A slightly better scenario is that, although he failed, he was rescued by Wuji Tianzun and Yuanshi Tianzun, among others. This can still be considered a complete failure.

In an even better scenario, although he failed his transformation, he would still have the ability to do something to remedy the situation. In this case, the Sun Emperor had preemptively comprehended the preliminary stage of the Earth Immortal Technique and left his own methods within Mount Tai. If he could still exist consciously for a while after failing his transformation, he would activate these methods derived from the Taihuang Scripture to merge his true spirit and remaining body into Mount Tai, thus embarking on the path of the Earth Immortal and preserving his life.

In fact, if it were the former situation, where he failed but was saved by Wuji Tianzun and others, then the Sun Saint Emperor would also choose to become an Earth Immortal later.

Although becoming an Earth Immortal means the end of the mortal immortal path, for the Sun Saint Emperor, doing so will instead become the beginning of a new path.

During his conversation with the Sun Emperor and the Moon Emperor, he learned that the Immortal Emperor used the Corpse-Dissolving Immortal Technique as its core, transforming and altering its essence to create his own Nirvana Technique, and successfully progressed towards his seventh incarnation.

Therefore, the Sun Saint Emperor, who had a strong affinity with the Earth Immortal Method, began to think that if he were to find it difficult to continue his progress, he might as well try to follow the Earth Immortal Method and explore new mysteries to supplement his Mortal Immortal Method.

In this lifetime, he finally solidified this idea as a new direction after the path to immortality in the mortal world was temporarily severed.

The Sun Emperor's current idea is actually quite simple: he wants to focus his continued progress on how to break free from Mount Tai.

It would be very easy for him to become an Earth Immortal now, even though he is almost completely dead. In fact, his current poor condition would prevent him from being too powerful and having difficulty integrating into Mount Tai, thus making his path to becoming an Earth Immortal even smoother.

After becoming an Earth Immortal, he no longer needs to worry about lifespan. He can then continue his cultivation of Yin and Yang uniting to create chaos in this incomplete state, so that he can condense an Earth Immortal body with a chaotic body.

After that, all he needed to do was figure out how to leave Mount Tai and continue on the path he had taken before.

Seeing that the Sun Emperor's condition had stabilized and that he was beginning to gather all the essence and laws generated during his transformation, Liang Yu and Yuanshi Tianzun knew that they no longer needed to worry.

However, Liang Yu recalled that when he was repairing Mount Tai, he found that very few people were tracing the past on Mount Tai. It seemed that this was due to the Sun Emperor.

Liang Yu said, "It's not easy to use the secrets of the Earth Immortal's method, but if we can succeed, it is indeed a good path."

Yuanshi Tianzun said, "Fellow Daoist Wuji, you probably already have some understanding of how Earth Immortals separate from their own Earth Immortal Realm and regain their freedom, right?"

Liang Yu said, "Yes, there is, but the Earth Immortal Method has even greater potential. Before we explore the path that belongs to the Earth Immortal Method, it would be a mistake to give them the opportunity to give up the Earth Immortal Method. This might cause these few Earth Immortals to waver. Let them explore more. Besides, they might be able to see the path ahead on their own without my interference."

Yuanshi Tianzun said, "Judging from what you've said, Fellow Daoist Wuji, do you have other ideas about the future of the Earth Immortal path?"

Liang Yu said, "These are just some basic ideas. I'll share them with you when I've achieved something in the future."

Yuanshi Tianzun said, "Then I am very much looking forward to it."

The Sun Emperor would need a long time to gradually recover, so Liang Yu and Yuanshi Tianzun did not wait any longer, but left directly to begin their own cultivation.

And so, time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, another six thousand years had passed. Since his birth, the current lifespan of the Myriad Dragon Emperor has reached sixteen thousand years, surpassing that of many emperors.

The situation of Wanlong Emperor is actually very similar to that of Xuehuang Emperor. Xuehuang Emperor was valued by the Undying Emperor and obtained the Undying Emperor's secret technique to enhance his foundation before attaining enlightenment; while Wanlong Emperor was specially cared for by Liang Yu because of their past relationship, and was also taught the secret technique to enhance his bloodline, thus enhancing his foundation.

After attaining enlightenment, they all received corresponding elixirs of immortality and had people guide them on their path and determine their future direction.

Therefore, their lifespans all come to an end at around 16,000 years old. Of course, the Dragon Emperor has a deeper foundation because Liang Yu personally helped him build his foundation, and he also has the secret technique of condensing dragon blood from the demon race to supplement it; while the Blood Phoenix Emperor has the power of phoenix rebirth, so his life force is longer.
