Chapter 571 Return to the Main Camp

In the wasteland universe, at the Spider League headquarters, Peter brought two newcomers, Gwen and Jessica, to register and relax.

"So, all the spider-type ability users across the multiverse are actually part of a much larger force, and everyone can come here?"

Jessica, who was visiting the headquarters for the first time, was quite surprised to see all sorts of Spider-Men coming and going, swinging on their webs. Then she saw the cat leap up and swing on its web.

"Okay, that really is a spider cat."

Jessica couldn't help but complain when she heard this: "I can't shoot webs either, but I'm Spider-Woman."

Why can spiders fly?

After hearing Gwen's question, Jessica couldn't help but retort, "Because there are spiders that can fly."

"Actually, we not only have Spider-Cat, but also Spider-Tyrannosaurus and Spider-Ham."

Knowing that Peter was coming, Miguel made a special trip to greet them. He didn't pay any attention to the two newcomers Peter brought: "Your universe experienced violent vibrations a month ago. What happened?"

"I thought that after we got Tyrannosaurus Rex and Leopardon, there was nothing left for me to do."

The fact that the Web of Fate didn't give any warnings means that there are no new universes that need Peter to unclog the toilet, and the continuous expansion of the Spider Alliance doesn't require Peter to do anything. The Spider Legion is an organization formed by Anansi and his allies, composed of non-heroic spider totems. It was founded out of fear and disgust for Shasla. Peter wasn't entirely sure of the legion's ultimate success, and given their differing values, conflict between the two sides was highly likely. However, the Spider Alliance had contingency plans in place, such as emergency teleportation devices to ensure the safety of its members.

"Many people are injured, but no one has died yet. Generally speaking, we choose to retreat. In terms of fighting to the death, we probably can't beat these lunatics, but as I said, the problem is not there."

After Miguel brought Peter to the base camp, he had his AI assistant, Lyra, show Peter the multiverse map they had drawn—although it was actually meaningless, since the multiverse is “infinite” in number.

Moreover, not every universe has Spider-Man, nor is every universe safe. Risky universes like the wasteland universe and even dangerous universes like the zombie universe exist. The Spider-Man Alliance has built a large number of observation stations to monitor these dangerous universes, prevent the spread of these dangers, and marked them as restricted areas.

The focus is on some of the worlds that have been marked.

"what are these?"

Looking at the universes highlighted in the image, Peter asked curiously, and Miguel naturally replied, "Our current multiverse relies on the Web of Fate. “We don’t know what’s inside universes that are forbidden by the Web of Fate. All we know is that the Web of Fate keeps us out.” Miguel shrugged. “Besides, I don’t know magic, so I’ll have to ask a magic expert who can traverse the multiverse for information.”

Peter carefully examined the numbering of those universes and confirmed that he did not recognize any of them.

“I don’t know either. Maybe someone does. I’ll ask them when the time comes.” Peter roughly understood what Miguel meant. “I can’t go in either. If the Web of Fate doesn’t call me, I can’t go directly to universes I haven’t been to before. By the way, what are your thoughts on these universes?”

"Actually, I do have one, and I feel that these universes might be prepared for you, so they're not letting us in."

Peter stared silently at the blank universe that appeared on the map for a while, then sighed helplessly.

"I'd better check what Gwen and the others are up to."
