Chapter 614 The God of Trickery
the Avengers.

The guardians of the courtyard are a group of arrogant mortals, a group of freaks, a group of self-righteous fools.

They call themselves the Avengers.

But why did they seek revenge? Whom did they seek revenge against? How did their enemies humiliate and crush them to the point that they were so determined to take revenge?

They are not avengers at all, quite the opposite.

I am the one who should be called the avenger.

Loki, the prince of Asgard and Thor's brother, lay in his cell, pondering as he tossed his throwing knives. Just then, a soft sound came from outside the cell. Loki smiled, then sat up on his bed, watching the witch outside the cell magically open a portal.

"Amora, my enchantress, to be honest, I'm getting a little impatient."

Loki looked at the blonde beauty in a green robe outside the cell and gave his habitual fake smile: "I hope you haven't attracted Odin's attention, my dear."

"The King of the Gods is worried about the war in the Nine Realms. Since you killed Laufey, Malekith has occupied Jotunheim (the land of giants), and the army of the Dark Elves has ruled two kingdoms and is beginning to march on Alfheim (the land of elves)."

“Of course, Malekith is a far more threatening enemy than Laufey, and Odin will certainly be on high alert. What I’m curious about is why my foolish brother is so quiet. Surely he’s not playing house with mortals in Midgard and has forgotten that he’s not mortal himself?”

The enchantress didn't respond, but continued to explain what she had found out.

When Thor was banished to Earth, Loki pulled off a series of stunts to prove to Odin that he was more suitable to inherit the throne. He used his identity as the son of Laufey, the king of the Frost Giants, to lure Laufey to Asgard. Then, he pretended to take Laufey to assassinate Odin, and then betrayed his own father, killing Laufey.

But after that?
Laufey's body was taken away by Odin. As one of the rulers of the Nine Realms, Laufey's body was of extremely high value, and the whereabouts of Laufey's body was one of the things that Amora had been investigating recently.

Laufey's body was buried beneath Atlantis.

“The realm of the Olympian gods, so intelligent that even Malekith wouldn’t have thought of being placed there, much less getting involved—” Loki thought for a moment, then smiled and asked, “What about those mortals? Those who arrogantly believe they can obtain power from the ancient gods?”

"You mean Hydra?"

Amora raised an eyebrow, then asked with some confusion, "Are they really necessary?"

“Of course it’s necessary. In fact, it’s impossible to set up a battlefield in Midgard without the help of the people of Midgard.” Loki laughed with pleasure. “Bring them in, Amora, and get them all into Malekith’s scheme.”

"And all we have to do is get a piece of the pie."
-
Dario Agger is the CEO of Roxson Energy, a North American energy giant comparable to Stark Industries and Osborn Technologies. Roxson has thrived since World War II by developing new exploration technologies and funding environmentally friendly mining practices.

Dario Agger is often referred to as the modern-day Rockefeller. However, Rockxon is more than just an energy company. It's actually one of countless companies invested in by Hydra, and was once part of Hydra's attempt to control the United States through economic means. It's also one of Hydra's most successful ventures.

Of course, with the collapse of Hydra's base in Hungary, Hydra branches around the world began to cease operations, and Roxon was no exception. And for some reason, the Avengers seemed to have their eyes on Roxon and had launched several investigations, though they had found nothing.

Dario walked into his office as usual, but today was different. A blonde woman in a green dress appeared in his office, startling Dario, who immediately asked nervously, "Who are you?!"

“Don’t be nervous, young Minotaur. I have no ill intentions. On the contrary, I’m here to offer some assistance to you and your master.”

The other party revealed a bright smile, but Dario did not let his guard down.

The other party revealed a secret: Dario is not human. Due to his past experiences, he has been transformed into a minotaur, also known as a minotaur. The fact that the other party saw through him at a glance made Dario even more nervous.

"...I don't know what you're talking about, ma'am. All I know is that you're not here to do business."

"On the contrary, I'm here to do business. Let me introduce myself. My name is Amora, an Asgardian. I serve a great tyrant who is willing to grant the Roxon Corporation the mining rights to all nine realms, including those mythical resources."

Dalio paused for a moment, then realized that this moment of silence was enough for the other party to confirm his identity, so he coldly retorted, "This is no joke. Besides, aren't the Nine Realms of Norse mythology in the hands of you Asgardians? Do you think Odin is being so kind? Or are you not actually serving Odin?"

“That’s right. I am not serving Odin, but another king, his enemy. And in order to take the entire Nine Realms from Odin, we need your and your master’s service, mortal.”

A bunch of arrogant and conceited fools. Dario first gave them a disdainful look, then tentatively asked, "So what do we have to give in return? Surely you're not going to give us anything for free?"

“We need more power, for example, Jotunheim, which has already been conquered. It used to be the land of the frost giants, but the king of the frost giants died at Odin's hands, so the whole of Jotunheim is in ruins. But the good news is that we know where Odin buried Laufey, so as long as we have Laufey's bones, I can resurrect the king of the frost giants.”

Dario was quite surprised, and then he saw a map showing the location that the other party wanted Roxon to excavate under the guise of offshore oil drilling.

Dario almost exploded after just one glance.

"Mining the seabed of Atlantis? Who can mine it?!"

When faced with this question, the enchantress Amora simply smiled.

"No need to worry, perhaps Atlantis is also our ally in this matter?"
