Chapter 244 Extra: Lan Cangming and An'an 1
The salty seawater choked her throat, and Su An'an suddenly opened her eyes.

Sunlight penetrates the shallow water, casting shimmering spots of light on the coral reef.

She instinctively tried to kick her legs to float, but a tearing pain shot through her legs.

Her once slender legs had now become a fish tail with a pale pink sheen, its scales reflecting a pearly halo in the sunlight.

The tail fin, however, has an eerie transparency, as if it might dissipate at any moment.

"How is this going?"

She pressed her throbbing temples, fragmented thoughts flashing through her mind.

A torch flickers in a dark cave, a man's strong back, a strange stone sculpture suddenly come to life...

"careful!"

The blurry man in her memory suddenly pushed her away, and the black mist spewed from the stone sculpture instantly engulfed his figure.

"what!"

Su An'an curled up with a splitting headache, and when she opened her eyes again, even those fragmented images had disappeared.

"Your Highness, you are finally awake!"

A clownfish with pink spots on its head emerged from a crevice in the coral and anxiously circled around her.

The mechanical sound it emitted was intermittent, like a radio being jammed.

"You and Blue, are under a curse, the Black Priest, the Abyss..."

"say clearly!"

Su An'an swayed her newly grown pink fishtail as she approached.

The clownfish suddenly spat out a glowing bubble, which landed precisely on her wrist: "Look, Divine Contract."

Su An'an looked down and saw a blurry golden pattern faintly visible under her skin, like a contract splattered with ink.

"Woo!"

The muffled sound of a conch shell horn came from afar.

The clownfish suddenly spun around excitedly, its head flashing with pink light: "It's the Blue Fleet!"

"Pfft!"

A blue ice spike pierced the fish's head, and the mechanical sound instantly turned into a piercing noise:
"Zi, Lan, amnesiac, Your Highness, escape!"

The pink light went out, and the fish carcass slowly sank.

Before Su An'an could react, a strong current had already knocked her over onto the coral reef.

She looked up in pain and met a pair of cold blue eyes.

His blue hair floated like seaweed in water, his gill covers behind his ears opened and closed slightly, and his chest and arms were covered with fine silver scales.

Its tail fin is strong and powerful, and with a slight sway it draws a sharp arc, exuding an inviolable majesty.

For some reason, Su An'an's heart skipped a beat.

She seemed to have seen those eyes before.

"A hybrid?!"

Lan Cangming stared at the pink mermaid's flickering tail, his voice low and dangerous:
"Who sent you?"

Su An'an sensed the danger posed by the man and instinctively turned to run away, but he grabbed her by the neck and pressed her against the sharp coral.

A sharp pain shot through her back. She gritted her teeth, and instinctively gathered pink divine light in her palm, then slammed it against his chest.

"Uh." Lan Cangming groaned and suddenly let go.

His scales became scalding hot the moment they touched the pink light, and a burning pain shot through his chest.

The burning sensation felt strangely familiar.

Su An'an seized the opportunity to escape, her pink fishtail slicing through the sea as she swam swiftly.

"stop!"

Lan Cangming drew a sharp arc in the water with his silver tail and reached out to grab her wrist.

Su An'an suddenly retreated, using her pink fishtail to push off the coral reef, but her strength suddenly gave way.

The edge of the tail fin began to turn transparent.

"Damn it!"

She gritted her teeth and unleashed a burst of pink light, which Lan Cangming dodged by sidestepping.

The light grazed his silver scales, exploding into tiny bubbles on the seabed.

Lan Cangming's handsome face darkened, and several ice crystal chains condensed in his palm, instantly wrapping around her waist.

A bone-chilling cold spread along her scales, and she was startled to realize that her tail fin was rapidly freezing.

"Let me go!" She struggled and threw a punch, but her arms were bound by more ice chains. Lan Cangming swam to her, his silver hair floating in the seawater, a hint of emotion she couldn't decipher flashing in his eyes.

"Shut up!" he said in a deep voice, his fingertips lightly tapping her lips, sealing them with a final layer of ice crystals.

The mermaids' prison is located deep in an underwater canyon, surrounded by glowing deep-sea plants.

Su An'an was thrown into a huge water prison. A semi-transparent barrier separated the seawater, leaving only waist-deep water.

She lay on the edge of the pool, her fish tail weakly slapping the water's surface.

The golden lines on my wrist were almost invisible in the dim light, but the feeling of being bound grew stronger and stronger.

Night falls, and the deep sea is plunged into darkness.

Not long after, the cell door was pushed open, and Lan Cangming walked in alone.

He changed into a simple silver robe, his long hair tied back. He looked less sharp than during the day, but his eyes remained cold.

“Name.” He stood by the pool, looking down at her.

Su An'an looked up and sneered, "Knowing my name, would you still lock me up here?"

Lan Cangming narrowed his eyes and suddenly reached out to grab her chin: "Tell me the truth, don't try anything funny."

Su An'an suddenly bit his wrist.

"hiss!"

He released her in pain, but just as she tried to flip out of the pool, he manipulated the water flow and shoved her back to the bottom.

“Move again,” his voice was as cold as ice, “and I’ll break your tail.”

Su An'an lifted her head from the water, her wet hair plastered to her face, her eyes burning with anger: "Then let's try it!"

She slammed into the cell door, and the barrier burst forth with blinding golden light, repelling her back into the water.

The splashing water dampened Lan Cangming's silver robe.

He stood there, a strange burning sensation surging in his chest once again.

Staring at her stubborn appearance, soaked to the bone, fragmented images suddenly flashed through my mind.

A rooftop swimming pool, twinkling stars, a gentle breeze, and shy roses hiding on the flower wall.

A woman in a pale yellow swimsuit walked towards him.

The instant she fell into the water, her legs transformed into a pink fishtail, intertwining with his...

"Who are you?"

Lan Cangming's pupils contracted, and his voice deepened slightly:
"Why did they appear in the mermaid sanctuary? And even intrude into the spawning area?"

Su An'an wiped the water droplets from her face, hunger mixed with anger rising to her head:

I said I don't remember anything.

"Amnesia?" Lan Cangming sneered, tiny ice crystals forming at his fingertips.
"Do you think I'd believe that?"

"Believe it or not, it's up to you."

Su An'an clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms:

"All I know is that I woke up in this sea, and I don't even know who I am."

"How do you explain the divine covenant mark?"

He took a step closer, his icy blue eyes sharp as knives. "The barrier of the Mermaid Sanctuary can only be touched by members of the royal bloodline."

"What right do you, a half-blood, have?"

Su An'an was caught off guard by the question, and a wave of dizziness washed over her.

She steadied herself by holding onto the pool wall: "I don't know what you're talking about."

"You still dare to quibble?"

Lan Cangming raised his hand to grab her shoulder, but she dodged to the side.

Amidst the splashing water, Su An'an's tail fin slammed hard against the surface:

"Instead of interrogating someone with amnesia, we should find out who's behind this!"

"marshal!"

The adjutant Rhea's voice came from outside the door: "Lord Sea Witch is looking for you."

Lan Cangming paused, gave Su An'an a cold glance as if to say that this matter was not over, and then turned and left.

The moment the prison door closed.

Su An'an finally couldn't hold on any longer and slid down the pool wall, the golden patterns on her wrists slightly burning.
