Chapter 558 Intimate Contact, Sleep

Galos left Bernardo and arrived at Fairy Wilderness.

It was as if we had passed through an invisible veil, where the fragrance of grass and trees replaced the scent of the material world, and the sweet aroma of nectar mingled with every breath. The sunlight was even brighter than outside, scattering down and casting dappled light and shadow on the ground covered with flowers and grass.

Galus did not linger, but flew straight into the depths of the verdant countryside.

A moment later, he landed on a wide-open grassy field.

The surrounding trees form a natural barrier, and sunlight filters through the gaps in the canopy, illuminating the wildflowers on the grass.

Several figures were already waiting here.

The crimson-silver dragon Deborah lay in the shade of a tree not far away, her rose-colored scales gleaming softly in the sunlight. She raised her head, her gaze falling on Garros, gentle and calm, without rushing to speak.

Natasha, the golden dragon, was perched beside Deborah.

She was a size larger than Deborah, and her golden scales shone brightly, like a solidified ray of sunlight. When she saw the Red Iron Dragon arrive, her eyes lit up, and ignoring the gazes of the other dragons, she pounced directly at it.

"Come here, let me touch it."

The golden dragon approached with a grin, its sharp claws exploring the red iron dragon's body, touching its scales and kneading its muscles.

"Look at your muscles, they seem a bit firmer than when we last met. Here, yes, right here, you've worked out well."

She clung to him for a while before finally separating, satisfied.

The other golden dragon, Alberto, lay lazily on the grass, wings outstretched, head resting on its front paws, squinting in the sun, looking like it was enjoying the sunshine.

"There's something I need to tell you."

Galos's gaze swept over the dragons present, his voice calm.

The fairy dragon Vera suddenly appeared out of nowhere, flying to his front in an instant, her eyes wide open, her wings flapping rapidly, hovering in front of his face.

"What's going on? Is another great demon about to be killed?"

Her voice was full of excitement, "I'm ready! Let's go together! You take the lead, and I'll take the sneak attacks. We'll go on a rampage and make those demons cry for their mothers!"

Galos glanced at her.

"No, I'm going to sleep."

Vera's excitement froze, then collapsed, like a flower wilted by frost.

"Okay, so it wasn't a call for me to fight."

She said disappointedly.

Deborah stood up from under the shade of the tree and slowly walked to the red iron dragon.

How long are you going to sleep?

She asked.

Galo said frankly, "Given my condition, a full-fledged slumber in my prime might last for about a hundred years, but this time it's different. The Green Queen can shorten my slumber time."

"Have you thought about it?"

Deborah looked at him, a hint of worry in her eyes. "Bernardo seems calm now, but the problem isn't truly solved, and you're asleep at this time..."

That's why I'm here to tell you.

"Garos said."

Deborah seemed thoughtful, then suggested, "How about you sleep in the Fairy Wilderness?"

"This is the realm of spirits, which is relatively safe. It is difficult for demons to infiltrate here, and the conflicts in the material world will not affect this place. You can sleep here, and no matter what happens to Bernardo, it will not affect you."

Vera became excited again, flapping her wings.

"Yes, yes, yes! Sleep here! I can take care of you!"

"While you're asleep, I'll tell you stories every day! I'll sing you lullabies, and I promise you'll sleep soundly! And I promise I won't scribble on you or play any other pranks on you."

Galos shook his head: "No."

Vera circled around him rapidly, puffing out her cheeks: "Why, why, why?"

"Because of Serol."

Galos explained, "Her talent can shorten my slumber time by at least half, but she's not strong enough to ignore dimensional barriers. That is, we must be on the same plane."

"She can't pull me into my dreams here."

It is indeed safer in the Fairy Wilderness.

If it weren't for Serol, Garos would have chosen to sleep here, but now, sleeping in the Fairy Wilderness means giving up most of his sleeping time and the chance to wake up early.

"Let her come to the Immortal Wilderness."

Vera tilted her head: "She shouldn't refuse you, right? You've already asked, how could she say no?"

Galos shook his head slightly.

“I told her, and she explicitly refused.”

Although Serol was somewhat infatuated with him, that did not mean she lacked her own thoughts.

On the contrary, she was very opinionated; otherwise, she would not have been able to establish a kingdom in the chaotic world of Aurotara.

Giving up everything to stay in a strange dimension for decades? It's normal for her to refuse, and Galos can understand.

At this moment, Natasha spoke up.

"If you don't want to slumber in the material world, there is another option."

Galos looked at her.

"Fubo Dragon Domain".

Natasha said excitedly, "Contact my father and have him make arrangements for you. The Dragon Realm is very safe. I return to the Dragon Realm almost every time I go into slumber. There are ancient restrictions there, metal dragons protecting it, and the Destiny Dragon King is there. It's safer than anywhere in the material world."

On the other side, Alberto opened his eyes and raised his head.

"Dragon Domain? You must be joking."

Natasha glared at him: "What, are you joking?"

“Garos is the Red Emperor, the ruler of a nation, and the master of Aura.” Alberto stood up from the ground, shook his body, and brushed off the grass clippings stuck to his scales. “His status speaks for itself.”

"so what?"

Natasha countered, saying, "Precisely because of his status, the Dragon Realm will value him even more."

“No.” Alberto walked over and stood in front of his sister: “Don’t forget, the Dragon Realm has always been neutral and does not interfere in continental conflicts. They allow dragons to enter, but they do not allow any force to bring conflict into it.”

He looked at Galos, his gaze becoming serious.

“If Garros goes, it will mean bringing Aura’s problem into the mix.”

"Those old fogies will never agree to that."

“Even if Father were willing to help, the elders would suppress him. You know those old guys’ tempers; they’d rather break their own horns than go against their principles.”

Compared to Natasha, Alberto was more aware of how much the metal dragons valued certain rules.

He caused more trouble and destruction, and he had seen how stubborn the elders were.

Natasha sighed after hearing this.

"Ok."

She said somewhat reluctantly, "Although I don't want to admit it, what you said makes some sense."

Alberto chuckled and took a step closer.

"However, I have a better idea."

Galos looked at him: "What?"

Alberto puffed out his chest, as if announcing some grand plan.

"When you become stronger than the Dragon King, go and take over the Dragon Realm, change all those ridiculous rules, and abolish them all."

"You can sleep wherever you want then, who dares to stop you?"

He was a golden dragon, but he spoke with a roguish air, completely unlike the traditional golden dragon. If the rigid dragons of the Dragon Realm heard this, they would probably faint on the spot from anger.

"I have no interest in matters concerning the Dragon Realm."

"Garos said."

Alberto shrugged, not disappointed. "Fine." He lay back down on the grass. "Then, when the great Golden Emperor grows up, he will personally make changes to the Dragon Realm. Don't try to take it from me then."

Galos ignored him.

Natasha glared at her brother: "Don't talk nonsense."

Alberto pursed his lips, said nothing, and continued to squint his eyes and bask in the sun.

At this point, Galus turned to his two companions.

His gaze swept across Deborah's face and then landed on Natasha.

"This isn't the first time someone has fallen into a deep sleep; there's no need to be so nervous."

Then he looked at the fairy dragon: "Vera, when I wake up, I'll come and listen to your story again."

"it is good!"

Vera said, "I've collected so many stories, some new, some old, some long, some short, and some I made up myself! I'll tell you them all at once, and I could talk for three days and three nights and still not finish."

After some time, Galos returned to the Dragon Court.

He did not fall asleep immediately.

Over the next few days, he explained everything that needed to be explained.

On the blood relatives side, Sorog and Samantha are the key figures.

In the spacious hall, the three giant dragons sat facing each other.

Samantha, the red dragon, was coiled on the left, her tail occasionally flicking as if she couldn't sit still, while Sorog, the iron dragon, was on the right, his posture calm and his gaze focused.

How long have you been asleep this time?

Samantha spoke first.

Galos thought for a moment and said, "It should be around fifty years."

Samantha grinned. "Sorog and I always fall asleep after you, and then wake up before you."

"But this time, you should wake up before us. By the time we wake up, you may have been awake for a long time."

Sorog leaned forward, his gaze grave.

There's something I need to remind you of.

"what?"

"Beware of the human Grand Masters, and also the Lord of Thunder."

Sorog continued, "You're too dazzling right now."

"Your name is being spoken of throughout almost all of Atlantis. On the surface, people praise your strength and responsibility, but what those human Grandmasters, and Ramirez, are really thinking, no one knows."

He paused, his gaze growing even more profound.

"Especially now that things are calm and the danger from the demons seems to be over, once the external enemy is gone, you will become a thorn in the side of others."

"Those who used to need you to fight demons may now be thinking about how to fight you."

Tie Long's expression was serious as he continued, "Before, when we were asleep, we never encountered any attacks. But now it's different. They might strike while you're asleep."

The red dragon bared its teeth, revealing a disdainful expression.

"They dare?"

"Why wouldn't we dare?" Iron Dragon retorted. "When a dragon is asleep, although it won't be much weaker than usual, its condition is still a bit worse. If several Grand Dragons launch a surprise attack together, and they catch us off guard, who can guarantee that it will be foolproof?"

Samantha's tail stopped thrashing and froze in mid-air.

"Then what can we do? We can't just stop them from sleeping, can we?"

Iron Dragon looked at Garos.

"You're right, that's possible."

Galos changed the subject slightly and said, "But I'm not worried."

He looked at his two blood relatives, grinned, and revealed his sharp teeth.

"My journey has always been one of dancing in danger, surviving in the wilderness, fighting my way out of various kingdoms, and getting to where I am today step by step. Every step I've taken has been on the edge of a knife."

"Besides, I won't be sleeping for too long this time."

"My sleeping rhythm has changed drastically. They want to attack me? Sure, but what awaits them is a one-way trip. It will save me the trouble of going to them one by one later."

Samantha grinned after hearing this.

“That’s more like you,” she said.

Sorog nodded and said no more.

Several days later.

Beneath the Ryan Plateau, in a prepared space.

All around were hard rock walls, and underfoot was a flat stone floor. There was no wind, no sound, only deep silence.

The red iron dragon coiled on the central stone platform and slowly closed its eyes.

His consciousness began to sink, and the feeling of falling asleep was like a tide, surging in from all directions, washing over his body, washing over his consciousness, and slowly submerging him.

Then he opened his eyes and found himself standing on a grassy field.

The sun was warm, the breeze was gentle, and a babbling brook flowed in the distance, its water sound crisp and melodious. Wildflowers covered the entire hillside, red, yellow, and purple, like a colorful carpet. The sky was pale purple, and the clouds were pink. Everything looked as if it had been painted with the softest paints, so beautiful it seemed unreal.

Serol stood in front of him.

She remained in human form, wearing a light green dress, her long hair cascading over her shoulders, her emerald green eyes gazing at him.

"Ready?"

She asked softly.

Galos nodded.

"All right."

Serol smiled faintly and then stepped forward.

With each step she took, her body transformed. Pale green light surged from her, enveloping her form, then rapidly expanded and changed. When the light dissipated, she had revealed her true form.

The green dragon opened its forearms and hugged him.

Her body pressed against his chest, her arms wrapped around his neck, her face buried in the crook of his neck, her tail wrapped around his tail, so tightly that there was almost no gap.

Scales pressed against scales, the sensation transmitted through the contact, like two warm currents merging together.

Galos was taken aback.

"Does one need to be this close to unleash their talent?"

The green dragon raised its head and looked at him.

Her eyes were close enough to see his face reflected in her emerald green pupils, and then she gave him a sly smile.

"No need, it's just because I want it to be this way."

Galos remained silent.

The silence lasted for a few seconds, then he raised his arm and hugged her as well.

His arms encircled Serol's waist, pulling her entirely into his embrace. His tail tightened, binding hers even more closely, and his chin rested on her head, feeling the touch and warmth of her scales.
The green dragon's body stiffened slightly.

Then she relaxed, snuggling into the muscular red iron dragon's arms like a small animal that had found its den, letting out a satisfied sigh.

"Go to sleep."

She said softly.

Galos closed his eyes again.

Grassland, stream, wildflowers, purple sky, pink clouds... everything gradually blurred, like a painting soaked in water, the colors slowly spreading and dissipating.

The dream transformed into a soft darkness, enveloping him and embracing him into a deeper sleep.

Then, all fell silent.
