Chapter 201 Apprenticeship
The things in this mangrove forest that no one ever visits are really good.

We picked up about ten mud crabs weighing over a pound each, including three king mud crabs (weighing over five pounds).

They also found sixteen of those unidentified shrimp.

Other types of fish are excluded.

"Let's go, that's enough, we need to go back."

The weather looks like a strong wind is about to blow.

Winter weather is so unpredictable. Yunlin and his friends live by the sea, and their long experience has taught them how to read the weather without any instruction.

With their haul for the day, they were also incredibly lucky to catch two coconut crabs as they left.

Once on the boat, Yun Linhai slipped a boiled egg into Yun Jiao's hand.

"Jiaojiao, have something to eat to fill your stomach."

Yun Jiao nodded obediently, sat at the bow of the boat looking at the sea, her heart yearning to go out into the sea.

Unfortunately, her father and uncle were watching her closely.

"You can't go into the water, it's easy to get sick if you go out into the sea."

Yun Jiao puffed out her cheeks and reluctantly replied, "Okay."

I slowly stuffed the egg into my mouth, the sky growing increasingly gloomy, and the wind growing stronger.

The two people rowed the boat faster on Yunlin Lake and Yunlin River.

The calm sea gradually began to ripple; their boat was but a drop in the ocean, pitifully small.

As a result, the small wooden boat rocked violently on the undulating sea.

Yun Linhai called for Yun Jiao, who was sitting at the stern of the boat, to come back a little.

They were quite lucky and made it back to the dock before the strong winds picked up.

There are other fishermen at the dock during this season.

It seems they're not the only ones setting sail today.

But there was no time for pleasantries; they only exchanged brief greetings before getting busy with their own tasks.

"Second brother, something doesn't look right today. You should moor the boat in the harbor. I'll take Jiaojiao home first."

Although they didn't go into the water, there was still water in the mangrove forest. They were covered in mud and quite wet. Fearing that Yun Jiao would catch a cold, Yun Linhai carried a bucket in one hand and Yun Jiao in the other, and hurriedly headed home.

Seeing that the sky was not right, Grandma Yun and the others were anxiously waiting at the door. They were relieved to see that he had returned.

"Your pants are all wet. Go take a hot shower and change your clothes."

Shen Yunlian took Yun Jiao from her and carried her to take a bath.

In the wooden tub, the naked Xiao Yunjiao sat in the warm water, while Shen Yunlian wiped her face.

Today, Yun Jiao looked like she had rolled in a mud pit; her clothes, hair, and face were covered in filth.

But she had a silly smile, and her little white teeth were exceptionally neat and beautiful.

"Mom, we found a really big blue crab, and I also found a really strange kind of shrimp..."

Sitting in the basin, Yun Jiao played with the little wooden ducks and chicks she was carving, chattering away.

But she obediently cooperated with Shen Yunlian, tilting her head back and closing her eyes as she was told.

Once it's clean, it'll be a super cute, soft, milky-white little dumpling again.

It smells delicious too.

Shen Yunlian wrapped the limp person in a towel.

"That's amazing! Next time, I'll take Mom with me to look for it."

Yun Jiao nodded: "Okay."

I'm starting to dry my hair.

Children's hair tends to be soft, and Yunjiao is no exception.

But her hair was jet black and thick, with naturally curly ends.

Her hair was messy after being dried, but it looked soft and smooth, just like the chubby little Yun Jiao who looked very well-behaved.

She looks more and more like a porcelain doll.

good looking.

Shen Yunlian felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment looking at her daughter, whose skin was fair and whose face had chubby cheeks.

This is their chubby daughter; she really looks like Guanyin's little attendant.

She couldn't resist kissing her daughter's chubby little face.

It smells so good! Yun Jiao was obedient even after being kissed, looking at her with her clear and innocent eyes.

Shen Yunlian smiled happily and dressed her in the new red jacket with small floral patterns that she had bought.

It's beautiful; the more I look at it, the more it resembles a lucky doll.

After being taken out dressed in red, Yun Jiao naturally received a warm hug from her family and was given a bowl of ginger soup from Grandma Yun.

Yun Jiao's little face was all wrinkled from drinking.

But after I finished drinking it, they stuffed a piece of candy into my mouth to mask the taste.

The only things we got from this trip to the mangroves were some fish and eels.

They kept some for themselves; they made porridge with the eel bones, which was very nourishing.

They weren't selling any blue crabs, and there was also that thing that looked like a shrimp. Yunlin caught one and asked Awang, but he didn't recognize it either.

"I wonder if this tastes good or not, why don't we give it a try?"

"Can I eat it?"

"This thing looks edible."

However, they didn't try it easily and planned to take it to the Universiade Restaurant tomorrow to ask.

The larger mud crabs will be kept alive for now; they steamed a few smaller ones for dinner today.

The crab meat was delicious, but the shell was a bit difficult to clean.

Yun Jiao was strong; with a press of her little finger, she crushed the crab shell.

I perfectly extracted a section of crab leg meat, popped it directly into my mouth, and found it to be fresh, sweet, and chewy—delicious!

The next morning, Yun Jiao, dressed up beautifully again in her red coat, was dressed up once more.

In Yunlinhai, Grandpa Yun also wore new clothes and brought the prepared gifts to the county.

The others stayed at home.

Old Xu was also waiting. He had shown most of today's patients to his two apprentices, and sat in the clinic dressed in a black Tang suit.

Soon, a young apprentice came running over.

"Teacher, they're here."

Old Xu nodded calmly: "Go and bring the tea up."

As they were talking, Yun Jiao brought her two elders to the clinic.

The little girl, who looked like a lucky doll, received a lot of attention.

Old Xu's eyes lit up when he saw Yun Jiao enter.

Today is truly festive, and most importantly, it looks beautiful.

He waved to Yun Jiao: "Yun Jiao, come over here."

Yun Jiao ran over with her short legs: "Grandpa Xu."

"Good boy/girl. Come on, after you finish serving me this cup of tea, the apprenticeship ceremony will be complete. From now on, call me Master."

Yun Jiao nodded, took the tea handed to her by the young apprentice next to her, knelt on the cushion in front of Old Xu, and held up the tea to him.

Old Xu accepted the drink and the apprenticeship ceremony was completed in a simple formality.

He helped her up and then handed her a necklace.

A ring was hanging from a black rope.

It's dark in color and looks very simple and unpretentious.

However, this small ring was made of the finest black jade, and the words "Tianyi Yunjiao" were engraved on the inside of the ring.

The reason why they had to come to formally become apprentices every other day was so that someone could carve these words on the characters.

"Please wear this carefully. Our school of traditional Chinese medicine also has a lineage. Our ancestors were from the Tianyi Sect. This ring is a token of the Tianyi Sect. Direct disciples all receive it when they become apprentices. There are four senior brothers and sisters in front of you."

He called over two apprentices.

"This is your second senior sister Qin Xin, and your fourth senior brother Song Chengyou. Your eldest and third senior brothers are still out there. When they return, Master will introduce you to them."

Yun Jiao watched as a man and a woman walked over.

Qin Xin was a beautiful and gentle woman in her thirties, dressed in a white training uniform.

Song Chengyou was a young man in his early twenties, and probably because of his youth, he was also more lively.

I had insomnia last night, which caused a headache today. I'm not feeling well, so I'll only be posting one chapter today. I need to go to bed early and catch up on my sleep.
