

Mergard: "You, what brings you here?"

Scarlett picked up a grape from the side and slowly peeled it. "Oh, I'm here to find the murderer and arsonist."

Mergard perked up, still trying to bluff, "Did you find it?"

Scarlett popped a peeled grape into her mouth and exclaimed, "So sweet!"

She looked up at Murgard, her eyes crinkling into a smile, and said in an extremely innocent tone, "I found you! Isn't it you?"

Murgard lowered his eyelids, staring at the fruit knife pressed against his throat, sweating profusely as he tried to deny it: "No, it wasn't me, it absolutely wasn't me."

"Alright, stop rambling. I said it's you, so it's you."

Scarlett narrowed her eyes and glared at him, saying impatiently.

Mergard was so frightened by that look that his scalp tingled, and the words stuck in his throat, and he dared not continue.

Scarlett picked up the grapes, glanced around, walked to the sofa in the living room, stretched out her legs, lay down on the sofa, and said lazily, "This place is nice, it's mine now."

“No, that wouldn’t be appropriate,” Mergard politely declined.

“Mo Ting, give him two more poison pills, make them strong, so they take effect every day, to teach him a lesson.” Scarlett ignored his refusal.

"No, no need." Mergard had a bitter face, his life was even more miserable than his face.

Scarlett ignored him and said to herself, "Brian, Ashley, come here and peel some grapes for me. Riley, see what kind of secret hideout he can develop here."

"Chiye, Holster, Zheko, you guys take care of his bodyguards. You'll be his bodyguards and keep an eye on this old bastard to make sure he doesn't do anything bad."

"Tyron, could you massage my legs? I've been squatting for ages and they're really tiring."

Scarlett directed everything methodically, acting like the newly crowned queen of this luxurious office.

As for the former king, he is now being forced to swallow two real poison pills by Mo Ting.

Then I saw the escape tunnel open and more and more people coming in.

Some of them served Scarlett.

Some of the people who solved his problem.

Scarlett lay on the velvet sofa with her back to the desk, out of Mergard's sight.

After he swallowed the poison.

As if sensing something, Scarlett raised her hand, and a remote control appeared in her fair hand.

She pressed one of the buttons under Mergard's bewildered gaze.

moment!

Murgard shuddered, his stomach wracked with pain, as if a mischievous child inside him was kicking, tearing, and biting at his internal organs.

He held onto the edge of the desk, clutching his stomach, and tried to hold on for a while, but finally couldn't take it anymore. He rolled onto the floor, screaming and rolling around.

This pain is a hundred times worse than the pain three inches below the ribs!
"Mergard, this is just the first level of pain. If you make me unhappy again, next time I'll let you taste the second level of pain, and I'll make sure you feel amazing."

Scarlett turned off the remote control.

But the pain didn't disappear immediately, and Murgard rolled on the ground for a while before he recovered.

He got up from the ground, his face pale and his lips black, and walked up to Scarlett. He said with a mournful face, "Scarlett, you, you are my master now. I will do whatever you say. I am old and can't take any more trouble. Please, please let me go."

Scarlett glanced at him. "Mergard, have you ever let anyone else go?" Mergard shut his mouth, not daring to reply.

……

……

News of the Jiajia Theater burning to the ground and the loss of all its inhabitants quickly reached Rachel.

Mantua was very nervous, thinking Scarlett was dead, and anxiously asked her sister, "Sister, what should we do? Should we still proceed according to plan?"

Rachel looked in the direction of Lanxi Street. "The absence of bones means no bodies were found. No bodies prove they are not dead. Don't worry, continue according to plan."

Manchusa nodded and said, "Sister Vivian just came over and said Francis is back."

Rachel looked up, concealing the surprise on her face, and calmly asked, "And then?"

Manchusa relayed the information truthfully, "She said Scarlett is quite capable, and she agreed."

Rachel smiled gently. "Let's go see her."

As the two stepped out the door, they bumped into Aphrodite. Aphrodite glanced at Rachel, who understood and turned to Manchusa, saying, "Manchusa, go to the wine cellar and pick out two bottles of red wine. Francis rarely comes back, so let's drink until we drop tonight."

Mantua liked Francis very much.

For some reason, she left here eight years ago, wandered for three years before returning. When she came back, she didn't go directly to them, but instead opened a clinic on Langton Street and disguised herself as a male to sever ties with them.

They're finally back.

Manqiusha was very happy. Upon hearing that her sister was going to drink until she was drunk, she immediately went to the wine cellar to get the wine without saying a word.

As soon as she leaves.

Iveney's expression immediately turned serious. "You told Scarlett about us?"

Rachel looked at her, her brow furrowed slightly, and asked in a low voice, "What is it?"

Aphne: "Ore."

Aphne told Rachel the news she had just gathered from outside: "A new ore shop has opened on Lanxi Street, filled with all kinds of ores. This morning, Murgard sent three teams to dig in the nearby mountains. They had a great haul, and he owns the ore shop."

"He drove it?"

Rachel raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smile playing on her lips. "Scarlett is still alive."

"Not only is she not dead, but she also knows why we were wanted in the first place." Aphne narrowed her eyes, a hint of ruthlessness cracking across her beautiful face.

"uncertain."

Rachel thought for a few seconds and dismissed Aphrodite's suggestion, "It's possible that Michelle was exposed."

“Michelle?”

Upon hearing the name, a look of disgust flashed in Iveney's eyes. "She really is Sack's most loyal dog. Even in this state, she still wants to find something to rescue him."

“Michelle’s business is none of ours, let them be,” Rachel said coldly.

Aphne hummed in agreement, looked up at Rachel, and was about to say something when she caught a glimpse of Manchusa's hem appearing in the doorway. She pursed her lips and said nothing more.

……

……

Murgard runs a mineral shop on Lanxi Street.

Hearing the commotion, Michelle yawned and turned to her companion, asking, "Did you see clearly? Were they sent by Murgard?"

The man nodded and confirmed, "I saw it clearly. There were three teams digging purposefully on the mountain, and they found something in no time."

Michelle yawned again. "Alright, keep monitoring. If we dig anything up, we'll make our move. Those three idiots are dead; it's our turn to take over here!"

The waiter nodded repeatedly, agreeing, "The boss is right!"

News of the opening of a mineral shop in Mergard spread like wildfire, and those who were interested always managed to find out.

The owner of Flür Manor also received the news at the same time.

She bent her fingertips and tapped them twice on the table. She lowered her eyes thoughtfully, then turned to instruct the steward to prepare a carriage; she was going out for a while.
