Chapter 71 Shin-chan's Revenge
Chapter 71 Shin-chan's Revenge
After school, Kuronuma Kiba and Shirakawa Momo went to the mountaineering club together.
"Kuronuma-kun, Momo, wait for me!"
Just as they stepped out of the classroom, a sweet voice called out from behind them. Neither of them paid any attention and headed towards the stairs to go downstairs.
Shinonome Shionai held onto the railing and carefully followed the two down the stairs, moving much slower than usual, as if afraid of accidentally slipping and falling down the stairs.
As Kuronuma Kiba and Shirakawa Momo stepped onto the corridor leading to the club activity building, she caught up from behind and blocked their way with outstretched arms.
Sunlight streamed through the corridor glass, illuminating her long, glossy chestnut hair. A radiant smile graced her innocent face, and her emerald eyes sparkled with passion.
"What is it?" Shirakawa Momo asked impatiently, her dislike undisguised.
She hates hypocritical people, and Shinkai Shionai's cheerful and lively image is a complete disguise, like a tank driving into a dense minefield.
"Hey, I heard that Kuronuma-kun has been busy boxing at the Shinjuku Police Station lately. He probably doesn't want to waste too much time on club activities, right?"
Seeing the two stop, Shionai Shiona withdrew her outstretched arms, crossed them over her neckline, and stepped forward to approach Kuronuma Kiba: "After resigning from the Disciplinary Committee, I am now the head of the Disciplinary Committee. I have the authority to let people leave school early. Kuronuma-kun, do you need any help?"
"How did she know?" Shirakawa Momo asked coldly.
"It might be Ah Hu. He was completely love-struck a few days ago."
Kuronuma couldn't think of any other possibility, so he shrugged helplessly and stared at Shinkai Shiona with a scrutinizing look in his black eyes: "Tell me, what is your purpose?"
"To get revenge on bad women."
Shirakawa Momo didn't give Shinkai Shiona a chance to speak, a faint sneer curling at the corner of her lips: "That bad woman wants to seduce you. She wants to reduce the time you spend in the club as revenge for what happened in the sports warehouse at noon."
"That's right."
With her hands behind her back, Shionami took another step closer to Kuronuma, her emerald eyes filled with laughter: "It's also to repay a debt of gratitude, you know. Momo doesn't want Kuronuma-kun and Chitose-senpai to get too close, right?"
I suggest you agree.
Shirakawa Momo turned to look at Kuronuma Kiba, her golden eyes devoid of any emotion, and said logically, "We can go home around 6 o'clock now that we're leaving school, which is just around dinner time. Let's go for a run together at 8 o'clock."
She had just transferred schools and was unaware that Shionai Shinai wanted to invite Kiba Kuronuma to join the kendo club, nor was she aware of the agreement between Shionai Shinai and Chitose Toyama, so she was completely unprepared.
Shirakawa Momo's schedule was quite reasonable, and there seemed to be no reason for her to refuse.
Kuronuma began to seriously consider whether he should leave school early.
Since Shinkai Shiona's purpose is clear, there's no need to remember her favor by granting her the convenience of leaving school early.
Thinking that Toyama Chitose always said "I like you" in a way that wasn't even a "pie in the sky," he thought it would give her a sense of crisis, so he nodded in agreement.
"Okay, remember to send me the new address."
"I'll send it to you now. It's only a 5-minute walk from the college."
As she spoke, Shirakawa Momo took out her phone, sent him the apartment's location, and then walked past Shinkai Shiona, heading alone towards the mountaineering club.
Her petite figure stepped out of the sunlight-drenched area, exuding a cold aura; it seemed that Toyama Chitose wouldn't be too happy tonight.
"Hey, shall we go? Kuro, Numa-kun."
Shinkai Shionai, with a cute trailing tone and a big smile, took her place next to Kuronuma Kiba, deliberately rubbing her soft body against his arm: "After I register you, you can leave school anytime~"
Kuronuma turned and walked towards the teaching building, ignoring her.
The two broke off their friendship this morning. Shinkai Shionai's only remaining purpose in approaching him now is the "Kendo Club." If she likes to be close to him, so be it; she won't lose anything.
After changing my shoes at the shoe locker, I walked out of the teaching building. The soft clouds in the clear sky looked like cotton blankets drying in the sun, and the wind, tinged with sunlight, gradually dried, giving off a bright and cheerful color.
Kuronuma Kiba walked through the courtyard with a cold expression, while Shinkai Shiona kept trying to talk to him. As they passed the fountain that had stopped working, the cheerful atmosphere suddenly turned somber.
"Hey, Kuronuma-kun, are you really going to keep it a secret?"
When she said this, Shionai's voice was no longer sweet or coquettish; it carried a crisp and threatening tone. Even knowing that this was her true self, the stark contrast to her usual tone was still quite unsettling.
"Is my reputation that bad?" Kuronuma Kiba stopped and turned to look at Shinkai Shiona, asking with dissatisfaction.
She lowered her head slightly, then looked up and shot a gloomy gaze. The shadow cast by her chestnut hair covered her eyes, creating a strangely cute effect.
"Just to be on the safe side, I'm checking again."
"Go check with Momo later." Kuronuma Kiba waved his hand casually and walked towards the academy gate.
As long as Shirakawa Momo keeps her promise, he will naturally not go back on his word.
"Ok."
Shionai's expression changed instantly, reverting to her feigned cheerfulness. With her hands behind her back, she walked briskly beside him: "Hey, Kuronuma-kun, don't you hate me?"
"We've broken off all contact, so it's not a matter of liking or disliking each other, but Tao should really hate your hypocrisy."
"I wouldn't treat her like that when there are no outsiders around."
Seeing that Black Swamp Fang didn't speak, she started pestering her again, talking to herself, which reminded one of a Golden Retriever waiting to go out, which would bring its leash by itself.
"I mean, is Kuronuma-kun like that to Ryo-senpai too?"
"The kendo club has a training match scheduled with Kyoto Hanafuda Academy next month. Are you interested, Kuronuma-kun?"
"Their main force is still the same as it was during the Jade Dragon Banner era?"
"Kuronuma-kun! Don't you want to prove that you are the real champion?"
Upon reaching the academy gate, Shinkai Shiona finally shut up, grabbed Kuronuma Kiba to stop, and raised her other hand to wave to the disciplinary committee member who was on duty not far away.
Kuronuma saw the disciplinary committee member take out a notebook from his pocket, remove the pen hanging on his red armband, and write down Kuronuma's name. From then on, he could enter the gate without any hindrance.
"Is that all?" he asked, frowning. Things were simpler than he had imagined.
"Okay, but I want to confirm something with Kuronuma-kun."
Shinonome Shiona hugged Kuronuma Kiba's arm, wrapping it in her soft white shirt, and briefly raised her face to reveal her true self, her turquoise eyes showing a serious determination:
"After what happened at noon today, would Kuronuma-kun still be willing to be friends with me?"
Seeing that he really didn't care about her easily emotional personality, she began to regret suddenly breaking off her friendship with Kuronuma in the morning.
After a moment's thought, Kuronuma Kiba shook his head and refused: "It's possible, but there's no need."
"Honestly, what a blind guy."
Shinonome Shionai's brows furrowed, her innocent face filled with displeasure, as if she had a lot of complaints about him: "Why?"
"I don't want to play house with you."
"But when I genuinely wanted to be friends with you, you were just as dismissive as you are now, weren't you?"
Her voice carried a questioning tone, tinged with resentment, as if she were blaming him for being a heartless scumbag.
"I can't be sure of your sincerity; strictly speaking, I've never believed in you."
Kuronuma glanced at Shinkai Shiona with indifferent eyes, withdrew his hand from her embrace, and strode towards the door.
Hearing him say that, Shinkai Shionai closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and felt a sour feeling of grievance stuck in her throat.
Even though I had already taken him home for dinner, he still became suspicious.
Once she calmed down a bit, she ran a few quick steps, unwilling to give up, and caught up with Kuronuma Kiba, who had just walked out of the academy gate. She cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted, "Kuronuma-kun, what are your thoughts on kendo now?"
"You'll know when the training trip is over," Kuronuma replied without turning his head, turning towards the downhill path leading to the tram station.
