Chapter 129 Pink
Beside the backyard door, a rabbit-like girl in a white dress slowly walked in, touching the door as she entered.

Her face was fair, soft, and lovely, but her pink eyes were unfocused, and her two pink rabbit ears drooped slightly among her long pink hair.

Jiang Mian noticed that the rabbit girl hadn't seen the threshold and seemed about to step over it. She quickly walked over and supported her, holding her arms tightly. "Be careful."

Because Jiang Mian grabbed her arm, the rabbit girl didn't step over and quickly let go. Her hands instinctively tightened their grip on Jiang Mian's arm slightly. As if hearing Jiang Mian's voice, she loosened her grip and slowly turned her face towards Jiang Mian, her voice soft and weak, "Sister Mian?"

Jiang Mian smiled faintly and nodded: "Yes, it's me."

Upon hearing Jiang Mian's voice, Qi Yun smiled shyly and slowly explained why she was there: "My brother came to clean today, and I asked him to bring me here so I could find Sister Mian."

"I'm practicing medicine right now." Jiang Mian smiled slightly and helped her walk over there. "Let me take you to sit over there first. I still need to continue practicing medicine."

“Okay, Sister Mian,” Qiyun replied softly. “I won’t disturb you.”

So Jiang Mian took Qi Yun's hand and slowly walked over with her. After helping her sit down on the chair next to her, she continued to work at the lab table.

Qiyun was indeed unusually quiet. Jiang Mian didn't speak, and neither did she. She sat there quietly listening to the sounds of Jiang Mian operating the experimental table.

Jiang Mian quickly completed a portion of the experiments.

She couldn't very well leave the rabbit girl sitting there idly.

Jiang Mian then stopped the experiment he was conducting; there was no rush to do the other half of the experiment now.

"Do you still have your special potion?" Jiang Mian sat down on another chair next to her and asked softly. "If not, you can have a few made here now so you can take them back later."

"There's more," Qi Yun said softly, her hands slightly curled into loose fists and placed above her knees, her legs pressed together, her back slightly straight, her posture looking obedient, reserved and polite.

"That's good. If you don't have any, you can come to me to make your own potions." Jiang Mian smiled slightly.

"Thank you, Sister Mian." Qi Yun smiled shyly, her eyebrows and lips curving slightly. Her unfocused pink eyes had no fixed point of gaze, but her cheeks flushed a light pink.

"It's alright." Jiang Mian couldn't help but reach out and rub the girl's head; the bunny girl was just too well-behaved.

Qi Yun simply lowered her head slightly, her long pink hair falling down and obscuring the involuntary curve of her lips. Her hands, which were resting on her knees, tightened slightly.

Sister Mian is so gentle, I like her so much.

"Let's review the medicinal plants needed for your special potion," Jiang Mian said slowly.

"Mmm." Qiyun nodded like a chick pecking at rice.

Jiang Mian then handed her the medicinal plant, letting her touch it, smell it, and guess what it was. If she couldn't guess, Jiang Mian would tell her the answer.

So Jiang Mian helped her identify the medicinal plants for a while.

Qixu had already cleaned the house and came to find Qiyun.

When he saw Jiang Mian, his pink eyes flickered slightly before he quickly lowered his gaze.

Qi Xu thought Jiang Mian wasn't home.

I never expected Jiang Mian to be in the small building today.

He hurried over, quickening his pace, his voice light and clear: "Master, I thought you weren't here. If I had known you were here, I would have definitely come over to say hello first."

"It's nothing." Jiang Mian just smiled casually.

There was a loud banging on the door.

Upon hearing such knocking, one knows the visitor is up to no good.

Jiang Mian assumed it was the same group of orc doctors coming to cause trouble again. She slowly stood up, glanced at Qi Xu, and said, "You guys stay here, I'll go out and take a look."

Upon hearing the knocking, Qi Xu naturally sensed that the visitor was up to no good, and he quickly said, "Master, I'll go with you."

He looked at Qiyun and said, "Little sister, sit here and don't wander around. Those people outside are probably up to no good. I'll go and help Master deal with them."

Qi Yun nodded: "Yes, brother, let's go together."

Jiang Mian didn't say anything more after hearing what Qi Xu had said.

"Let's go," Jiang Mian said, taking the lead and walking ahead.

Qi Xu hurriedly followed behind her.

Jiang Mian quickly arrived at the door and opened it.

Instead of the orc doctor she expected, she was met with a large number of wounded orcs.

Jiang Mian paused for a moment; these beastmen had almost completely crowded the alleyway.

"Doctor, please treat me quickly!" A group of orcs rushed over the moment the door opened.

Their faces showed a mixture of fervor and anxiety.

"No, no, doctor, please examine me first!" The orcs behind crowded around the orcs in front.

Seeing an orc about to crash into them, Qi Xu quickly stepped in front of Jiang Mian, her voice icy cold: "No crowding! Quiet!"

"Get out of the way!" The orc's hand landed on Qixu's shoulder, as if he was about to push him away with force.

However, instead of pushing him away, he was suddenly thrown over the shoulder and slammed to the ground by Qixu.

At the same time, a loud gunshot rang out.

In an instant, the other orcs fell silent.

The beastmen all looked at Jiang Mian.

Jiang Mian slowly lowered his gun. The shot that missed earlier was naturally meant to intimidate. After intimidating the enemy, he slowly said, "If you're going to get treatment, just wait in line. Otherwise, don't bother getting treatment at all. Go somewhere else."

As she spoke, rows of guns appeared in the room behind her.

The girl stood there, and the rows of guns behind her looked very intimidating.

The beastmen were quiet for a while.

One of the orcs, who had been assigned by another orc doctor, glanced around and then shouted as he rushed forward, "Get out of the way! I was here first! I want to be number one!"

At this shout, the other orcs seemed to suddenly realize what was happening and hurriedly scrambled to be the first in line at the entrance.

The scene instantly descended into chaos, completely blocking the alley. If this continued, it was possible they would even break into Jiang Mian's small building.

Moreover, Jiang Mian can't possibly treat so many people; wouldn't treating them be exhausting for her?

"Quiet!" Jiang Mian fired another blank shot, and after the orcs quieted down for a moment, she quickly spoke up, "Today I will only receive ten orcs, and I will choose these ten orcs myself!"

She glanced around indifferently: "Those who look so capable and competitive seem to be able to do without treatment."
