Chapter 95: Is it more worthwhile to be the son-in-law of the Chi family than to ask for money?
Wen Jinnian stared at the person who had crouched down to sit in the car. The sharp and oppressive aura around her subtly disappeared the moment she sat down.

He turned his head to the side, a smile playing on his lips: "Scared just now?"

She gently shook her head: "I don't think Mr. Chi looks that scary."

"It seems that the old man made a good first impression on you."

As soon as he finished speaking, Li Mingyi started the car, and the lift panel in the back seat rose up.

Wen Jinnian hesitated for a moment, then asked softly, "Has your relationship with your father always been like this?"

Seeing the concern in her eyes, Chi Yige couldn't help but tease, "Are you worried about me?"

"No."

She lowered her eyes, her tone tinged with a hint of melancholy, "I just feel that you are lucky to still have your father. Unlike me, I only have my aunt left."

Chi Yige didn't reply, but simply reached out and covered her hand, the warmth of his palm seeping through her skin: "It was more awkward a few years ago, but you've been more comfortable these past two years."

Wen Jinian rarely heard Chi Yige talk about his father, so she took his hand in return and suggested, "Let's go see your father together next month."

Chi Yige was stunned, then his face lit up with surprise and delight: "Wen, does this mean you've accepted my identity?"

Wen Jinian, who only wanted to comfort him, hurriedly withdrew her hand upon hearing this, turned to look out the car window, but the corners of her lips involuntarily turned up.

"I didn't say that. I just wanted to hear about Dr. Chi's embarrassing childhood stories from Uncle Chi."

"Yes, from Mr. Chi to Uncle Chi, if that old man knew, he would probably give his soldiers extra training again."

As Wen Jinnian was wondering, she saw Chi Yige bend down and take a bottle of beverage from the mini-fridge. He took out a tissue and carefully wiped the water droplets condensing on the bottle before handing it over.

She took the drink, drank a few sips, looked up at him, her eyes full of confusion.

"When he's happy, his soldiers have to train extra; when he's unhappy, they have to train twice as much."

Wen Jinnian chuckled: "It seems being your dad's soldier is tough."

Chi Yige nodded, neither confirming nor denying.

As the two were talking, Wen Jinian's phone suddenly rang.

She glanced at the caller ID and quickly answered, "Hello, Yiyi, what's up?"

The receiver was filled with noisy background noise, mixed with Fu Yiyi's suppressed sobs.

She listened attentively for a few moments, then nodded and replied, "Okay, send me the address."

After hanging up the phone, Wen Jinnian's expression turned serious: "It seems that something happened to Yiyi at the Rosewood Bar."

Upon hearing this, Chi Yige raised his hand and tapped the lifting platform.

After the partition was lowered, he calmly said to Li Mingyi in the front row, "Let's go to the Rosewood Bar."

An hour ago, Fu Yiyi received a call from Jiang Beisen, who said he had something to tell her at the Rosewood Bar. Unable to resist his persistent persuasion, Fu Yiyi, curious about his purpose, agreed to meet him.

When she arrived at the private room, she saw Jiang Beisen smiling and beckoning her to come over for a drink.

Fu Yiyi, dressed in a Chanel-style suit dress, glanced at the men and women in the private room with a hint of disdain as her eyes swept over the crowd.

She walked straight to Jiang Beisen's side and sat down, taking a sip from her wine glass: "What do you want from me?"

"Yiyi, it's been so long since we've gotten together..."

"Suddenly remembered me? Is it because no one's paying for you again?" She interrupted him, raising a slight brow at the corner of her eye.

Jiang Beisen's face turned pale instantly, but he quickly put on a smile and reached out to grab her wrist.

"Why do you say that? I just miss you, and you never answer my calls..."

Fu Yiyi stared at Jiang Beisen's smiling face and suddenly recalled the scene of her brother and her best friend getting along.

The tenderness in her brother's eyes when he looked at Wen Jinian was the true love.

Compared to the insincere flattery of the person in front of her, she found it all laughable, and her patience for even the perfunctory response was almost exhausted.

Fu Yiyi placed her wine glass on the coffee table, grabbed her bag, and stood up to leave, but Jiang Beisen grabbed her wrist. "Yiyi, what are you doing?"

"Go pay your bill." She raised an eyebrow and sneered.

This time, Jiang Beisen was smarter: "It's not too late to buy it after it's over."

She shook off his hand and was about to take a step when Jiang Beisen winked at the people next to him. Two boys immediately blocked her way, each with a glass of wine: "Miss Fu, would you do me the honor of having a drink?"

"Let me go!" Fu Yiyi struggled as a mouthful of liquid was forcibly poured down her throat, causing her to cough violently.

Jiang Beisen took two steps closer, his eyes sinister: "I never expected... that you would have a connection with the Chi family."

Fu Yiyi raised her eyes and sneered. She hadn't expected him to have a brain and know to investigate her.

The liquor slid down her throat and into her stomach. Suddenly, she sensed something was wrong, gripped the sofa armrest tightly, and demanded, "What exactly did you put in the drink?"

A few lewd laughs rang out in the private room, and someone whispered in her ear, "Of course, it's to help Miss Fu and Young Master Jiang get together."

The group laughed and filed out of the private room, winking at Jiang Beisen as they left, "Young Master Jiang, have fun. We're going to join the fun on stage!"

The door to the private room clicked shut, and just as Fu Yiyi's fingertips touched her phone, Jiang Beisen snatched it away and threw it on the sofa.

A wave of dizziness spread from her temples. She forced herself to back up, and when her lower back hit the cold armrest of the sofa, she finally saw the desire in the other person's eyes.

"Jiang Beisen, let's talk this out."

"Yiyi, be my girlfriend, let's get engaged!"

Jiang Beisen took two steps closer, his eyes gleaming with greed.

She leaned back on the sofa and scoffed, "For the past few years, I've been your ATM, living off my money while you've been having affairs with other women. Now that you know my surname is Chi, you want to force yourself on me?"

"I'm doing this for your own good!" He grabbed her wrist tightly. "Those people in the port area are no match for you. I'm a top student, only I..."

"You don't deserve it." Fu Yiyi's eyes burned from the effects of the drug, but she still curled her lips and poked his chest with her fingertips.

"You're like a central air conditioner, wanting everything but yourself. Jiang Beisen, I must have been blind to have ever fallen for you."

Jiang Beisen ripped off his tie and threw it on the ground, tossed his suit jacket onto the sofa, and as he approached with his sleeves rolled up, Fu Yiyi gripped the edge of the sofa and shrank back.

The click of the belt buckle coming ripped open made her blood freeze, and as she swung the bag, her voice trembled: "You're crazy."

"Crazy? I'm perfectly sober."

He restrained her wildly flailing wrists, and as he forced her legs apart with his knee, Fu Yiyi caught a glimpse of a red light flashing in the corner of the coffee table.

The camera is pointed directly at the sofa.

"You actually recorded a video."

Her pupils contracted sharply, the drug making her fingertips numb. She struggled to reach for her phone, but he ripped open her collar.

Amidst the sound of tearing fabric, she was pressed onto the sofa, her neck enveloped by warm, moist breath.

"Keep shouting! Keep shouting!"

Jiang Beisen grabbed her wrist and shook it, "The soundproof wall is very thick."

He grabbed her hand and pressed it against his belt. "I'm recording this to protect myself."

Fu Yiyi was truly frightened now. Her eyes were red and tears streamed down her face, but Jiang Beisen gently wiped her face with his fingertips.

She turned her head away, her voice trembling: "Money... I'll give you money, any amount... Please don't do this..."

"Isn't it more worthwhile to be the son-in-law of the Chi family than to ask for money?"

He smiled and leaned down, his nose almost touching hers.

Just as his lips were about to touch hers, the door to the private room was kicked open with a "bang".

Jiang Beisen had barely uttered half a curse, "Who the hell…," when a dark figure grabbed him and slammed him against the wall. With a muffled groan, a leather shoe stomped hard on his chest.
