Chapter 593 You come and I go
The symbiote is a derivative of Nar, who is the embodiment of the Living Abyss. Naturally, Nar's body can also expand and spread like the symbiote, enveloping other life forms. The Black Emperor chose this method to attack Peter.

So, what's the use of it?

The answer is that it's completely useless.

In an instant, the dazzling light of the mysterious power shot out in all directions, completely piercing through the encroaching living abyss. But this was exactly what the black-clad emperor intended; he wanted Peter to make the only viable choice before launching his next attack.

He missed.

Spider-Man seemed to vanish completely in an instant, even running away without taking the Dragon Fang Sword.

One after another, swivel portals appeared around them, but Peter Parker didn't emerge from any of them. The Black Emperor immediately unleashed a multitude of symbiote tentacles, piercing into these portals to search for Spider-Man, but to no avail. Instead, the portals instantly closed, severing the tentacles.

However, the black-clad emperor sensed the location of these tentacles and found that they were distributed in almost every corner of the universe, with no discernible pattern. It was impossible to determine Peter's location based solely on the situation on one side of the portal.

Where did he go?
Finding Peter nowhere to be found, the Black Emperor began to ponder, his first thought being whether Peter had escaped. Theoretically, Spider-Man, possessing the power of Captain Universe, could certainly escape, and given the lack of significant conflict between them, even if Peter wanted to escape, there wasn't much need for him to intercept him. So, it made sense that Peter had even returned to 616?
However, the black-clad emperor did not leave with that mindset. He further compressed the sphere formed from the planet, turning it into a miniature black hole. Then he swept back and forth in the surrounding space, and only left after confirming that there was nothing around.

After traveling a considerable distance, he suddenly returned, looking around in confusion: "How strange... Could it be that he really ran away?"

Peter, of course, didn't leave. He was waiting for his opportunity, or rather, he quickly found a way to force the Black Emperor to respond using various methods. Moreover, as the "patriarch," the Black Emperor himself admitted that Peter had a very significant advantage: he possessed all the possibilities of Spider-Man, both good and bad.

"In other words, I have too many cards to play, and I also have an assistant here who knows all the characteristics of the symbiote but refuses to tell me. Aren't you really going to tell me about the characteristics of the Living Abyss, Nar?"

Nar had nothing to say; he had no intention of saying anything.

Soon, Peter's accumulated energy quickly attracted the attention of the black-clad emperor, who then slammed his fist heavily into the space, cracking the surrounding space and shattering the mirror space where Peter had been hiding.

"It's been so long since I fought a mage, I've forgotten this move..."

The black-clad emperor muttered to himself, looking around. Then his eyes narrowed. Those portals weren't just meant to lure enemies; they were meant to allow Spider-Man to use Captain Universe's power to bring in matter from other places.

Then another question arises: In a negative wave zone filled with antimatter, what would happen if a large amount of positive matter were blasted out of the mirror space by the black-clad emperor's punch in an instant?

A violent explosion instantly engulfed the surroundings, but Peter, prepared in advance, used his mysterious power to prepare a defense, gaining a split second. As the Black Emperor raised his defenses, Peter plunged the Dragon Fang Sword, imbued with mysterious power, directly into the Black Emperor's body. A burst of intense light erupted instantly. With the combined boost from the anti-venom and the mysterious power, Peter practically saw victory within reach. Everything was wiped clean, everything vanished, as if the Black Emperor had never existed.

"I can't see a future."

He muttered something to himself for a moment, then swung his sword backhand, and sure enough, a large number of symbiotes were directly annihilated by the mysterious power.

He was once again outmaneuvered by the black-clad emperor. If the opponent was certain he would attack, and that the only way to break his defenses was with the Dragon Fang Sword, then they could easily prepare a preemptive countermeasure. But more importantly, his spider-sense had completely vanished, just like when he faced Anansi before.

“It’s not quite the same as Anansi.” The black-clad emperor emerged from absolute darkness. “I’ve mentioned it a few times before, and you should know that the symbiote consciousness network and the Web of Fate have many similarities. It’s even possible that when Nais designed the Web of Fate, he directly referenced the symbiote’s hive consciousness network. This means that if, in a short period of time, a symbiote that has hosted the spider totem discovers this similarity…”

"These guys are very likely to be able to block spider-sensing, right?"

At this point, Peter remembered something that seemed to exist: Venom and his offspring symbiotes would not trigger spider-sense, because Venom and Peter had lived in symbiosis, and his offspring had inherited these spider abilities.

However, in his universe, Venom has always been an ally, and he never thought there would be children. Also, the other symbiotes have never had symbiotes with other spider-like ability users. This peculiar setting is useless, and Peter forgot about it.

But now the black-clad emperor has brought it up again.

"Similarly, as the master of the symbiote, the Black Emperor can do this even without being a spider totem. So neither Carnage nor Gnar can block my spider sense."

Peter grasped the key point in the Black Emperor's explanation and then asked again, "So you never intended to kill me, right?"

"I've already said, I'm here for a guarantee, a guarantee that you will never become the Black Emperor, threatening the symbiote's consciousness network." The Black Emperor spoke with his usual indifferent tone, while asking Peter in return, "Are you still going to fight?"

If he leaves directly, it means that Peter Parker of 616 cannot provide this guarantee, and he may still choose this path in the future, at which point the two black-clad emperors will be locked in a life-or-death struggle. Conversely, this also means that Spider-Man, the black-clad emperor, does not actually intend to fight Peter to the death; what he needs is a statement.

But the problem is, how exactly is Peter going to prove to the other party that he will not become the Black Emperor, or rather, that he will not become the kind of Black Emperor who would destroy the collective consciousness of the symbiote, as the other party believes?
