Chapter 556 How Dangerous This World Is
“I can guarantee that there are absolutely no copyright laws in the 31st century, otherwise Kahn would definitely know that he has violated my copyright.”
The Avengers, as Kang's personal guard, did not set off immediately. In fact, persuading the Avengers to rebel against Kang was a very easy thing, but seeing the entire Indian subcontinent destroyed in an instant and tens of thousands of ominous deaths was such a shocking thing that they could hardly believe it had happened for a short time.
War Machine asked Tony directly, "Can you handle this, man?"
"Can I handle it?" Tony looked at his old friend with disdain. "Are you kidding me? Who can handle that kind of monster?"
"A year ago at this time, I only needed to deal with a group of alien armies. One nuclear bomb to hit their home planet and they would be done for. Now? Now I have to deal with a guy who has stuffed a Rubik's Cube that can alter reality into his chest and can modify all the timelines of the entire Earth?"
Tony glared angrily at the portal in front of him, then pulled the lever.
"Of course I can handle it!"
In an instant, Kang realized what Tony Stark had done. The moment he raised his hand, Strange blocked the attack, his body shattering like broken porcelain. And with that, Tony's goal was achieved. A massive time tunnel opened high in the sky, as if to recreate the Battle of New York; an endless, dark army swooped down.
But this time, they weren't invaders from outer space, but assimilated beings from the future. Tony saw himself, he saw Pym, but these "Avengers" were all half-human, half-machine beings. Their bodies had undergone varying degrees of modification, and coincidentally, these modifications all looked remarkably like... Ultron.
Hank Pym immediately understood why Kang said the future would be the Age of Ultron. He had thought Kang was lying, but it turned out Kang was telling the truth.
If that's the case, then Ultron shouldn't exist...
Pym thought sadly, but Tony then patted Pym on the shoulder: "Alright, stop looking so gloomy. I don't expect the Omnic Crisis to last long against Conquer. Hurry up, we don't have many chances left."
"...Who do you think can succeed? The Sorcerer Supreme is probably at his limit. We can't count on Strange to help us anymore."
“Yes, so we need some other help. I’m betting on Doom. What do you think of him?” Tony said, sounding quite unsure. He then glanced at Carol and asked, “Ms. Danfoss? Can you bring back the Sorcerer Supreme we sent flying? Be careful, he might break.”
Kang's attention was now completely focused on the Ultron Legion before him. He flew up and stood in front of one of the Ultrons leading the Legion, asking in bewilderment, "Is this all you can do?"
He was confused. If this was the full power of the Age of Ultron, then Ultron shouldn't have been able to cause such a terrible disaster. So why did the multiverse collision crisis still begin?
"You are suffering, Kang, you need healing, and Ultron can give you healing."
The leader of the group, Ultron, explained the situation and then quickly launched an attack. Kang immediately punched the group of mechanical superhumans, but somewhat unexpectedly, they were not affected by the power of the Cosmic Cube.
But Kang quickly understood why Ultron was able to dodge the attack.
Each of them had a small time engine implanted within them, allowing them to switch their own timeline while moving, thus evading the power of the Cosmic Cube, which could only modify the present. Kang didn't say anything, simply waiting for the Ultron robots to make contact with him before instantly obliterating the lead one. In the instant of complete destruction, the Ultron robots transformed into a vast swarm of nanomachines, covering Kang's body. Kang could feel Ultron devouring everything around him, attempting to assimilate him. After understanding the principles of Ultron's power, Kang removed the Ultron covering him.
Then, he threw a heavy punch, and the Time Stone on his gauntlet extracted all the Ultron Avengers into the same timeline, then annihilated them all with a single punch.
But without a doubt, this wasn't over yet. The portal in the sky hadn't closed, and large numbers of Ultron's Avengers were still pouring out. At first, Hank and Tony thought the Age of Ultron meant Ultron had transformed all the Avengers into cyborgs, but now it seemed that wasn't the case, because a batch of Ultron's Avengers who had just died were reappearing.
Tony couldn't help but ask.
"The program you set for Ultron was to assist the Avengers?"
"...Also, lethal force cannot be used."
“Turning other people into Ultron isn’t considered lethal force, but Ultron created a bunch of mechanical Avengers for himself to make his work easier.” Tony couldn’t help but sigh. Hank immediately said, “I’ll destroy Ultron once we survive, provided we survive.”
Kang then began to strike further at the enemy. He quickly used the Time Stone to pull out another version of himself from another timeline. In this timeline, Kang's aesthetics changed, and he possessed a red and silver Iron Man suit. After connecting to the power of the Cosmic Cube, he immediately rushed towards 2015.
"The Crimson Centurion will conquer the Age of Ultron!"
You're asking why Kang is called the Scarlet Centurion? Well... it probably has nothing to do with Tony having a suit of armor called the Silver Centurion.
Tony, who was communicating with Strange who was repairing himself, saw this scene and couldn't help but complain.
"This time I'm determined to extract a hefty copyright fee from Kang, if I can manage to collect it."
The threat of the Age of Ultron only delayed Kang for a dozen minutes before he temporarily got rid of the trouble. Then, Baron Zemo and Doom arrived together. One descended from the sky with magic, while the other arrived in front of Kang on a single-person flying vehicle.
"Have you come to submit to me, or do you intend to overestimate yourselves?"
"Submission is not in Doom's dictionary, Kang."
Green magical energy condensed in Doom's hands, while Zemo simply raised his longsword.
“Me too, Kang. Hand over the Cosmic Cube. This thing should belong to Hydra.”
