I'm working on Marvel's Spider-Man in American comics.

Chapter 437 The Nine-Headed Hydra was destroyed, but not completely.

Chapter 437 Hydra's Demise, But Not Complete Demise
Peter did not choose to stop Felicia from seeking revenge; he was simply trying to prevent Felicia from harming herself.

So when Felicia regained her sanity, he told her how to deal with the Human Torch—both the original Jim Hammond and the second Johnny Storm needed air to burn.

Johnny was thoroughly humiliated by Mysterio using this trick before, and the same applies to Felicia. All she needs to do is use venom to suck all the air out of Jim Hammond's vicinity.

After all this was over, the badly injured Venom acted as a living cage, possessing Jim Hammond's lifeless body.

Looking at the body that remained motionless after being possessed by the symbiote, Peter looked at the silent captain.

"Captain, he has been dead for a long time. If he were a living being, the symbiote could parasitize him normally."

"I know...I know."

The captain was not surprised by this result. From the moment the Allies sent Jim Hammond to Berlin to kill Hitler for the vague goal of "capturing Berlin first", it meant that the real killer of Jim Hammond was the Western Allies, or even the American army, in a very high probability.

The captain wasn't surprised by this conclusion; in fact, one could say he was... somewhat numb to it.

"How are things elsewhere, Spider-Man?"

“Well, we caught Taskmaster, or rather, he surrendered voluntarily,” Peter explained. “Cindy is watching him; I came ahead of time.”

With a clap of thunder and Hulk's roar, the giant Hydra robot collapsed to the ground. Then, a strange sound came from the sky, as if something had paused for a moment.

This voice was the result of Tony and his team's efforts. A few minutes ago, after Thor's relentless assault, they arrived at Hydra's central base and began to crack Hydra's self-destruct program.

"Unfortunately, you have no chance of cracking my program, because it is a creation of the human brain. The Zola Algorithm has surpassed your limits, Tony Stark."

Animzola's large head appeared on the screen, mocking Tony and Pym who were trying to stop the self-destruct program: "I am the first person to upload my mind to a computer. I have surpassed ordinary programs. You cannot defeat a soul in the network."

"Actually, we are racing against time to crack and download Hydra's existing data."

Tony chuckled. "Besides, your information is a bit outdated. We've already taken down a data ghost, what was it called... Green Goblin?"

"How dare you compare that kind of thing to me!"

"The point is, it wasn't us who killed him, was it?"

Tony looked at the treasure with a satisfied smile: "Haven't you noticed that you're losing control of the system? Come and meet Ultron."

"what?"

Animzola didn't react at first, but as Ultron entered the network, a war between digital ghosts and super AI began.

Zola, as a digital ghost, certainly had his advantages; normal AI cannot understand human thought. However, Ultron possessed human thought patterns and also had the learning and evolutionary speed of AI, quickly beginning to defeat Zola.

The self-destruct sequence of the entire base was quickly deactivated, and the crisis in Budapest was essentially resolved.

Tony was leisurely browsing the data in Hydra's database when his expression suddenly turned serious. He saw Howard Stark's death record and immediately clicked on it.

The Winter Soldier, James Buchanan Barnes, carried out the mission to eliminate Howard Stark on December 16, 1991.

"Tony, what's wrong?" Pym asked, looking at the battlefield again before disarming the Hydra weapons. Tony, who seemed to be in a daze, forced a smile and said, "Nothing, let's continue."

Control of the Budapest base has been taken over.

"Well done, Ultron." Pym looked pleased. "I'll have to give you a check-up when we get back, make sure you're not corrupted by Hydra's evil ways. By the way, how's Animzora?"

"It has escaped into some kind of local area network and lost signal."

"Good news from the captain's side: they've captured Taskmaster, a Grim Reaper, and the modified original Pyromancer. Oh, and Baron Strucker, the leader of Hydra. Quite a haul!"

As Tony spoke, he checked the entire Hydra list and found that almost all the prominent figures had been arrested, with no one missing.

It went by way too smoothly.

Of course, not all battles went smoothly. For example, with Wolverine, Logan failed to capture X-23 and instead got a beating from his own daughter, watching the enemy retreat. As for whether Logan held back, it's hard to say.

In conclusion, with Strucker's capture, the giant Hydra robot collapsed, its self-destruct program ceased to function, and the Avengers successfully defeated their enemy.

Peter looked at Felicia, who silently stared at Jim Hammond lying on the ground, covered in venom, without uttering a word. Peter wasn't sure what Felicia was feeling right now.

The murderer he had been searching for was actually a corpse that had been dead for decades and was being controlled by Hydra. Perhaps from another perspective, the entire Hydra was responsible for Walter Hardy's death, but at least the one who actually carried out the act was the first Human Torch right before his eyes.

But he was already dead.

"How does it feel? Not so good, right? It's like you got your revenge but didn't feel anything at all."

Sylvia then added an untimely blow: "You're lucky, at least you're not just a pathetic ghost left with nothing but revenge. I've seen plenty of people whose lives consist only of revenge, and once they've accomplished it, they become new demons."

"You talk as if you've actually experienced it yourself."

Felicia's words didn't sound like a simple rebuttal; rather, they were tinged with anger.

Sylvia raised an eyebrow and extinguished Felicia's anger with a single sentence.

“Of course I’ve been through it. I killed the person who killed my mother back then. So I know what it feels like after revenge is done—it’s like nothing.”

None of the exhilaration, anger, or repression you expected occurred.

“Revenge will destroy a person, child. When you have taken your revenge, you need to think about another, more crucial issue.”

The captain walked over and said to Felicia, "Besides revenge, what do you have left? Because what you have left is what you truly possess."

"You have already taken your revenge. Don't hold onto your anger and hatred anymore."

I'll make up for the missed chapter tomorrow.
