Chapter 560 Standing Alone Between Heaven and Earth

Chapter 560 Standing Alone Between Heaven and Earth
The variant of Kang who traveled to the future was defeated by the Age of Ultron, a result that Kang had not anticipated and had not expected at all. However, glancing at the group of Avengers below, he felt somewhat relieved—after all, Ultron was created by the Avengers.

So he changed his target and launched another attack on the Ultrons from the future, focusing on the Scarlet Centurion who had broken free of his control. He believed it wouldn't take long. As for the other superheroes, they had their own robots to deal with them.

Meanwhile, or rather, at a completely different time, came the counterattacks launched by various historical eras against the variants of Kang.

First, there's ancient Egypt. The war between Kang and Apocalypse made the Egyptians feel as if they were witnessing a battle between gods. At this point, Apocalypse's awakened mutant abilities were not numerous or complex enough, but even so, his power far surpassed Kang's. Meanwhile, Kang mobilized the power of the Cosmic Cube from the future, and the two fought hand-to-hand on the temple.

The powerful aftershocks of the battle prevented the other X-Men from getting close. They stood outside, watching the fight with bated breath.

"It's truly...unbelievable. The two strongest people in the world are fighting hand-to-hand here, as if this is the only way to demonstrate the world's strength." Iliana, carrying her sword, stood atop a temple, watching the blurry battle in the distance. In the First Dynasty of ancient Egypt, before the pyramids were invented, this was a strategic high point.

She was utterly speechless. Why did two super-experts capable of manipulating matter, converting energy, and even altering reality end up fighting each other? Oh, and they even created all sorts of things to fight each other.

“There’s nothing we can do about it. Even if they just hit us in the face a few times, we have no way to intervene. If it weren’t for Iliana having to maintain the spell on Apocalypse, I think leaving now would be the best option.”

Looking at Kang and Apocalypse fighting in the distance, Cyclops had no goodwill towards them. However, if Apocalypse couldn't resist Kang's time stop, then they wouldn't be able to escape either. On the contrary, it might be easier for Kang to lose to Apocalypse here.

But are they really completely unhelpful?

That's not necessarily true.

The White Queen has been trying to distract Kang, which has also distracted Kang somewhat. In addition, there is Iliana. The Magik's longsword cannot cause physical damage yet, but it can directly damage the soul, which is undoubtedly a killing move for Kang.

Given the right opportunity, Iliana would choose to plunge her greatsword into Kang's body.

"Hopefully, when we get back to the 21st century, it won't be too late."
-
Earth in the 31st century.

The stone man who arrived here saw all of this and expressed his feelings.

"To be honest, I thought the 31st century would be...more advanced."

The Fantastic Four, arriving in the 31st century, witnessed a scene that greatly surprised them. While the world did indeed have a futuristic feel, it wasn't quite as futuristic as they imagined; all technological advancements remained within their own expectations. Reed even managed to hack into the local network using his intellect—proving that the 31st century was still an era of 0s and 1s.

"There's a reason why technological progress is so slow. Earth was once an interstellar civilization, but a civil war turned human civilization, including Earth, into a wasteland." After quickly learning the language of the 31st century, Reed had a clear understanding of the local development process: "Kang the Conqueror is called the Conqueror because he rebuilt Earth and human civilization in this era, excavating advanced technology from numerous ruins." Reed also became a little embarrassed at this point. The technology of the 31st century actually relied entirely on archaeology. There was a serious technological gap in the middle of the millennium, and Kang, on the other hand, mastered time travel technology, directly excavating various technologies from humanity's golden age to develop himself, and thus became Kang the Conqueror.

In other words, Kang was a player who overpowered the game by developing a farming-style gameplay, going to a more technologically advanced timeline to acquire technology to conquer the 31st century, which was a wasteland, and then expanding into the universe, almost rebuilding humanity's territory as an interstellar empire.

Well... it's not that Kang lacked talent; after all, he unearthed the time technology from the ruins and repaired it. But his talent was far from what Reed and the others initially understood.

as well as……

"The collision crisis of the multiverse, this shock wave will continue to spread towards the point of occurrence from both time and space, which is why Kang is in such a hurry. According to this process, the 31st century will completely dissipate within a few years."

A colossal, transdimensional spatial rift leading to the multiverse caused this terrible crisis, and Kang attempted to close it at its source, thus ushering in the Kang Dynasty. Reed cannot say whether Kang's actions were right or wrong, but from the perspective of someone living in the early 21st century, Kang was undoubtedly their enemy.

Deadpool loitered around, while the Human Torch kept an eye on him. After Reed had hacked Kang's system, he had Susan lead them stealthily into Kang's palace.

It was less like a royal palace and more like Kang's flagship planted in the ground, a towering, sword-like tower reaching into the clouds. Reed walked along, cracking the system as he searched for Kang's secrets and clues.

"Alright, right here. It's unbelievable that there are still many Stark Industries remnants in Kang's system. Tony's achievements can still be effective in the 31st century."

As Reed spoke, he opened a warehouse door, and upon opening it, he felt a sudden sense of suffocation. Kang hadn't revealed any "weaknesses" to them here, but rather displayed his ambition.

This place contains countless incubation chambers, in which float heroes they know or don't know. A display screen on one side shows the significance of this place.

"This is a cloning factory. Kang went back in time, to when we or others were just born, to collect our DNA, and then recreate how we gained our abilities, cloning all the superheroes and villains. This is a... army that belongs exclusively to Kang."

Reed stared at everything in disbelief, while Sue, after a brief moment of shock, asked her husband a very important question.

"If that's what Kang was planning, why have we never seen these clones?"
