Chapter 190 Swan Brother Comes to Recharge

Su An'an could clearly hear that Seville's breathing behind her was slightly more rapid than usual.

A warm breeze brushed against the downy hair on the back of her neck, sending a slight shiver down her spine.

"I sleep on the floor."

Seville suddenly spoke, his voice lower than usual.

The last syllable of his voice carried an unnatural tension.

He turned to leave, but the white wings accidentally brushed against Su An'an's hand, causing her to freeze in mid-air as if electrocuted.

"You'll freeze outside."

Su An'an grabbed the tip of his feather, then realized what she had done and abruptly let go:
“I mean the hide is big enough.”

Seville's ears perked up instantly, and moonlight streamed through the cracks in the wall, illuminating the suspicious blush on the tips of his ears.

The two stood frozen in front of the bed, neither daring to look at the other.

The animal skin curtain of the shack was suddenly lifted.

Jinzhu and Luming entered one after the other.

"Huh? Why are you all still standing?"

Lu Ming tilted his head, his round, deer-like eyes filled with confusion:

"We have to get up early tomorrow, hurry up and put your little brother to sleep!"

Su An'an froze abruptly.

She almost forgot that, in Lu Ming's eyes, Seville in his cub form was her younger brother.

"Go to sleep now!"

She answered quickly, rushed to the animal-skin bed, and lay down nimbly.

Then, as if suddenly remembering something, she pulled a round little thing out of the animal skin bag.
"Qiuqiu, you'll sleep in the middle tonight."

It curled up tightly into a ball and still didn't react.

Seville stared at the cub that had suddenly appeared on the bed, his tense shoulders relaxing almost imperceptibly.

"Brother, come quickly!"

Su An'an greeted them with a smile and even patted the animal skin cushion thoughtfully.

Seville silently climbed into bed, his movements as light as a falling snowflake.

He carefully avoided the ball and lay down on the edge of the animal skin.

Jinzhu stood at the door with her arms crossed, and suddenly clicked her tongue meaningfully.

"Go to sleep, we have to go to the swamp tomorrow."

Lu Ming blew out the stone lamp and skillfully pressed it against the golden pearl.

The shack was plunged into darkness, with only Qiuqiu's even breathing remaining.

Su An'an turned to the side and looked at Seville beside her by the moonlight.

Seville, in his cub form, was facing away from her, but his black wings were spreading restlessly.

It rested on her thigh, the tips of the feathers still unconsciously fluttering gently.

Su An'an couldn't help but smile and secretly reached out to poke the tip of his feather.

"What?"

Seville immediately turned around.

His amber eyes gleamed dangerously in the darkness, yet his voice was kept extremely low:

"If you touch anything again, I'll throw you out."

Su An'an was not frightened at all; instead, she laughed even harder.

"So all swan cubs are this fierce?"

She deliberately dragged out the sound, her fingertips lightly tracing the black feathers of his wings:
“When you stand up for me during the day, you don’t act like this.”

Seville's ears turned bright red, but his face remained utterly cold.

"Don't flatter me, I just can't stand those good-for-nothings!"

Ball rolled over between the two of them, and its little paws landed squarely on Seville's face.

Taking the opportunity, Su An'an leaned closer and whispered in his ear, "Thank you no matter what."

Her breath brushed against his sensitive earlobe: "My 'little brother' is so reliable!"

Seville froze.

"Shut up and go to sleep."

He viciously ripped the animal skin over his head, forgetting that the wings were still draped over Su An'an's legs:

"Say one more word and I'll bite your throat off."

Su An'an suppressed a laugh and deliberately tickled the base of his feathers with her fingertips.

A muffled groan, barely suppressed, came from the darkness.

Then came a clenched, menacing threat: "Are you looking for death?" Seeing that Seville was provoked by her words, a sly glint flashed in Su An'an's eyes, but she quickly straightened her face again:
"We're going to hunt two-headed toads tomorrow; there might be some unexpected events."

She deliberately lowered her voice: "For safety's sake, let's charge it!"

The word "charge" made Sewell freeze.

He knew, of course, that the so-called "charging" was a unique way of replenishing energy between the beastman and the female master.

It requires the closest physical contact and spiritual connection.

Seville turned his face away, his white wings slightly folded, gleaming coldly in the moonlight.

Seeing this, Su An'an deliberately sighed softly and reached out to stroke the ball's dull scales:
"Now Qiuqiu and I can only rely on you."

"But if you don't want to top up, that's fine. I don't want to force you."

As he spoke, he turned his back to him, his voice lowering:
"It's all my fault, I'm always a burden to you all."

These words were like a tiny thorn, gently piercing Seville's heart.

He was silent for a moment, then finally nodded almost imperceptibly: "Charge it!"

Su An'an's eyes lit up, and she immediately reached out and pulled him into her arms.

"So warm!" she sighed contentedly.

The tendrils of mental energy, like gentle vines, slowly probed into Seville's body.

Seville stiffened slightly, but did not push her away.

He could feel pure energy flowing through his body.

It then flowed back into Su An'an's body through the mental link.

This strange resonance made his heart beat slightly faster, and his cold blood seemed to warm up.

The shack was so quiet that only their breathing could be heard.

"you!"

Seville looked up and found that Su An'an was already fast asleep.

Her brows were furrowed, as if she couldn't find peace even in her dreams.

Seville hesitated for a moment, then finally raised his hand and gently stroked the wrinkles between her brows with his fingertips.

Why is it so good now when things were so bad back then?

He didn't voice the question he wanted to ask.

But a tiny crack quietly appeared in her frozen heart.

Before the morning mist had even dissipated, a cacophony of footsteps echoed through the tribe.

Seville got up warily, and Su An'an was also awakened.

Manda's rough voice came from outside the shack:

"Don't sleep anymore, get up!"

Stepping out of the shack, the sight before her made Su An'an gasp in shock.

Manda led all the fighting females in the female cave, who lined up neatly.

They wore armor woven from vines and carried various weapons.

Several older females were distributing food bags, seemingly very confident about the hunt.

The old wolf chieftain stood not far away with a group of male beasts, his narrowed eyes gleaming with a cold light.

"Recently, the Tumeng tribe has been hunting the luminous frogs."

He spoke in a sarcastic tone: "What, you want to steal the food?"

"none of your business."

Manda glared at the old wolf, then turned to Su An'an and raised an eyebrow: "Hold your brother tight."

Su An'an had just reached out to grab Seville when he fluffed up his feathers and declared, "I can fly by myself!"

He took flight, his wingspan a third wider than the night before.

The overcharged black and white wings gleamed beautifully in the morning light.

Each feather is filled with a visible flow of energy.

Su An'an smiled and said, "Tell me if you're tired."

She deliberately added in a breathy voice, "After all, my younger brother is still small."

"Shut up!"

Seville threw her an ice eye and flew out of the tribe first.

"Follow!"

With a wave of his hand, Manda sent the beasts away from the tribe in a grand procession.

Not far away, the stinky bear squinted its beady eyes, and its fat body suddenly shimmered with an oily sheen.

They followed quietly.
