Chapter 73 This is what I call concentrated essence

Chapter 73 This is what I call concentrated essence
Wen Jinnian looked up and saw that the woman sat down next to Chi Yige without any politeness, her fiery red skirt almost touching the hem of his clothes.

Chi Yige got up without a word, walked around to Wen Jinnian's left and sat down. He casually picked up an apple from the coffee table and slowly peeled it with a fruit knife.

The blonde woman suddenly exclaimed, "Oh! Oh my god. Who is this lady?"

He then carefully observed Wen Jinnian and casually remarked.

"It is indeed beautiful, but a bit small."

Wen Jin Nian frowned slightly as she listened to the heavily accented Chinese, her gaze involuntarily falling on the other person's exaggeratedly voluptuous breasts.

She looked down at herself; she was a D-cup, after all, but the person in front of her was indeed too eye-catching.

At this moment, Chi Yige handed over the peeled apple, but Wen Jinnian didn't take it and instead looked directly into the blonde woman's emerald eyes.

"I call this the concentrated essence."

Duan Jiayan, who was holding his teacup, couldn't hold it in and sprayed a mouthful of tea all over the blonde woman's chest.

A scream: "Damn it!"

Duan Jiayan hurriedly pulled out a tissue and handed it over, "Sorry! Sister Daiyu."

Wen Jinnian bit her lower lip to suppress a laugh, her gaze lingering on the blonde woman's exaggerated curves and 1.7-meter height.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the elegant and refined, delicate Lin Daiyu.

"Surname Lin?" Wen Jinian asked subconsciously.

How do you know my last name?

The woman frowned as she wiped the water stains from her chest, then suddenly looked at Wen Jinnian warily, "What's your relationship with Mr. Chi?"

"Then you'll have to ask him directly."

Wen Jinian raised an eyebrow and countered, "And what is your relationship with him?"

Chi Yige's hand, holding the apple, froze in mid-air as he met Wen Jinnian's teasing gaze.

He smiled slightly and explained, "She's the daughter of the owner of the partner branch."

"She is also a beautiful girl who has a crush on you."

Wen Jinian suddenly spoke a sentence in Cantonese.

Chi Yige laughed: "How about I disfigure my face?"

Shen Yu, standing nearby, tugged at Duan Jiayan and muttered, "I'm eating a bellyful of dog food (a Chinese slang term for witnessing public displays of affection)."

Wen Jinnian rested her chin on her hand and teased, "If a handsome guy gets disfigured, no one will pursue him anymore."

Lin Daiyu stared at the conversation between the two, her face full of confusion, seemingly understanding but not quite.

She reached out to grab Chi Yige in her haste, but he subtly shifted his body towards the back of the sofa.

She pressed him repeatedly, "Mr. Chi, what are you talking about? Tell me!"

“Miss Daiyu, he is my brother.” Wen Jinian deliberately pronounced the word “brother” lightly, with a soft, teasing tone at the end.

Chi Yige turned his head and stared at her, knowing full well that she was deliberately teasing him, but he only curved his lips into a smile: "Yes, Miss Daiyu. I have to go to the mall with my younger sister now. She's throwing a tantrum and I have to coax her."

As soon as he finished speaking, he stood up nimbly and pulled Wen Jinnian up with his long arm.

She had been watching the show with a smile when she was suddenly pulled and stumbled forward, crashing into Chi Yige's arms with a soft cry.

Chi Yige helped her up, leaned down and whispered in her ear, "Little sister, so eager to throw yourself into my arms?"

Wen Jinnian's eyes widened suddenly, only to see him give her a meaningful look.

She pushed him away, grabbed his bag, and walked out.

Chi Yige glanced at Shen Yu subtly, signaling him to send away the person "who was handling irrelevant people".

The two entered the elevator one after the other, when Lin Daiyu's voice rang out, "Wait for me! Since she's your sister, how can I not show her hospitality? Whatever she takes a fancy to today, I'll buy it all!"

Wen Jinian found it amusing; she had come out first precisely because she couldn't stand Chi Yige's suffocatingly loud voice.

The moment the elevator doors closed, Chi Yige was standing in the center of the elevator. Wen Jinnian huddled in the left corner, her eyes lowered.

Lin Daiyu's high heels clicked as she stepped closer to him, standing shoulder to shoulder. Just as Chi Yige was about to speak, Wen Jinnian's light voice drifted into his ear: "You two look quite well-matched, brother."

Chi Yige pursed his lips helplessly, and his body reacted even faster, taking half a step back to brace against the box wall, and then subtly moving an inch closer to her.

"Don't worry, I won't be seeing any foreign girls."

"Quick, little sister, help me translate what your brother said?"

Wen Jinnian glanced sideways at Chi Yige, whose face was full of sorrow.

She chuckled and smoothed things over, saying, "My brother said you're good-looking."

"Really?"

Lin Daiyu raised an eyebrow, her face lighting up with joy, and took half a step forward, wanting to grab Wen Jinnian's hand.

Wen Jinian subtly moved her arm to the side, and Lin Daiyu missed her target but still smiled.

A van was already parked downstairs at the hospital.

Wen Jinnian tilted her head and looked at the street scene outside the window. Chi Yige thought she was angry, so he quickly took out his phone and sent a message: "Grandma, forgive me. I was wrong today."

The phone rang, and Wen Jinnian glanced at the screen, pursed her lips to suppress a laugh, but deliberately did not reply.

Lin Daiyu chattered away the whole way.

Chi Yige lowered his head and typed a long string of words, which he then sent to Wen Jinnian.

It's impossible to explain that the foreign CEO's daughter was merely a business partner.

Wen Jinnian stared at his profile and sighed inwardly.

This captivating face is simply favored.

We arrived at a shopping mall in Los Angeles in less than half an hour.

He hadn't planned to shop since he was about to return to China, but seeing Chi Yige's appearance, he picked out several outfits, along with jewelry, shoes, and bags.

Seeing that Lin Daiyu had taken another bag, Wen Jinnian quickly stopped her and stuffed the bag into her arms.

Lin Daiyu said, "Sister, this bag looks good on you. Buy it for me."

Seeing her ingratiating attitude, Wen Jinnian said helplessly, "Miss Lin, is it because I'm his sister that you're so nice to me?"

Lin Daiyu nodded.

"What if I'm not his sister?" Lin Daiyu paused, her hand holding the bag still, her expression changing slightly.

"Is she your girlfriend?"

Wen Jinian shook her head, watching her brows relax instantly, and slowly added a sentence.

"He and I were lovers."

Lin Daiyu gripped the bag strap, her eyes wide with shock: "Do you Chinese people all go this far?"

Chi Yige hadn't expected Wen Jinnian to suddenly "add insult to injury," and his hand paused as he handed over the card at the front desk.

He shook his head helplessly and tapped the cash register with his fingertips: "She's having a tantrum with me, and I'm pursuing her."

Lin Daiyu crossed her arms defiantly, her ample bosom making her even more eye-catching: "What do I lack compared to her? She looks so petite, what kind of taste do you have?"

Chi Yige lowered his eyes and said with a smile at the end of his voice, "In my heart, she is the most beautiful."

After a moment of silence, he added, "What I said is also true."

Lin Daiyu stamped her foot: "Didn't you say you wouldn't get involved in relationships? Are you still the Mr. Chi I know?"

Wen Jinian hadn't expected Chi Yige to openly confess his feelings for her in front of Lin Daiyu. Her heart skipped a beat, a mix of emotion—gratitude, shyness, and annoyance—overwhelming her, and her ears instantly burned bright red.

Lin Daiyu persisted, raising her chin and saying, "My father says you're a good husband... Anyway, you're not allowed to be with her. Only I can help you with your career!"

A threat flashed in her eyes, "You must continue to cut ties completely, or my father will withdraw the cooperation from the overseas branch."

Chi Yige sneered upon hearing this, "You can give it a try."
